I really liked my old Jester back pack and when it developed a hole I immediately bought a new one because I loved it so much. However, I am not pleased with the new design. Specifically the front pocket, it is very small and does not go down the hole length of the back pack, like the old design. because of this the backpack seems to have less space overall. Also with the front pocket only being on the top half of the backpack putting anything it it causes the backpack to be top heavy and fall over a lot. Also if you zipper the backpack with the zippers on the top and have a a lot of stuff in the front pocket, that weight will cause the zippers to open- this happened to me and my books fell out. Overall, I would not buy this backpack again because of the design changes. Wish I could go back to the old style.

Broke after 10 months of use. The zipper separated from the fabric and I can no longer zip it. Extremely disappointed in this as North Face used to be know for their quality

My wife bought me this as a father's day gift to replace the original northface backpack that was amazing. This is so poorly designed. The front pocket where you keep all your small items is only cut to the center of the bag... causing it to constantly fall over when placed in a car, chair or floor. the bag looks really nice on. I used it as a daily driver for my work laptop and gear. But i dread it. When i travel i use the old Northface bag.

The North face jester lacks mobility in the admin panel destroying the point of being fast. The Jester has also very uncomfortable shoulder straps. I highly recommend the borealis instead of the jester. The borealis provides more pockets that are easier for use and more durable panels.

This is the worst backpack for school. I can only fit a small laptop and folder in it. It will not hold a single binder. I would never buy again. I don't know how this is something used for school.

Very disappointed. The bunny string broke and they will not replace it. I have to go thru the warranty and submit a claim. Received it on 8/21 broke on 9/2. 30 day returns is from date of purchased. We lost 1 week of that window due to processing/shipping. Will not be buying another North Face again. The price you pay they should last longer and be easier to return.

The back pack was poorly designed. The back pack flops over when you open it. The smaller compartment always gets in the way of the main compartment, making it really annoying and difficult to access your items, especially if you're in a hurry. The back pack is also not as rugged.

I've had this product for a couple of days and I am already dissapointed in this backpack. It is extremely difficult to fit anything inside the main pocket because the front (small) pocket bulges into the main one from the inside of the backpack, therefore having to agressively shove things to the bottom of the main pocket. Because it is hard to fit anything into the bottom of the bag, the upper half of the backpack looks very wide compared to the bottom half, and makes for an odd, unbalanced look. the straps are also somewhat short, having to loosen them to easily put on the bag. Overall this bag is a 4/10. Good build quality, but I would recommend a different backpack if you are looking for something good for school. Thanks.

The tags in the front fell apart in the 1st couple of months with just light use. Should be covered by warranty considering how much it costs. And the bag is bent out of shape just from light use- a laptop and a couple of notebooks

Used this pack as a diaper bag so adult, light use TWICE and the strap seam came undone. It was just past the return window and I'm expected to pay to have it shipped back for warranty fix.

Unless you're only planning on carrying 2 notebooks and a computer I don't recommend this bag. The second pocket is very poorly designed if you want to actually put stuff in it. When you fully unzip the second pocket the whole pocket just flaps down which makes anything in the main part of that pocket fall out. There is almost no access to the bottom of the main pocket because the top part is so compact. Because of the inaccessibility of the bottom part of the main pocket, this gives makes the bag look weird from the outside and makes it unable to stand up on its own if you sit it on the ground. The bag just falls on its side. The straps are very uncomfortable and If you lean over slightly the strap will slip off of your shoulder. I have had this bag for less than a year (just for school) and the wires on the back have already snapped. Overall this bag is very poorly designed and I would recommend getting a different brand or style of bag.

Pathetic design of the upper pocket makes this bag very bad. It's difficult to explain, unfortunately I bought this bag inspite of several review comments about the exact same aspect not being good. I still bought as nothing seemed a problem from the photos, however the upper pocket really is a spoiler. It creates 2 problems at a very high level of review: (1) it makes the bag look very bad from outside when the upper pocket is stuffed with some stuff, however if the lower pocket is not 100% stuffed, the upper part of the bag will bulge out and bottom portion will cave in, and it looks really absurd / odd. (2) upper pocket really blocks your way to reach the bottom of the main bag compartment easily. I have never seen such a poor design of any backpack. I understand perhaps the intent was to create something innovative, but it has turned out a very bad design at the end (both aesthetically and for practical purposes)

Advertises an 11-inch wide laptop sleeve but it is actually about 10-1/4 inches. And it has no depth. 9-3/8-inch laptop doesn't fit. Nothing but a piece of paper fits in the laptop sleeve. Returned.

Backpack for travel because I wanted the side pockets for my water bottle. Unfortunately, if you actually fill this backpack all the way full, the water bottle falls out the side. The top pocket seems like a good idea but if that is full, it becomes top-heavy and your entire backpack flops open when you open the main compartment. There is more room at the bottom of the backpack but once it starts getting full, it's really hard to zipper. I love Northface and have a ton of their backpacks. This one was just a fail for me.

Too small for a 13 yr old. Was very disappointing considering the cost. I don’t think it will last the school year.

My 16-inch macbook pro does not fit inside the sleeve. It won't even go in. Such a lie. They should have said that only 13-inch fits, not 16. Definitely returning.

This backpack is WAY TOO small for use as a school backpack. You can barely fit a medium binder, small binder, and notebooks in the pack. The water bottle pockets will barely accommodate a modern insulated water bottle. DO NOT RECOMMEND for school.

This bookbag tore after 6 months. The only way to get it covered under warranty is to send it back for two months. What is my kid supposed to do for a bookbag? Pictures should be enough.

I liked the size and style of the backback. But the zippers were of poor quality zipping open easily and contents tend to fall out.

Bought this since it is being marketed as easily accessible and easy to pack since it stands on it's own. This is totally false. Also, the front pocket is useless and if you have things in it the whole thing flips over. Additionally, the packing and unloading of the backpack is really hard if you chose to put something in the front pocket. Really a big disappointment.
