Too tight where laces start, they were very uncomfortable on the top of my foot, had to return. Too bad, very nice otherwise.

Probably the best fitting Altra on my standard-to-slender foot that I've ever slipped on. Wanted to take these for a run so bad - but the top of the heel collar in front of the rear pull tab is a disaster. It was digging into my achillies merely standing in place and shifting weight. Sure did like the fit though.... Had to return. Thank you Zappos for making that part easy! BTW - I wear a 12.5 in the Superior 4 and 12.5 in the Lone Peak 4.5 fit the same length-wise, just a bit more secure.

Unfortunately the sole is coming off of the rear of the left shoe. This is rather disappointing as they barely have 120 miles on them.

Unfortunately these shoes are too narrow across the top of my feet. They squeeze just enough to make them unwearable. I went from a 10 to 10.5 to 11 and couldn’t get enough room. That’s where I gave up. If you have the right shaped feet these are clearly fantastic shoes. Wish they offered them in a wider fit.

third pair that fell apart. style and comfort are there, however these shoes start to fall apart after about one week. I’ve tried to like these shoes, I’ve had multiple pairs like i said. all of them have had the sole separate from the body of the shoe. I love the shoe but for the price they should last more then one week. last pair for me unfortunately

Absolute garbage for my first hiking shoe. First, they run small. Second, the back of the shoe goes inwards which caused my heel to bleed in about 15 minutes. And last, these are NOT comfortable. If you think these are comfortable then you need to invest in better shoes. I think they’re designed for caveman feet because my feet were sliding around, probably due to the wide toe box.

This model is definitely at least if not an entire size smaller than the LP 4, the predecessor to this model. I have the LP 4 and love them, and was hoping to get the next best thing in line of succession. However, this model was too small and they do not make a larger size than 16. I have a half an inch of room at the end of my toes in the LP 4 size 16, and there is no room at all in this model, the LP 4.5.

The shoes for very well and were comfortable out of the box. They provide excellent support for such a light show.

Best shoes I've had in a long time. I am pretty rough on shoes so I have to buy a new pair every summer season but these are the lightest and most comfortable ones for daily wear.

Love the look and materials, feel sturdy, nice tread for trail running…but not good for high arches/high volume feet. Bummer for me. These would’ve been a definite keeper if it weren’t for that one thing. Bet they’ll fit you! Lucky you.

Great trail shoe! I’ve used these in snow (with some ice). Sandy beach runs and muddy muddy PNW trails on the coast. Overall I love these shoes! The They’ve been perfect on getting me into trail running whereas the last 10+ years have exclusively been only road running. Disclaimer: On the outset when I first got these it was during winter and I had a few runs that gave me some chaffing on the heal area. That prob went away shortly after about 25 miles and it’s important to note that the chaffing issue was primarily effected by which socks I wore. So moral or the story. Don’t wear crappy socks.

size and fit perfect......bought these for my son.....he is very picky and tried every color on in this particular shoe........he loves loves loves this shoe and we are keeping this one...thank you, zappos

The fit and style are great, the standard for Altra! My only issue is the color in the photo vs actual. It’s very blue/grey in person, not so much grey/black like the picture.

Fit true to size. very roomy toe box. Great for mixed surfaces.

HUsband loves these sneakers. Uses that for trails ans road running. He says he'll never buy another sneaker!

This is my second pair of the shoe from Zappos. If they had more in my size I would stock up! Absolutely perfect for liking and trail running here in Michigan.

This is the most comfortable model from Altra I've purchased so far. Great delivery, great fit, fantastic shoes. Trying to find more of this model of my size to stock up on

Altra continues to build excellent shoes. Very happy with these zero-drop shoes.

These shoes are great. Wide toe box, flexible and lightweight. I bought one pair and immediately bought two more.

These zero drop trail running shoes are my "go to" . I run in them 6 days per week and the only thing that wear out is the upper and that's because I am a self kicker at the ankle. Honestly, I actually liked the 4.0 better, but can't find them any more so had to go to the 4.5. I tried the Xero Mesa and Terraflex and was not happy with either. They have no traction compared to the Altra. The Altra and the Xero have similar toe boxes, both being extra roomy and a toe nail saver.

Absolutely the most comfortable hiking shoes I have ever worn! I highly recommend this shoe--love them. Made for a women's foot! :-)
