This is the third shoe I ordered to get the right toe box like my old pair. I have a bunion issue and this sneaker fits great and I can walk for long periods without any pain. It does look really wide on my foot but very comfortable. I usually walk 3 - 5 miles when I go outdoors to walk. I walk mostly trails and the shoe is great. I wish there was a better assortment of colors

I've been a costumer of Altra for a few yrs now. Last year I bought solstice and I loved them. You feel so close to the ground it is amazing. I'm glad this year I was able to get my hands on a darker material since my previous ones were neon orange and got stained quite easily and it wouldn't come off (I usually can take about any stain off). I ordered the W Solstice XT bc I loved the previous one. I did not get to give them a try in a run because they were half a size too big even when I ordered my normal size 9 they felt like a 9.5 but they do feel similar when I put the shoe on maybe a bit more roomy in the toe box (then again they run a bit big). I ordered half a size smaller to try them out in a run and see. Now I know with the previous Solstice they were narrow for many individuals but for me (I have a narrow foot) they are perfect and the new solstice are the same in case anyone is wondering. Will update review once the new pair comes in.

Very comfortable shoe for working 12+ hours. I've been asked why do I wear those ugly shoes...the look of these shoes turn heads. ALTRA girl for life!

So these are great shoes and I'm really excited about receiving them. However, I do think the sizing is a bit off. I run in the torins and find those generally true to size. These are both narrow, and in my case, almost a half size too big. Personally, my feet are already narrow, so they fit me well but if you are someone without a pixie foot, they may not be as comfortable. Overall, I'd recommend the shoe, just expect the sizing to be a little odd!

Let me begin with I am a huge fan of Altras with my problematic feet. This my third pair and I will continue to purchase from them because I have found them to be extremely comfortable and I less foot pain. The Solstice XT feels a tad bigger than my previous size 9 in other styles. I love the sole and tread for the gym. I hope Altra will consider putting a light weight border or trim around the toe box so that the shoe keeps its form better. There seems to be an issue with wrinkling at the toe box. Hopefully Altra will improve this design. Do still love the company and the product they offer. I highly recommend their shoes and will continue to be a customer.

This was my third pair of Altras. I find most running shoes run narrow. I don't have a wide foot, but I prefer more room in the toe box. I found Altra after a quick google search and I'll never look back. I was in need of a cross-training shoe, but after reading the mixed reviews, I was hesitant to try these. I'm glad I decided to go ahead and get them anyway. I mainly do strength training/body weight cardio, but occasionally walk or run on the treadmill or do an elliptical workout. I find these sneakers work for everything. I'm used to more cushion, but I actually like the "zero" feel of these. I was pleasantly surprised by the side-to-side stability the cage provides, as well. My only gripe with these is the tongue. I found myself constantly having to readjust it, so I ended up re-lacing the shoes to keep the tongue from shifting. It's not 100% but it's helped a lot. I also wish these came in a more variety of colors. I like the black and it goes with everything, but I wish these came in some of the color ways other altras come in. But overall, these are a solid training shoe. I don't find these too narrow, but I again, I don't have a particularly wide foot. These have held up well and I'd definitely order more pairs if they came in brighter colors.

I was looking for a training shoe and stumbled across these on an IG profile. I made the purchase and these sneakers are so light. I do like how the heel of the shoe makes my foot feel very secure. The forefoot of the shoe is wide to let the foot breathe & not construct it. I really like these shoes and I would buy more!

This is the one shoe that I can comfortably wear for pickleball. Love it. Except....the sole does NOT hold up. Barely get three months of wear. Difficult, at the cost, to replace 3-4 times a year.

Overall the shoe is good the only issue I have is with the laces. The laces never stayed tied.

Best looking Alta shoe. I love everything about it except that the sole is rigid in the mid foot so I can't stride naturally. Toe box is roomy and the the sole is flexible in the forefoot. Not quite workable for running and long walks though.

I love the feel of these shoes, but the toes are very sock like, and they feel huge. I'm ordering the next full size down in hopes that they're a better fit. I have several other pairs of Altras, and these are the only ones that have felt so huge.

I bought these for an all-around-shoe with the intention of taking them on short jogs/runs. After ~2-3 miles (twice) my feet & toes really hurt. They are quite flat and very uncomfortable for running

The toe box is too wide for my taste.

Felt super great in the toe area, but the unnecessary extension at the heel abraded after a few hours. I gave the shoes away to Hav-a-Sole. Disappointing.

I use this shoe as a work shoe as a physical therapist. It is great for being on my feet all day and ready to show any exercises. Sad that after only 2 weeks the sole became unglue from the heel.
