I purchase this shoes on September, after I try, It's not comfortable and size is too small. I need to return it.

I have a pair of the Encore Ice that I LOVE. But, of course, they're too hot in the summer so I wanted a pair of these. I ordered my regular size (10.5M) and they fit well except the footbed was just a little bit too short. So I exchanged them for a half size up (11M) to give myself just a little bit more room. Now on the larger size, the leather around the opening of the shoe is so tight I can't even get my foot in. Not sure if this is a quality or design issue, either way I'm incredibly disappointed.

If this were the 1st Merrell shoe I tried on I would never buy another one. I knew instantaneous that this shoe was not standard Merrells. Merrell wraps your feet in cushioney air and my feet are thanking me but not this one instant dislike. The shoe felt heavy,boxy, from the ankle forward felt to long. No comfort, no good arch support and the sole felt like I was standing almost barefoot on the ground. I'm hoping I just got a bad batch because I truly love the Merrell brand.As others stated if it isn't broke don't fix it.

Prior to this purchase (returned to Merrell unworn) I've been a fan of Merrell for many years - never a problem in fit, comfort or wear in any shoe or style. The Breeze 4 however, proved uncomfortable at the outset. Arch in the footbed wasn't as usual for a Merrell in my size (9.5), placed short in the shoebed. Very disappointing.

Used to wear these all the time and loved them. I will not buy again because of the black interior.my feet sweat and smell with the black interior.so disappointed.

Im retuning due to the size is too large, they will be returned

I had this slip on in leather & they were super comfortable. This fabric style is horribleno comfort or support. Footbed has no cushioning in it. Outer fabric too thin for an orthotic to add comfort. With or without different inserts, my feet roll inward when wearing these. Annoying they didn't meet my expectation for Merrill shoes. My Merrill ballerina flats are 6+ years old and far more comfortable than this Encore. Merrell used to be my favorite brand. I'm hoping their leather shoes are still good quality.

The shoes have a very strong and extremely nauseating odor of petroleum VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) which makes it impossible to wear them. I have put them into a storage room to air out but after all these months the odor is just as intense and the room is now reeking as well. Whish I could get my money back. I have worn this product for many years and was always very satisfied with all aspects of these shoes. Will never buy online again.

Sent them back. Not as good quality as older ones, fabric crappy, back a little lower, size a little smaller. Merrell does not serve itself well by cutting corners on a much-loved and trusted product. I'm now going to hesitate before shopping for Merrells.

Don't like the new fit. Heal area too shallow and front of shoe too flat. Shoe does not stay on like the old models. I have worn the Encore for many many years - all colors. Why mess with the fit?

This shoe shown in ALL of the photos looks WHITE. It's called Birch -- as in "White Birch Tree". Therefore I ordered it EXPECTING White. No. It is a light beige (or khaki?), definitely not as photographed. Merrell should have indicated -- This shoe is NOT White. Very disappointed.
