Fit my foot perfectly, biggest advantage is my feet don't slide forward in the shoe when going down a mountain. No more sore toes!

I bought these shoes after hiking in Nike shoes for so long (yes I know, definitely not the best choice). I love these shoes, they are fairly comfortable but I have flat feet and had to replace the insole which made these shoes amazingly comfortable. I always replace every insole in my shoes due to my flat feet but I gave them 4/5 for comfort before the insole change. With the insole change, 5/5 for comfort. They hug my ankle and give the support I need when on rocky terrain. Great hybrid. If you're worried about the insole, change it out and you'll love the shoes.

I ordered a half-size larger than I normally wear because I've come to believe I've been wearing trail shoes that are too small for me. I'm glad I did. I now see the benefit in having more toe room for trucking down hills. I wear these on rocky, uneven trails in Big Bear , CA and the awesome tread on these babies cushion my feet from all the stones and rocks on and off trail. So far seems to be helping with my sore Achilles' tendon too.

These shoes are very comfortable, and my feet are very happy. I've used them for hiking the pavement, up and down steep hills, and climbing over boulders along a river. They have wonderful grip ! And they are so cute, I get lots of compliments. You just can't go wrong with Merrill.

I wore this shoe for a day, around the house and on a walk. I plan to use for light hiking. Some Merrell shoes have incredible arch support - this was not one of them. However, very comfortable. I purchased my typical size, and they fit well with LIGHT wool hiking socks.

I just got them a couple days ago, went on my first long hike in them today. I loved them! Fit great, we're very stable and comfortable. And I really like that they look like normal sneakers so I can wear them wherever

very confortable, although a bit wide. Normally I take 7.5 but ended up with 8 for the length still a bit loose. However, the sole is soft I guess as already worn, so not really a rugged shoe unfortunately.

After initially trying them on, I found these shoes a bit difficult to put on. A loop at the back would have been a nice addition. The first day that I actually wore them, I had them on all day. I had no discomfort, no blisters and no sore feet. They are incredible! Taking them on vacation to Newfoundland for hiking and other activities.

Great so far - love the mesh but hoping it will be more durable than my last pair. I only walk on paved paths with them so not sure why my last pair didn't last a year even.

Fit is excellent on my extremely flat narrow feet, no annoying arch support to dig in. Very comfortable for 12hr work shifts.

Great ankle support. A bit tough to get on due to the foot gusset. Once it's on is very comfortable.

Well made, rugged shoes. They're very stiff around the ankles though with support that rubs against my ankle bones. I wish that the design was lower cut on the sides.

I love the look, comfort walking and traction BUTbecause I have very high arches getting them on requires a shoe horn because of the way the tongue is attached. I find that I seldom wear them because of the struggle. I thought they would loosen up but they did not. I cant imaging wearing them somewhere that required taking them off an on while away from the house.

comfortable from first time I put them on. The toe area is wide enough that there is no rubbing or pressure. I can walk for miles

As an avid backpacker I've always owned Merrill's and after my former pair of Moabs finally gave out I decided to give these a try. For people like me who prefer our ankles to be free for hiking these boots are great! They are cushy and light enough and almost feel like a trail runner (too clunky to actually run though FYI) but are heavy duty enough that my foot feels supported on long days of hiking. I have the waterproof version and so far even hiking through shallow streams and puddles my socks have stayed dry. After a couple hunter miles of hiking these are my new favorite boots. And lastly I love the colors! I have the purple pair and I wish Merrill would come out with more bright colors. My only complaint is they are ty made as well as my Moabs. I have had each pair of Moabs for well over 8-10 years and the only parts that wore out were the sole. These already had the top grommet that holds the laces in place break off. I was able to repair it at a shoe shop but I still feel for the price these should hold up better. Overall great boot! Give us more colors please.

Hi my comments about the Bravada is that it offers support all around my foot. I like how it comes up a little higher on the foot that feels secure and supportive. It also has a very firm sole. Many of the walking shoes are selling comfort softness which just does not work for me. I know the Bravada is a hiking shoe but I do a lot of walking and need the depth between my feet and the road or trail.
Im planning on wearing my shoes when I go west to Montana, Wyoming and Colorado

A little difficult to get on (I have high instep and Merrells are always difficult at first) but once on very comfortable for walking. I also have a wide foot but Merrells are always ok.

Great lightweight and easy on the arches hiker - I should have read the comments about running large. They run 1/2 size large ( thank you Merrell for making the elusive 10.5 size). Also, I am a narrow and these are wide BUT the lacing allows for tightening them. Most Merrells are not this wide for my narrow foot.

These are comfortable, but they are closer to a sneaker than to a hiking shoe. While they are more stable than the typical road running shoe, especially on the sole / bottom, with the mesh top, my foot moves around too much (i.e., not stable and supportive). This would likely be fine for someone younger, with stronger feet, but I need support, and these don't have enough. Don't get me wrong -- I find them very comfortable, but they are not the right shoe for my intended purpose of light hiking on mostly flat trails.
