I traveled to New York City and brought these to protect against snow and ice; luckily, there weren't any. Unfortunately, my feet hurt! It could be because this was the first time I wore them, and we walked about 7 miles a day!!

I have bought 2 pairs of the wide goretex anatora 2's and loved them. Fit like a glove and were comfortable right out of the box. The last pair of anatora just kicked the bucket but merrell has been out of my size in wide so I got the wide size siren thinking they would probably fit similarly to the anatora. They don't. They are a lot more narrow even tho I ordered wides and are a lot more padded, I'm not sure if that's why they feel more narrow than all my other pairs of merrells and will feel better once they break in some or what. I'm keeping them tho cuz I really need water proof/ resistant shoes for work and at this point merrell has a limited number of waterproof shoes to choose from. Kinda bummed cuz the pair of trail gloves I ordered at the same time feel really narrow also so I'm starting to feel like they changed the whole reason their shoes fit me well and will have to explore other brands now. Pleas stop making the shoes so narrow.

These shoes fit so well over big toe joints that are very tender from arthritis. However for long walks there is not enough cushioning and I don't use them for my 2 mile daily walks.

Purchased 1st pair 2 years ago and have worn out already, no longer waterproof as seams have all opened up. Over priced, YES. Have high arch and bunions and they do fit very comfortably.

They are very comfortable, as my other pairs of Merrells have been. However, I do not feel that my feet have good contact with the ground and they sort of feel like what I imagine walking in those Chinese block sandals would feel like-but obviously not as severe. They do make me feel a bit unsteady on rough steep terrain, though. I think they deserve somewhere between a 3 and a 4 star. Maybe when they've been worn in a bit more that will improve

I have owned these for about a month. They are already falling apart. I have walked a lot in them, but I am disappointed the top has already started to separate from the bottom and the design on the top is falling off. They are comfortable to wear, but I expected them to last more then a month for the price. Obviously they are no longer waterproof.

Wide wasn't wide enough for me. The bigger problem was lack of padding under the forefoot. They hurt my feet on hard surfaces.

I like the shoes i went to a store and tried on the 8 regular. I only needed an extremely small amount of room in the width. I ordered the wide online and am very disappointed in how small they are. They are extremely tight not wide at all and very uncomfortable.

Not my favorite. Narrow toe bed. Order at least one size larger. Would not recommend for hiking.

Let's start with the good: These were a replacement for my Moabs and they are a very nice looking and well made shoe. My heel doesn't slip and the traction is excellent. I haven't tried them in water to speak to how the waterproofing is, but I have high expectations that it will be more than sufficient. The not so good: My foot runs just on the very edge of wide and standard to the point that 9 times out of 10 I order the standard width shoe and all is good. This shoe is the 10th time. After receiving these shoes I wore them around the inside of my house for a couple of hours to determine how they felt and it seemed like they were ok. A little snug, but new shoe snug, not *too* snug. Nothing a good short break in hike wouldn't take care of. I was wrong. We took a 3 mile hike and by the end of the first mile my feet were screaming. By the end of the entire hike I couldn't wait to take them off. I've worn them on 2 more shorter hikes and unfortunately it doesn't seem like they are going to break in. It's a bummer because I really do like them and now I can't return them.
