Well made good quality and look great. I didn't have to "break-in" before wearing and my feet didn't hurt and only reason 4 plus stars instead of 5 that for me they were alittle heavy but it maybe because I'm not used to these kind of "boots"

Great hiker/sneaker, performs well in the Pacific NW rain, love the color, strong laces, eyelets for the laces and the overall fit except I find the area around ankle with too much give. I worry my ankle will not always give me the support I need on a rugged trail. Even if I tighten the laces.
We'll see this Spring when I hit the Olympic mountain trails.

While I've hiked in Merrells before (typically a Siren model), this is my first venture into the "sniker" category. The older I get, the more my feet ache at the end of a long day on the trail, so I've been looking at more sneaker-like options for hiking. So far, these have proven to be more comfortable for me on trail without having to sacrifice grip or performance. I wear a size 5 in street shoes but always size up at least a half size for running/hiking, and the 5.5 in the Bravada has been a good fit. It accommodates my swelling feet, gives my toes ample wiggle room, and allows for a moderately cushioned hiking sock. No issues with my toes bumping on downhill trails so far. The Bravada has been just as grippy as my other Merrells on slightly wet and icy trails, and offered good traction on some light rock scrambling sections. I haven't been able to test them out on a super technical trail yet. They're flexible enough so that I can feel the ground, but still provided good protection over rocks/roots/etc. And another bonus is that the laces on these stay tied with no need for double-knotting. I can't speak much on durability since I haven't owned them long enough. But so far, I'm happy with these and plan to stick with this type of shoe for hiking going forward.

I absolutely love these shoes! I bought them for wearing to work, walking, hiking, and everything in between. My only complaint is that the color of the goldfish shoes is not as portrayed on the website. Online the shoes look black, with a coral sole, but it's really a bright blaze orange sole. In retrospect, it truly is a goldfish color. I ended up returning the pair, and ordered in the purple color. I don't usually wear bright color, and I wish they would make an all black version of this shoe!

This is my first "sniker " purchase. I ordered my usual Merrell 10.5. It is a generous fit on me, but at least the toe box is plenty wide and deep for my toe bunion. They are sturdy, yet flexible - comfortable to walk in out of the box. Nice durable sole, too. Considering that come winter, I will most likely need thicker hiking socks, I'm keeping this size; maybe next time I'll try a 10, but walking down hills here in the NC mountains could jam my toes in a 10. I will say this shoe does not look streamlined or feminine on me - my Merrell hiking boots are probably cuter. That is why the 4 rating. Otherwise, comfortable and serviceable hiking/walking shoe and I'll keep them

These are great looking and great feeling snikers...a terrific combination of walking, running and hiking shoes.
They run a little long and while I usually use a 7 1/2 or 8 for athletic shoes I decided to stick to a 7 1/2 but they are still a little long.

This is a good shoe for transitioning from walking trails and doing CrossFit work outs. I needed something that was sturdy to keep me balanced but also light. I bought the new black neon and it's subtle looking not over the top. This shoe is not heavy on the foot like a traditional hiking boot.

This shoe is comfortable and seemingly sturdy. Unfortunately, I had to return it for a smaller size as it was much larger than anticipated. Thus, I have not gotten to wear the shoe hiking yet.

The shoe runs narrow so I went up a size from 6.5 to 7 but the my toes are swimming in the size 7. I did take them out for a quick walk but they just felt so big length wise even though they were snug on sides.

I have worn these shoes on two hikes for a total of 11.5 miles. Both moderately rugged trails. The soles are comfortable and my feet feel supported. The colors are as expected as well. I did notice some immediate wear on the tread. I'm not sure if there is an outer coating that peels off at first, but there were definitely some small shreds coming off. Seems like a good shoe so far, I hope the tread doesn't become a bigger problem.

These are very good looking shoes, I have the Erica color. Lightweight with good traction soles. They do not have as much arch support as Merrell hiking boots, but I have orthotics, so no prooblem! Use for daily dog walking.

Merrell is my go to shoe & I have several styles. I wear a regular 8. This shoe is a bit wide. The heel support feels good & I like the color Erica - Peacock Lavender, not too bright but just right.

I love this shoe, but the top of the foot bed is a little bulky. I prefer the Siren. I have a slender foot..long but slender and I feel that this shoe is a little bit bulky. I am keeping them and wearing thick socks. I am going to order another pair of Sirens..a more slender shoe.

This shoe looks good and fits as expected, but I was disappointed with the insole; there was not enough padding to adequately cushion the ball of my foot, I could tell it would not be comfortable for long hikes. A shame, because I hoped I had found my new urban hikers.

These boots are comfy but tricky to get on, its the inside sock strap thing, it grabs onto my thick hiking socks and won't let go, my husband says he's never waited so long for me to get my boots on! The other problem. again because of the inside construction, dirt and stickers can slip down the sides easily, and I'm forever having to dig them out. The best thing is the sticky sole works well for gravelly steep trails.

These shoes are comfortable but I'm not a big fan of them. I guess I prefer a more minimal shoe. This one felt too big around my foot.

I thought I would try these as a substitute for the Merrell shoes I have used for training (4 pairs!) that are no longer available. However, they are not suitable for this purpose. I tried them for a week, but they didn't work. I will try them for a light hiking shoe, which is their stated purpose, and I have purchased training shoes elsewhere.

At first I was happy with these shoes until after wearing them for less than four months I started developing pain in my left foot and painful shin splints. I sought medical help and had X-rays and a bone density tests and found I do not have stress fractures. I tried different pairs of shoes and found the pain lessened, so maybe there is a flaw in the shoes. Merrell replaced them with a different shoe when I explained my experience. Also, I was wearing the shoes when I had two falls walking down a dirt incline with fine gravel. The second fall resulted in me breaking my arm.

I bought a 6.5 based off review recommendations and the shoes were too large and attributed the discomfort I was experienced to the size. I ordered a 6 and the shoes are stiff and I immediately experienced pain in my heel when trying them on in my home because they have inadequate cushioning.

I bought these hoping for them to be as nice as my previous Merrell hiking shoes.
They fit well and felt great! However, I wore them 2 times, and on the third time one of the lace grommets popped out, rendering that shoe useless.
Too bad I was beyond the return date.
