I ordered my usual 8M, which has been fine with several other Merrell products. This shoe is very loose and falls away from my foot with each step, even with adding padded insoles AND socks. I can fit two fingers between my heels and the back of the shoe. I love the style, quality, and especially the sturdy traction sole; I would be willing to buy another pair in 7 1/2 size, except that I can't find any information here that tells me exactly how much smaller that is. I don't want to end up with TWO pairs that don't fit.

These seemed to run a little narrow, but also I have very wide feet. I think they might have worked, but I was looking for a cute, stylish shoe I could wear walking around NYC and visiting art galleries. These ended up looking "frumpy" to my eyes- they looked like I was wearing crocs. (My spouse thought they *were* cross, when I was trying them on.) So if that's not relevant to your use, they should be fine. I returned mine.

Good for folks with high arches, as there was a big gap with my low arch feet. Also my narrow feet were too narrow for this shoe. So I had to send back unfortunately.

I've worn this style of Merrell's for years and admittedly my feet have changed. However, per other reviews, these are very stiff compared to others, the leather is not as shiny or conditioned as the photo and very narrow. I ended up returning them. Having the stretchy fabric on both sides of the opening would have made a huge difference here, rather than just on 1 side, the inside of the shoe (hopefully that makes sense).

I recently bought this shoe and find it to be uncomfortable. The interior of the shoe has a terrible chemical smell that adheres to my socks and it's awful! This is my first pair of Merrill's and unfortunately I can't return them to the store I bought them at.

Unfortunately these really made my feet sore. I was looking for a comfortable pair of shoes because I'm on my feet all day but these hurt my feet right away. I wish they would of worked out because I love the style.

I love the looks of these, and the toes and arch were all perfect on me. But after trying three different sizes, I just have to give up. They slip off my heel with every step, which will wear out my socks, and eventually wear out the skin on the back of my foot. They're just too spacious through the back of the shoe, so they don't stay on my foot.

These shoes look like they come from wish. SO cheaply made! I love Merrell quality, but as their quality goes down, the prices go up. These shoes DO NOT have the support you would expect from Merrells. Plus, they squeak loudly. The upper part of the shoes squeak, not the sole. I have worn Merrells for over 10 years, but I will not be buying anymore.

The shoes were nice, but one was half size larger than the other, so I returned them, will try a new pair in a store.

They show you what looks like a black leather shoe and it's not it's suede, sent them back and they sent the same thing again. I called several times and they said it's correct the lighting gives it the shining look in the picture. BS! Benn using this company for yrs. Not anymore.

I ordered a half size down based on the reviews. So excited to receive them only to find out that I may have had to order a half size up! I have been a size 10 forever, and until recently when I was remeasured and told that my arches are falling (along with everything else) and I should wear a 10.5. After cramming my feet in, they are nowhere near even a size 10! Back they will go

These are hard and uncomfortable. Even though this is the same size I purchase from the store they are too big, slip right off of my heel and even with an insole do not fit. Also, the look and quality of the leather is under par. I am not happy with this shoe in either a black or brown!

I was not able to wear my shoes. They were very uncomfortable to wear. They squeezed my feet. For a medium width shoe they were very tight.

Not at all like my last 2 pair. Felt very cheaply made from the so called "leather" uppers to the "rubber" soles. Very disappointed Merrell. I returned.
