Only had for 3 weeks and already ripping...disappointed.

It was WAY smaller than we thought it would be. My daughter is in 8th grade and had planned to use it for school. It was way too small to hold her binder, iPad, and books. She had already thrown the tags away so we couldn't return. The backpack is nice quality, and we love the color- just too small

My daughter wanted it for a school backpack, but it is much too small for that. She can't even fit her lunch or a water bottle.

I was very disappointed with this product as it came in a damaged condition with stains. Because I needed a backpack so quickly, I decided against the return process, however, since wearing it, I've come to notice how stiff it is and how little of a stretch the pockets have. This is not a very functional nor comfortable backpack by any means and I would not purchase this style again.

Bought this for my middle-school daughter. After she puts her laptop and 2" binder in, there's not room for much else. You can't fit a water bottle in the side pocket with the laptop and binder inside. She can kind of cram her lunchbox in, but all in all, this is a really small backpack and I'm tempted to return it.

My daughter picked this backpack and I told her I thought it may be too small. But since she's starting high school she doesn't have to carry much so we got it any way. The space for books is ok, although she has no actual books. It fits two small binders and a laptop. But the big problem is that it has a weird front pocket. It's only half the length of the backpack. So it makes the backpack top heavy once you put all your pens, pencils, etc. in. Which leaves open space on the inside at the bottom, but you can't get anything in it because the top is full. Very strange design. We will be returning since she can't fit what she needs for school inside.

Backpack is cute but smaller than we expected. I am unsure how my daughter will be able to use it for middle school

I bought this backpack for high school. It has sustainable material and looks nice, but unfortunately it is very slim. I couldn't fit more then three one inch binders in the large pocket. The water bottle side pockets are also very small and were barely usable when items are in the bag. Overall I will be returning this bag because the size is not worth the price.

This backpack is NOT big enough for school. I bought this for my freshmen year of college, and barely anything fits other than a computer and 2 notebooks

We have bought Northface Jester and Jester II for years. Bought this foe my middle schooler and it hardly holds any binders or books, especially compared to the previous design. The height and width and fine, but there is no depth or expansion to this. Unfortunately I took off the tags and can't return it, but I would if I could. I'm sure it's great for college where you primarily take a laptop and a folderbut for middle or high school, absolutely nota waste of money and we will have to get another backpack.

Adorable print. Perfect size. BUT returned it because the "padding" at the shoulders of the straps was stiff as wood (bricks?) and painful to wear. I trying softening them by scrunching them a a few times, but no luck. Too painful to keep on for just a walk through the house. I really, really wanted this bag, but there was no way I could wear it.

Bought it as a bookbag for my high school daughter.. Really cute and stylish but very small I will probably have to purchase a bigger bag.. Did not think they were so slim for the price I paided.

I've always had NorthFace backpacks- my last one was 6 years old & used on a daily basis. I decided that it was time for an upgrade and bought the Jester design. After having this new one for only 6 months, the stitching is already coming loose in multiple areas. As a veterinary student, I only need to carry my laptop, iPad and a few folders- so I wouldn't say that I've over-packed the bag to cause this. In addition, I've used this bag to travel with and was disappointed that there isn't much room to comfortably utilize it as a carry-on.

The color was cute but not so comfortable, not enough room for my daily commute

I got this bookbag 2 months ago for school and the cords on the front of the bookbag broke and I didn't pay that price for it to just break I expected the quality to be better but it wasn't like north face is known for their quality and it broke in just a couple of months

So here's the thing. This pack is a nice pack. When I first got it, I did a YouTube review on it because I was impressed with the quality. I really loved the computer compartment. That was the reason I got this bag, I didn't see any other bags on the market that had the floating pocket that could transform into a hydration pouch. The storage is great too. My main issue with this bag is the left shoulder strap. After using it daily for one year (only ONE YEAR), the shoulder strap had warped and it was uncomfortable to wear. The school year ended though and I graduated so I didn't think much of it since I wouldn't be using the bag. Flash forward to last year when I travelled to India and had the bag with me. Omg. It was SO uncomfortable when it was filled to capacity, the shoulder strap kept turning inside out and digging in in a weird angle. It was not pleasant. But again I put it away. Then this year when I pulled it out again I was reminded just how ridiculous it was and ended up using a different bag. Idk if maybe it's just my bag but yikes.

I bought another model of the jester and loved it until it wore out, then I bought the latest model and it doesn't fit my laptop. If you have anything bigger than a MacBook, it probably wont fit. That pocket is super tight so I was very disappointed to send it back. Its cute, but I can't use it. I was also surprised that the front pocket isn't as deep as the bag, its very shallow.

Everything was great for the past 2 years that I have had this bookbag but the problem is that one the pockets for the books were to small whenever I would put in my 15in laptop with out a sleeve it would make the bookbag really heavy... and then that on top of carrying binders my back was killing me! (mind you I only carried 2 2in binders, pencil pouch, folder, papers and a metal water bottle in the side pockets.) Also the water bottle packets ARE WAY TO SMALL if you have a 40oz water bottle it is impossible to get the stupid water bottle in the pocket... also if you look at the video provided THE WHOLE ZIPPER BROKE DURING THE MIDDLE OF SCHOOL SO ALL SCHOOL YEAR I CARRIED A BROKEN ZIPPER AND NORTH FACE REFUSED TO REPLACE THE BAG!!! EVEN THOUGH THEY SAID LIFETIME WARRANTY!

I actually ended up returning this bookbag. I bought it for college classes because I loved the look of it and it had the side pockets for a water bottle. I also liked having another pocket on the front of the bag. However, the bag is actually VERY small. It was able to fit my laptop, but not much else. It's very hard to get books in and out of the bag. The way the front pocket is situated, if it is full, it creates an awkward bulge at the top, which inhibits getting into the bottom of the bag from the main pocket and makes it top heavy. If you are using this for something like hiking or traveling, I would recommend.

Ugh. I use this as my daily back pack at middle school. I bought it before the start of the year but now after only a few months the chest clip has pulled off and the water bottle pocket has holes and frayed. I don't think it's going to last a school year!

I got this backpack for Christmas a year ago and have been super disappointed in it. I immediately realized how much smaller it was than my previous Jester backpack. Then as I've used it more and been commuting via bike and walking, I've realized it's hardly water resistant at all. All of my stuff gets soaked whenever it rains. Water just sits in the flaps up front and absorbs into the bottom of my bag, thus my books, papers, and computer get ruined. Really displeased with this bag and it's honestly an embarrassment from Northface. Definitely makes me wonder what your quality standards have become. Absolutely would not recommend this bag.

My bag got stolen a few weeks ago and I tried to find the old style jester and had no luck. This new style jester is to top heavy which drove me nuts. I kept it for a week and returned in. I wish they would bring back the original style that has zippers that went all the way down on both sides as well as a bigger front pocket with zippers that went all the way down and the pocket was closer to the bottom of the bag. Idk if I'll buy another north face unless the original style jester came back.

Nice backpack, just wish the company would get better service.

Bag was extremely small

This back bag is a very nice bag. However it is not a good buy for high school students. This bag is too small for all the books we need to carry and is overpriced for the size.
