3D V8 is most comfortable shoes!! And sooooooooo pretty GTX.

I bought these for hiking on beaten paths they are excellent . Also use them for walking around town the flexible but stif soles are great for preventing foot pain.

They kick butt and take names! Awesome apparel from Salomon as usual!

I wanted something lightweight and waterproof for our spring trip to Yellowstone and grand Tetons, and literally tried on a dozen different pairs of boots, hiking shoes and trail runners. I ended up keeping these. I know they are advertised as a trail runner but I think they are too stiff for that. However, they are much lighter and easier to wear than a hiking boot. To me, they are perfect. They are super comfortable, and super convenient with the lease cinch system. I can highly recommend them. I would suggest going up a half size at least. I normally wear an 11 1/2 to 12 depending upon the shoe, and I purchased a 12 1/2 wide in this. They tend to run a little small and narrow

This is my second pair of the XA Pros and I couldn't be happier with them. Great all-around shoe for me - hiking, approach, every day.

They replaced a pair the lasted 10 years with just a little shoe goo but were left in Guatemala after my Masons on a Mission stove building trip, too dirty.

I have been wearing Salomon shoes exclusively for many years. For me, they simply meet every need and desire in a shoe I have.

I bought my first pair of these shoes two years ago. While there is not enough tread left for hiking, they are now my everyday bang around shoes that I leave by the door. My new gor-tex shoes fit the same and work great on the trail

One of the best all-around shoes on the market. Comfortable, aesthetically pleasing an amazing function.

Still well made, but sizing has changed. I have worn a size 10.5 for years in this model. But now the shoe is larger for a given size. A 10.5 is now larger and doesn't fit and the 10.0 is too short..bummer! Shoes are still well made, but sizing is more difficult for me.

Exceptional shoe/model. Been wearing these since 2011 and haven't been disappointed. Superior performance in all conditions, especially wet, muddy, rocky hikes. Cleans up nicely for tooling around in the urban jungle. Will continue to purchase the XA Pro as long as Salomon keeps em coming.

These have a very comfortable, snug fit. The really grip the heels which is great for folks w heel issues. Would def but again.

I've been wearing this model for 10+ years. I love the fit and support. Great colors too. First time going with the Gortex version and very happy with them so far.

I wear these to work every day, unless the snow gets too deep. Then I switch to my high top Salomons. Both pairs feel like I'm wearing tennis shoes.

Great shoes very comfortable and excellent performance on trail and walking

I bought these and they are everything I had hoped they would be comfortable with hood traction.

A performance shoe that takes a beating and looks good too. I use these in the gym, running on the trail, traveling, and casually. Though, mostly for workouts. The all black colorway goes with everything and the styling is sort of aggressive technical which I like. Gore Tex is a must because I like to wash these shoes regularly to keep them looking fresh and I don't want to wait for them to dry. I love the lace system. Now tying shoes seems like an outdated idea. On/off quickly. Annoying airport shoe removals are so fast. I wouldn't want to live without it. The fit of the previous version was better because it was a little wider. Since I wore a size 10 US in the old model, I also ordered my first pair of v8's in size 10 US. It took me a year to face the fact that that they were just slightly too small. So, I ordered my second pair of v8's one half size up at 10.5 US and they feel great now. This was a big relief because I don't want to wear another shoe! I suppose the improvement that could be made is to return to the wider, more natural fit of the previous version.

I tend to have challenges with my ankle and arch pain, but the stability in these shoes feel great. The exterior is very durable and can take a beating.

Love these XA Pro 3D shoe! I was looking for something for winter to walk the dog around the neighborhood and local trails. Conventional sneakers don't keep you warm and lack traction in sloppy conditions. I really like the speed lacing which allows for easy slip on/off. They are light and stylish and fit as advertised. Highly recommend

The shoes I bought are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. The unusual lacing mechanism is convenient (though I had to modify it).
