Was wearing a different shoe out on the Long Trail and I had the worst foot pain. Realized the shoes I was wearing were not working for me. Switched to these and the foot pain went away. Wear them for every hike now! I'm a woman and got these men's shoes as the women's equivalent was too narrow for my feet.

Fantastic support for my arches without feeling like a leather skating boot. The laces are really innovative. They are holding up extremely well for me where others would've already worn through on the upper thanks to the extended upper protection. My new favorite general use sneakers. Thanks Salomon!

Purchased for the Appalachian and used them on a section hike. I'm very hard to please always looking for quality that works. These shoes work very well for me. I have narrow feet but my heel did not slip and on decent my toes did not slide forward keeping my foot comfortable and stable. Highly recommend this shoe for hiking. I'm 6'2" 240 lbs with a 35 lbs pack. My feet are fine no blisters or hot spots.

I have been wearing these shoes for 6 weeks and love them. Only took 1 hike to break them in, snug and very comfortable shoes for a long day in the trail.

I have been wearing these practically all of the time since I bought them about a month ago. This includes standing at my retail job for 8 hours on cement floors, day hiking several times of over 5 miles on rocky trails, mountain bike riding on technical and non-technical trails. They are comfortable and fit my long, narrow feet perfectly. The speed laces are great, hold well, and are so simple to use. Will definitely buy more Salomon trail runners in the future.

Got these in early October un time for some epic fall hikes in the Sierra and was not disappointed, they are simply the best I've ever had and I plan to buy more! The wide gave me just a bit more room so my toes don't rub on each other. After a PCT ending trip due to toe rub with a narrower shoes I thought I'd try these and wish I had years ago. Besides that the grip is like velcro, stability amazing and shock absorption are all the best too. What a great shoe! Ive had many other brands and models and these flat out just work for me. My feet are 12.5 D/E, right is a bit wider.

This is a very comfortable shoe with great grip. I wear them eight to ten hours a day at work while standing the entire time and my feet never bother me. They also do a great job of gripping the flat pedals on my bike.

I purchased the XA Pro 3D more than a month ago. When I first started wearing the shoes I thought I might have made a mistake because they were not that comfortable. But after a few weeks of use the shoes got broken in nicely and now they are among my favorites. This is my second pair of Salomon's and I look forward to purchasing more in the future.

I have two pairs of the XA PRO 3D and have worn them hiking and rucking. They provide incredible support and grip. They hold up well and are super comfortable. I've done a 15+ mile ruck at a fast walk/run pace with no blister or hot spots (Darn Tough socks help). The Kevlar laces with the lace storage pocket on the tongue are the bomb!

Wore them on a 60 mile hiking trip in VA which incl. the Triple Crown. Had only worn them for a couple of miles before hand. Great stability, support. No blisters. All around great hiking shoe. If would rate them 4.8 on a 5 point scale. If they could be made a little higher, they would be perfect.

I love Salomon footwear! They just fit my feet perfectly. When I hike/backpack I typically like the protection from wetness and the stability of a full or mid-cut boot (I own them both). I've found that on warmer trips after a couple days of my feet sweating I get blisters. Blisters can ruin a trip. I finally decided to check out some trail runners to keep my feet cooler while backpacking. The Salomon XA Pro 3D V8 combined with Darn Tough ultra-light running socks were the perfect combination for extremely comfortable and blister free miles on a recent 5 day excursion into the Sierra. I love these Salomons! Some observations: - the lace system takes some getting used to. For a snugger fit you'll need to use your fingers to pull up on the laces working from the bottom up to the top. If you just pull the cord it doesn't work as well. - at first I thought I accidentally ordered the wide size as it seemed my foot had too much room and moved around a bit much. After tightening up the lacing and a few miles of wear, the shoe formed to my foot creating a perfect fit. - you can actually feel the breeze on the top of your foot from the open mesh. This allowed my feet to breathe and stay cool. - due to the open mesh you'll notice fine dust and debris will get in the shoe and on your socks and feet. Every night I washed my feet which is a good practice to get into... - the 3D advanced chassis provides comfort and stability while the contra grip outsole gives you excellent traction. I can't rave about these shoes enough! If you're looking for a pair of trail runners for hiking/backpacking you must give these a try...

Look good. Nice not having laces. Bein out in them a few times and getting better each time.

I bought my second pair of the same model of Salomon running shoes after five years of wearing the first pair. I will also buy them again in five years. They are perfect in every aspect. I wear them as only shoes all day every day. I have worn other shoes from Converse to Nike over the past 60 years and these are a level above them all.

I've been running on the XA Pros for over ten years now, and they keep getting better. The V8 is lighter, but still has the durable sole you expect. The mesh under the lacing system keeps out debris and makes for an ever better fit. Looking forward to running on these for another decade!

I bought these a month ago but did not wear them until today. I did a five mile inclined hike and my feet felt great the whole time. They rewrites zero break in time and I love the heavy tread. Great traction on those steep inclines.

I have worn this shoe non stop for 3-4 months and it is great...starting to break down so I'm glad I bought a second pair!!!

For years I have purchased the XA PRO 3D and love the latest version. Extremely comfortable and stable on varying terrain.

I have been using the XA PRO 3D shoes for more than 10 years now and I like them for the following reasons: comfort, stability, protection and drop (11mm). These reasons are essential for me to continue trail running as a senior without damaging my body.

I've had these shoes a few weeks and I'm very pleased. Moderate hiking and many walks. Exactly what I wanted in a shoe; comfortable and very stable/sure footed

This is a great shoe. Takes an orthotic effortlessly and has some amazing grip.
