I usually love Merrells. With these, the toe box seems a bit narrow, and the arch support seems too far back. The sole is very stiff. These are just okay, but I need a lightweight, waterproof shoe, and there aren't a lot of good options.

I think these shoes are really cool looking. They don't look as clunky as most hiking shoes. I wanted waterproof shoes mostly for walking my dogs and medium length walks. The left shoe felt fine from the beginning, but the little toe on my right foot has been sore and the shoe rubbed. I've been trying different weight socks, and a thinner sock helped. The true test will be when I wear them for long periods of walking. So far so good!

The only reason for the 4 stars I’d that I should have ordered a wide. I would say that the toe box is narrow. I would not guarantee that they are waterproof either. My feet were wet after walking in the rain.

These shoes have taken me all over the Mission District in San Francisco, the beach at Santa Cruz and Pismo Beach as well as Long Beach and it's delightful beach. Oh, how could I forget the Avenue of Giants in the Redwood Forests and Eureka.

I walk four miles 5 days a week and had wore my other Merrill's out after three years. These took less than a week to break in. They are a bit heavy though, due to their thick soles.

Still seem a bit warm for being "breathable" and waterproof. Also the insole or midsole could be a bit more cushioned. Good fit though and not cramped in the toes. The 7 & 1/2 is Sized Correctly: true to size.

These were well-made shoes & fit me perfectly. Unfortunately, they were too heavy for my delicate knees. Very disappointed that I couldn't keep the shoes.

These shoes are terrific. This is my second pair of Merrell’s and they are very stylish. Generally they are comfortable but I found the toe box slightly narrow. I would recommend that you order a wide if there’s any question of whether you need a wide or medium width. The shoes will work perfectly for my purposes once they give a little. Overall i am very pleased with these shoes. The only reason for 4 stars was the very slight narrow toe box.

Great looking shoe, but was tight on top of my foot.

This shoe keeps my feet dry, but it seems a little tighter than the non-waterproof, which I also have. Otherwise, nice, substantive shoe.

This was pretty comfortable and probably great for people who don't need a lot of cushioning and are doing rocky trails. I need cushioning, however, so it wasn't a good fit for me.

I traverse cobblestones and uneven bricks regularly on my daily walks. I needed a tread that could handle those and occasionally damp, wet bricks. I am very pleased with these. They are great unless the bricks are really wet. I have a slim foot and they have GREAT laces that keep my foot in place and do not untie while walking. Good support and comfortable right out of box. Thank you Merrell. Bonus cute looks.

I've had these shoes for about a year now so they're fully broken in. The good: incredibly light weight, especially compared to my older merrells. They are as comfortable as any of my previous merrells and good quality! I wear them just about every day and they still feel solid. Love the vibram soles. Walking around on the streets my feet have stayed dry in the rain, but I'm also not jumping into puddles with them. The bad: they are sized very small. I usually wear a 7.5 or 8 and had to return my first pair of 8s for 8.5s which fit great now. They are very squeaky! I thought this would go away after a couple months but a year later people can still hear me coming from many offices away. Surprisingly, for lightweight shoes, I also find them weirdly hot, which isn't something I've experienced before. They could do with better venting. I wonder if this is a side effect of the 'merrell dry' and really wish they would use gortex more often instead. I would happily pay a little more to see that gortex label! All in all, for an every day shoe they hold up quite nicely. I haven't done any serious hiking in them, but walking around the neighbourhood they are comfy as can be. I have no regrets buying them, but I'll probably try another merrell shoe when these wear out.

I was able to walk miles in these shoes right from the beginning. My only complaint is that they are not waterproof even in just wet grass.

I have several pairs of Siren Light Hiikers and find them to be fairly comfortable but I usually prefer a wide width hiker/sneaker. They were not available in Wide width when I purchased the previous pairs so I was delighted to find the shoe in Wide this time around. I purchased the new Siren version online. I tried them on when they arrived and compared the width to my other pairs. There appears to be no difference in the fit btw the regular width and this new, supposed wide, pair. Disappointing.

I've had merrell shoes before but not actual sneakers. I love these sneakers!! They fit perfect and I was walking with them for hours and my feet didn't hurt at all like they do most of the time.

I wear a size 7 for all shoes and I've never had to wear wide. I took these shoes for a 4 mile hike to break them in & I came back with blisters on my pinky toes. Hoping that I just have to break them in. Otherwise they are comfortable and offered plenty of heel support. I didn't get to try the waterproof feature

This is a great, solid-feeling hiking shoe, with decent ankle/heel support. The arch support could be a little better in my opinion. My toes and arches hurt after a while. I'm sure I could get an insert to help with arch support, but I would hope for the quality, caliber and price of this hiking shoe, you wouldn't have to.

The fit, even in the W was fairly narrow but the length was also significantly shorter than expected. The width was probably OK but the length just made it too small. The back of the shoe comes up high enough that it would cause rubbing. Nice shoe otherwise and I really want to find a low, waterproof shoe. I really like Merrell's styles and have tried a number of them but they just do not fit my feet, I do not know why.

I normally wear a 9.5 womens in Merrell hiking shoes. The shoe runs a little short and narrow, so I sized up to the 10 wide. The width is perfect, and the length is a little long, but it works with thicker socks.

Comfortable enough but I find they r think on bottom for hiker. I can feel the tread when walking. I will hv to purchase a denser insole
