Customer Reviews New Balance 940v4

I wear a size 11.5 4E shoe along with a wide toe box. Although I purchased a 940v4 stability running shoe, I am not a runner but I do over pronate when walking. The shoe does provide stability and the stability was apparent the first few minutes I wore them. I'm having to adjust to the shoe as it is unlike wearing non stability shoes. So far it is not a comfortable wear, hopefully comfort will come when my feet have adjusted to the shoe.

I have been wearing the 940's for years now. It seems like many of the newer shoes from New Balance don't have as much cushioning in the heal. These also seemed like they run a little bit larger than previous versions.

I use these shoes most every day and are the most comfortable for walking I've ever owned.

I got these shoes for casual use when I am relaxing. They are a stable well made shoe. The only thing I would like is for them to be a tad lighter. I'm used to pretty light shoes.

These sneakers have a lumpy finish around the toe box, uncomfortable to wear for extended periods.

I love the shoes style and the colors. I always get size 8 in guys cuz they seem to fit me better.. but Oh no!!! They were long and fit me like if I was wearing clown shoes.... I wish they would make them in a smaller size so I could buy them again.

I am 77. I use them to walk. I have worn New Balance since i was a young guy.

It is narrow and fits pretty well. However, the tread design traps mud and other debris which I then track into the house. After I started wearing this shoe, I notice bit of dirt and debris on the floor in places where I walk or sit consistently. This has never happen before so I quickly tracked the problem down to the small pockets in this shoes tread design.

Great selection and sizes, especially for my size foot and the arch support that I require. Quick delivery too.

good looking shoes. comfortable, but right shoe is mis-sized. the right shoe is too big. very unusual, because my right foot is bigger than my left and the right shoe was a little sloppy . i hope that it was just a one shoe error and not a batch problem. I will order the shoe again, hoping that the new ones come int sized properly.

Great shoe for cardio and weight training, got the wide, since reviews said it ran a little small, seems to be a good fit.

I have long, narrow feet and have difficulty finding a good fitting training shoe. This shoe is a perfect fit for me. W

I use this shoe for power walking on the treadmill. The first time I put it on I could feel the support in my arches. They are extremely comfortable. I removed the insoles and wear my orthotics without issue. I highly recommend! I would give a full 5 stars but the left foot feels like there is a small bump on the foot bed. After 15 mins of use I no longer feel it so it must be tiny.

These sneakers are huge. I have always bought my husband new balance sneakers. Ordered these in the same size and was highly disappointed. They look like clown shoes. Need to return and get something else.

Not like the shoes of the 1990's but close to it. Everything has changed now for better or worse. ASICS is thee only brand staying true to runners and I like New Balance of old days much better.

I really need the extra width in the toe box, some new balances with sizing (unique, I believe, among major brands) is extremely helpful. Three years ago, I had bought the 860, v.7. It was superb. But when I bought the updated version (v.10, I believe), New Balance had altered the heel, such that it was higher, curved back into the foot, and therefore dug into and chafed my Achilles tendons. Not sure why they needed to "improve" an excellent product, thereby rendering it (for me, at least) unwearable. However, their customer support was excellent. Even though the shoes I bought had a few miles of wear on them, they took them back, and gave me full credit for an exchange. A knowledgeable representative told me that the 940s still had the lower heel. So I exchange for those, and, true to his representation, they are great.

I have been buying this series of running shoe for many years because they fit my fit the first time I put them on.
