3rd pair! Love these shoes for trail running and hiking. I also recently took them to Europe and walked miles in them each day in London, Oxford, and Edinburgh.

My shoes were comfortable from day one and kept my feet safe and secure for seventeen days of walking on cobblestones up and down narrow streets in Portugal and Spain. I didnt have time to break in my shoes before the trip, but they did not ever give me trouble or hurt. I was so thankful I purchased just the right pair of walking shoes.

Worked great very comfortable and light for the 5 mile rocky trail I went on but I didnt wear hiking socks because youre feet can get hot because they are water resistant so not much ventilation so I used running socks they worked great. Only issue was when I got to the muddy part of the trail it was very slippery so they are not very good for muddy trails (not for trails in Kauai) but they are absolutely very good for regular trails they have perfect tread great comfort. I wear 81/2 but got a 9 as usual for my hiking shoes and they fit perfect. Very happy with them look forward to using them on my next hike.

On a friends recommendation I purchased my first waterproof Siren Edge a couple of years ago. Ive since gotten another pair a few months ago. I particularly like that I can walk or do dog sports in the rain and my feet stay dry! Much easier to walk in than clunky rubber boots

I really like these shows. I walk a mile every day through woods and low ground so I needed something waterproof. So far theyve kept my feet dry. Weve had several rains so theyve been put through their paces. And theyre super comfortable and true to size.

I love the shoes and they are truly waterproof. I have had Sirens in past years. There is something about the rubber on the tip of the toe, however, that makes me trip.

After wearing these for half an hour they made my feet numb. They were definitely wide and long enough so Im not sure what caused it. Customer service wouldnt do anything to help since I had worn them. They said I should go to a store for a proper fitting. Ill try to resell them as they were way too expensive to throw out. Very disappointed. Do not buy online from this brand.

I bought these to help with plantar fasciitis. I like the firm support. I am using an insole with them, but have used the insoles in other shoes, too, and my feet are definitely happier in the Merrells. They are nice enough looking to wear with my everyday casual clothes. I didnt like the athletic look of some others Ive tried.

I trialed about 5 pairs of waterproof low-hikers and these were the final "winner" BUT I ordered 4 pairs of this style. ended up with a size 10 to accommodate hiking socks and within a week of wear, the toe box was markedly larger leading to some problems that lead me to discover the sock-foot liner had a BIG wrinkle in it (hence the multi pairs) and reorderes/returns. of the 4pairs of this in 2 sizes, 2 pairs have had toe/liner wrinkles in the inner-upper portion of the shoe. CHECK BEFORE YOU WALK! I had lousy luck online with the request for warranty, 3 phone calls later, it was resolved, but i'm not looking forward to tellling this pair (#4) has a wrinkle as well. It's smaller than the others so I'll live with it.

These shoes are great. I have foot maladies and the firmness supported my feet. Day one, I wore them all day: dog walking, shopping, errands, house chores and no foot pain. Im hoping they are good in snow for my winter dog walks.

4.5 stars. I love the roomy toe box and am finding them supportive and comfortable. They do run small which is ok as I ordered a half size larger than normal. My complaint is that the wide width is not really wide. I have the encore breeze in wide and the difference is notable.

Very comfy. Wide not that much different but did help. Researched anyway and wide shoes only 1/4,inch wider in toe box supposedly in general.

I've been wearing Merrill's for years - overall I still like them but feel the quality is somewhat diminished.

I wear a Hoka 9.5 Wide shoe for everyday and running. The sizing for this said to get the same. The Wide isn’t as wide. Had to get very thin socks to feel comfortable, which isn’t ideal for hiking. As I wore them, they did stretch a little and felt better. Hiked over 14 miles with no issues..No blisters…No soreness the grip was great on muddy and wet rocks

Love them and super comfy. The first day I wore them I was basically in an office all day and the paint on the top of the toe got nicked. I was a bit sad about that happening immediately with little to no intensity in movement.

It fit great! I realize it is a trail shoe, but felt hard underneath my toes. Even with my orthotic, but may need to find out what works best from my podiatrist.
I'd also recommend:
Merrell, Brooks, Adidas

This is the second pair I have purchased. This shoe has a removable sole insert inside that I take out and put in my custom orthotics. This shoe has good support. I own several pairs of various styles of this brand of shoes.
At this point I need foot surgery for a bunion. I am hoping the wide width will fit better after that surgery. I have bought this brand of some almost exclusively since I discovered them in Nashville fifteen years ago. I have had five going on six foot surgeries since 1993. My feet are difficult to fit.

Nice looking waterproof shoe, but the size is a bit off. I usually wear 7W in Merrells, but my toes hit the tip of shoe and the side was slightly snug on my tailor bunion. Moved up to 7 1/2 W and that was better---especially for the width. Maybe a little long, but exchanged the insole for thicker one and that helped secure the fit better. Not my perfect shoe, but I liked enough to keep and hope , with wear, they work out great.

This is a cute shoe, but I find the sole has a general lack of cushion and does not seem to have arch support along the insole. I wear this mostly for errands around town, but I doubt I'd be able to wear it for hiking any distance.

Have bought quite a few Merrill hiking sneakers, including Siren Edhe 3. These are visibly narrower than any others Ive owned. It will prevent me from buying another pair on-line. Maybe trying to cut costs? Not sure why this would be. Always loved Merrill sneakers until this pair.

These look perfect for summer hikes. I took the advice to size up (ordering 10 though usually wear 9.5) and recommend others do the same. My toes were in the right spot, but the arch just didn't hit in the right spot for me, so I'm reluctantly returning.

These are the least comfortable shoes I have walked in. They are hard as cardboard. And I cant return because I wore them. Thats ridiculous because thats how you find out if the shoes are a good fit. Do not buy these unless you dont care about your feet.
Disappointed,

I have bought 2 pairs of the wide goretex anatora 2s and loved them. Fit like a glove and were comfortable right out of the box. The last pair of anatora just kicked the bucket but merrell has been out of my size in wide so I got the wide size siren thinking they would probably fit similarly to the anatora. They dont. They are a lot more narrow even tho I ordered wides and are a lot more padded, Im not sure if thats why they feel more narrow than all my other pairs of merrells and will feel better once they break in some or what. Im keeping them tho cuz I really need water proof/ resistant shoes for work and at this point merrell has a limited number of waterproof shoes to choose from. Kinda bummed cuz the pair of trail gloves I ordered at the same time feel really narrow also so Im starting to feel like they changed the whole reason their shoes fit me well and will have to explore other brands now. Pleas stop making the shoes so narrow.
