The wider sizes are a welcome addition. I've worn the standard widths for years and really haven't had a problem with them other than they required a short break in period.

These are my second pair. The tread life on the soles of the shoes are great. The shoe is very stable on uneven ground while hiking and provides good support. The shoe being wide makes for more comfortable experience hiking all day. Like my last pair, I was able to hike all day long with shoes right out of the box without getting blisters.

These are the most sure footed shoes I've ever owned for shifty terrain. Sure footed and protected steps are ensured by the structured chassis and the toe protector has saved me from many a stubbed toe. Some people say the tread wears fast, particularly on pavement. You shouldn't be going for these on pavement to begin with. This is a breathable shoe where you can actually feel air coming through the foot.

I bought these shoes, primarily as work shoes. They were comfortable right out of the box. I predominantly wear these in urban and wooded terrain. They are a great low profile, warm weather shoe.

The XA PRO 3D has served me well on the PCT and JMT. Comfortable and durable. Occasionally difficult to find in my size.

I bought these for disc golfing and love them. Very comfortable and breathable and can handle any terrain. Will definitely buy again when I wear these ones out.

I bought these last summer in the midst of COVID craziness to replace a pair of 20 year old KEENs. I was getting back into hiking/outdoors as a way to enjoy socially distanced activities after years of city life. I love the look of these and the overall stability and cool pull-up lace thing (which means my shoes never come untied and I'm unlikely to trip). I think they're comfortable and also supportive, while still maintaining a somewhat feminine look. Note: As others comment, be careful with the sizing. I'm usually an 8 1/2 or 9 ... and I wear an 8 in these (after incorrectly starting by buying an 8 1/2 which felt at least an inch too long).

I first got turned on to the Salomon XA series in 2005 by some friends who got me way into outdoors stuff. The XA Pro back then, followed by the XA Raid 3D, took care of anything I could throw at them. I then went on to big clunky leather boots; this was a mistake. Last week I got back into it with this pair and it's like I never left: the same perfect (narrow) fit, the fast Contagrip sole, and an even better version of the Quicklace system. Protection is solid and my feet are loving the ventilation. Fast dayhikes this spring are going to be fantastic!

I bought these shoes to have a pair for knocking around the shop at work and they have since taken over daily driver duties. I wear the sense ride 3 for running and love those- these are a touch more rigid and would be a great light duty hiker on rough terrain.

The Salomon XA Pro 3D V8 is an outstanding shoe! I have owned many pairs of the previous generations and currently have two pairs of the newest generation, one green and one black. These shoes are very well constructed and hold up to extreme use. Awesome grip and very comfortable.

Incredible shoe and I've tried on a few. I wear a size 91/2 medium and I should of ordered a 10 medium I will definitely buy them again, but I will them in a 10 Awesome shoe!

The fabric that wraps the interior heel cups always blow out at about 300 miles, and the tread on the V8's last about 450-500. So I moved up to the wide thinking that would solve that problem, but I had more heel slippage than wearing flip flops. Still an awesome shoe if you have a brick for a foot, but now I have a paper weight in my closet with 2 miles on them.

These are great all around trail shoes. With good support, rigidity and width these are becoming my go to shoe.

The XA PRO 3D has a great fit. The grip is incredible and they feel very light on the foot. Easy on and off.

I love this shoe. I have bought dozens of Salomon trail runners over the years, and this new pair does not disappoint. Fits well and does exactly what I need.

Most comfortable and durable shoes I've ever worn on the range. They truly live up to all the hype about them.

I purchased these shoes last month and there are fantastic. The fit and comfort are great, and the laces are unique. Will definitely purchase again.
