These shoes are incredibly comfortable and waterproof. Perfect for trail running, walking and light hiking. I have purchased over half a dozen of these shoes over the years andits the shoe I compare all others to.

I bought a pair about two years ago. Wore the soles out. We'll see how the new pair holds up.

These are very light and very comfortable and I am happy with the purchase.

I believe this is my 5th generation pair of XA Pros. Once again, Salomon gets it right. They are not so different than beat-up V5 pair, or V7s that I still wear. Just a few tweaks here and there but the same fit and speedlace that just plain works. I also supinate and find many off-road shoes quickly fatigue my knees w/ their curved lasts. The XA Pro's with their almost-straight last never have. Hence, they are my daily shoe. Bought the GorTex version this time around as occasionally find need of keeping dry in the rain. I'll take the trade-off of a maybe being warmer in the summer. And the new blueish "Flint Stone" colorway (they certainly dont look like Fred's ) is a good change from the neutral black I have bought in the past.

So far so good. Haven't experienced in wet weather yet. Not too heavy and greeat traction.

I used these shoes for daily long distance walking. I normally walk between 4 and 8 miles. These shoes accomplish what I wanted. The keep my foot dry as I walk through damp trails, they are stable walking through trail areas and they are comfortable.

I have 4 different pairs of Salomon shoes, and all gore tex type. Durable material for outdoor use, rain, wet, mud, etc. keeps my feet dry and easy to clean keep fresh looking. Few pairs use for work wear for my daily office causal - with nice complements of my shoes collection. Overall well design, fun visual, and comfortable. A bit more $$ but worth it or wait for sales.

I bought these a month ago and now have about 30 trail running miles on them through the AZ mountains. Great support and comfort. They've held up really well.

I was having back issues and looking for a very supportive shoe. I found that these shoes fit awesome. They have reduced my back pains. I will be buying another pair soon.

It's lovely to buy shoes that fit immediately, and comfort, and that you forget about from day one. This pair is one of those shoes for me. Perfect for my hiking.
