The heel did not hold my foot in the shoe.

Feel a bit stiff at first but broke in easy. My only wish is if they had a bit more padding in the sole.

I was excited that the shoes came so quickly. Unfortunately when I opened the box I was very disappointed. I was sent the right size, but I was sent the wrong the color. I ordered the shoes in bracken, but received black instead. I don't need another pair of black shoes....I tried them on to see if they fit and were comfortable. they were the right size and felt good. I chatted with Zappos and was very disappointed when I was told they no longer had my size in bracken. I was told that they expect more and was put on a notification list. Fingers crossed. I liked the shoes, which I ordered in my regular size, but did not want black.

These shoes were nice; unfortunately, I had to return because they were a bit big even though it was my size.

The sizing is wonky on these shoes, simultaneously too long (heel slippage) and too narrow (cramped toe box). I normally wear a 7.5M. After several exchanges, I found that a 6.5W worked. So, you might try ordering down a full size and going with a wide if you normally wear a medium.

Even though I had to try 3 different sizes to get the perfect fit, the shoes are comfortable.

Likely a nice shoe to wear, but it was too large and had to return it. The only way I could have worn it was with double layer heavy socks.

The Encore Moc from Merrell used to feel more substantial. The leather seems cheaper and the shoe is much lighter, making me wonder what it's missing in there. A sign of the times? Pay more money and get less for it? I wonder if that version of a classic will last as long as the other previous versions have... Only time will tell.

Light and comfortable

I loved the style and design of these shoes! So attractive. I so badly wanted them to work. Unfortunately, the wide ones felt like boats on my feet. The medium ones constricted my toes. I have weird fee--I think other people should give them a try.

wish i read the reviews first. i typically wear an 8.5 shoe, in Merrell. They don't always have a wide option, so I thought I'd give it a try. I tried the 8.5 wide, and it felt great in the toe box area but my heel kept slipping out, soI returned and sized down to the 8 wide, and my heel still slips out. Unfortunately Im going to have to send these back and keep looking.
