So close! This is definitely a spring/summer shoe. Very surprised that the knit uppers were basically perforated. Didn't realize it at first because I ordered the black ones and tried them on with black socks. Really wanted a shoe suitable for fall temps so ended up returning these. I'm usually a 7.5-8 W and the 8w was an OK fit. If I try them again in the spring, might order the extra wide as well for comparison. For wides, I found them to be on the narrow side. But that's standard for NB. The sole felt great and worked will with custom orthotics. Also, take note of the heel cup design. Comfortable but kinda space-age looking.

The shoes are very comfortable to walk in. The only downside is that they are tight on me because I feel like they are quite narrow. My feet don't really have any breathing/wiggling room. I wear my shoes all day because of bad arches and by the end of the day the top of my feet are tired from being "squeezed" all day.

I have always worn a size 6 in NB - surprised that I have to size up in these. There was a strange yellow color on top of the white sole - very unattractive. Fortunately, they were too small. Hopefully the next size up does not have the same issue.

Wore Brooks Adrenalines for many years. I have a narrow heel, a bunion on 1 foot and have lost padding on the ball of my feet. Tried these and so far so good. The stretchiness of the material accommodates the bunion, different tying methods accommodate my heels and there seems to be enough padding that my feet are no longer hurting (or at least for long) after long walks and some jogging. My only issue is with the material on the uppers gets dirty easily and with the light color of the material, it really shows. Am going to order a pair with a dark upper for the winter months.

I had three pairs of the 1080 series previous to the 1080. This one is okay except for one thing; the heel. The heel does not hug properly and slips a bit. The person who designed this should be humiliated and then fed some food.

Great look and great support but it was too tight on the top of my foot. I just can't wear them.

The 1080v10 is dramatically different from v8 or v9 -- and remarkably better. Supportive, good looking, a seemingly wider toe box, not as stiff. A completely different shoe without comparison. That said, after about 6 weeks of reasonable wear (daily 5 mile runs) the toe has worn through. I will try another pair, but the material is light and breathable - the downside may be that it wears through very quickly.

The style of this shoe is great! Loved the black and white design. I was skeptical about the heel cup versus a more traditional padded style but it kept the shoe in place and was very comfortable. The arch support and cushioning were what I was looking for in a shoe. However, it was too narrow in toe box area compared to my New Balance 880 shoes. That is the only area that did not fit so I didn't want to chance getting it in an extra wide. Wish they would have worked!

I wear EE and these are slightly tight for EE but I believe they will break in fine. Very comfortable sneaker for walking.

I ordered this shoe in both a 7.5 and 8. 7.5s were too small overall. In regular shoes and sandals I wear. 7 or 7.5 depending on the brand. In sneakers/running/walking tennies it’s either a 7.5 or 8. I haven’t had a lot of experience with NB, now I know how their sizing runs for the future. The only reason I didn’t give a “5 star” sweep is that the heel seems a bit stiff.

I tried these at the same time as the less expensive Fresh Foam Tempo. The recommended size was perfect for me. You can feel and see the difference in price. The 1080v10 had much better support and cushioning. The Tempos also wrinkled at the top much more than the 1080v10 when pivoting slightly. However as some other reviews were complaining that the 1080v10 were uncomfortably constricting from the top of the shoe at the toe box, I felt the same sensation in the first 5 minutes of trying it on. The Tempos in the same size while having less cushioning and less solid feel did not feel uncomfortable in the same time span. I went a half size up in the 1080v10 and the constricting feeling was gone but the shoe was too long. Perhaps it's only a problem of breaking them in.

These are very comfortable and well cushioned. I bought them for plantar fasciitis and my foot doesn’t feel too bad while I’m wearing them. I’m not sure I feel much arch support though. I wish there were color options between black and crazy neons, but I like the look and shape of this shoe.

I love these sneakers but they run a bit small. If they had a full size up, I probably should’ve ordered it. Got half a size bigger and they fit but width is a bit tight.

Would have loved except no stretch at top of the arch where tongue is sewn in.

I have jogged in newbalance for years because they have offered narrow longer than other brands. Been away from the fitness for a while so I appreciated how it felt like jogging on pillows the first runs out of the gate! For a running shoe these are super comfy! I do have a very slight lift up in the heal but use the lacing technique NB uses for narrows and I have had no problems while in motion or blisters.

I wear between a 9 and 9 1/2. I tried both the 9 wide and the 9 1/2 medium. Neither did the trick. The arch didn't fit me correctly in either size. The cushion in the heel feels great. The heel fit is good with the new design. The wide toe box is always nice in the New Balance shoe. Still on the hunt for a running shoe. I have 3 other New Balance styles that I love for walking and general wear.

Just switching from Asics. Usually wear a 9.5 in regular shoes and go up 1/2 for sneakers so ordered a 10 in these. They are very comfy however I'm wondering if I should have gone up a full size in these.

I loved the past versions of this shoe, unfortunately this update was way too tight/ snug across the top of my foot. I have high arches and it didn’t matter how loose the laces were, the integrated tongue design did not work for me. It made my feet go numb.

This is a nice lightweight shoe but it has a real problem for people like me. It has a band of stitching right across the top of the foot, at the highest point of the arch that is inflexible. For someone like me (with admittedly, abnormally high arches) this band cuts right into the foot and makes the shoes painful. If you have a normal arch or flatter feet you will probably not have an issue with this shoe.

Overall, I really like these shoes! They feel responsive, light, and breathable. I gave these shoes 4 vs. 5 stars for these two reasons. First, while my foot adjusted after a few runs, the heel counter initially felt stiff and lacking sufficient cushion. Second, there is a seam on the lateral side of the shoe that irritates my ankle bone. I debated returning the shoes after developing a blister and bruise on my ankle but I think bandaids and body glide will protect my ankle while I break the shoes in.
