This shoe is great for trail running and hiking. Excellent support and nice light feel. The sole grip is aggressive and works well in loose dirt and mud.

I've had these shoes for about a month, wearing them around the yard, house, and up to 6-7 mile hikes. Super comfortable and great traction. I would definitely recommend.

For years I wore boots - first leather, then Salomon boots, then converted to early versions of XA Pro 3D. All have been terrific, and they keep getting better. Perfect combo of lightweight and comfy vs. sole and toe protection, and they usually dry out overnight on multi-day backpacking trips. Never a blister or foot problem, just miles of pleasure from day-hikes to 3-week thru-hikes.

I've been wearing XA Pro 3D as my day to day shoes for at least the last 10 years. The changes have been small on previous generations in my opinion but the jump up to the 8 has been significant. Better construction and definitely a better fit. Feels like it will last longer and I think the way the upper is made now will look be more durable than previous versions.

Great shoe! Trekked all over the Sierras in them. Really like how comfortable they are. Fit true to size. Had no problems in elevation gain or descent. Also no blisters or hot spots. I was also able to attach micro spikes onto them when I got into icey conditions. Both worked well together. Definitely recommend.

I bought this pair about a month ago and can't say enough good things. I was "replacing" another pair of Salomon shoes that I've had for three years. They never came Apart or tore during those three years and the only reason why I was replacing them is because I have wore the soles Down.

Without exaggerating, I wear these shoes all the time. I have them in every color and have the Gortex version for colder weather. Durable. Comfortable. Breathable. I've never had an issue with the tie system.

I've been using Salomon shoes for years now - these being a newer model are the best fit out of all the shoes and boots owned. I'm a 8 UK for Salomons shoes and they tend to be a wee it snug to begin with, but these I was able to wear all day straight from the off. They are a little lighter than previous models. Only time will tell how robust they are - the colour does grow on you.

I'm on my third pair of these shoes (1 was the old model) and while I cant speak for trail running I can however say that these shoes are beasts for thru hiking and felt comfortable for those long days. For example I completed the Slovenian mountain trail and Lycian way in one pair of these which adds up to over 1000km of rough, sharp rocky terrain and they still have some life left in them . The shoes kept me stable and as someone who has ankle instability I haven't rolled my ankle in these shoes once, they are like a boot in terms of ankle stability. These shoes also breathe really well so no blisters from sweat and the lacing system was so nice when I take breaks as they can be popped on and off with no hassle. As for sizing I fit 9 but wear a 9.5 USA, my feet are neither narrow nor wide. I can not recommend these shoes enough!

I've owned a dozen pairs of the XA PRO 3D. Overall they are fantastic shoes and obviously keep me coming back. The v8 is an improvement on the last version and I highly recommende them.

Bought 30 days ago, so about 60 miles of use. The fit is great especially the good heel capture with a roomy toe box. My second pair of Salomons with this closure and this one is refined with a reinforced tongue. The single lacing to the toes seems to allow more toe room when lacing tightly.

I really enjoy these shoes !!! I do 17-23K steps a day and they don't let me down... Mesh design breathes well too!!

Comfortable, supportive, durable. And great look. Great shoe for working outside

I followed the fitting instructions online. The size was perfect. I really like the lace up system - I't nice at the end of a hike to be able to reach down with one hand and in seconds step out of the shoe.

Great shoe in an awesome colorway. Please make a salomon forces mid boot in this colorway!
