I like the 940v4 so much I bought a 2nd and a 3rd pair. Now I have both color options.

I pronate from severe flat feet. These shoes actually work! They stabilize my stride and keep me from rolling my ankles in. I am very pleased. They run a little short/small. My last New Balance were size 15 so I thought I would go up to a 16 and that was a good choice for my fit needs.

The shoes are very well made. Fit well too. My husband always get the extended width and with W option available, they fit great.

Compared to other New Balance products these are an entire half size bigger than all others I've worn in my size. Heel is very low as well and the combination of the 2 caused quarter size blisters on both heels preventing me from doing any of my cardio work for two weeks. Will not order again

I bought 2 pair of these for myself, and my husband was so jealous I had to buy a pair for him, too! Great style and perfect support. I plan on purchasing more the next time I need new shoes.

I usually wear 1540's (per my doctor's recommendation), but didn't feel like I could move well in them during my workouts. These are great for my workouts (running, racquetball, biking) while still giving my arches the extra support they need.

I had a pair of 940s. My husband and I walk and no matter what shoe he tried, and what orthotic, including prescription orthotics that he wore, his ankles and feet bothered him after we walk. (we walk 4 miles several times a week). I ordered a pair of 940s for him and he LOVED them from the first day he wore them. He now had 3 pair, one for walking, one for yard work, and one just in case they stop making them. He is not using any orthotics with this shoe.

I bought these for my husband and he loves the sneaker. Very comfy to walk, he walks about 20k steps a day. The sneakers provides great support and they also allow your feet to breathe.

I initially ordered a larger size because my size was not available, and ended up keeping them for over a year. I say it is a solid shoe. A little more pricey than the other running shoes, but feel that the quality and durability make it pretty worthwhile.

I purchased the 940 in June '20 because my beloved 1260's were about worn out, and to my disappointment had been discontinued. I primarily run on roads, and require a narrow width stability shoe. This greatly reduces my choices. The 1260 had been my go to shoe for several years and fit my narrow, low volume feet perfectly. I've logged about 110 miles in the 940's. They work but I've not bonded with these like the 1260's. This will be my one and pair of 940's. I'll have to try another model like the 860 or move to a different brand. I don't like how the tongue slides to the side which causes my ankle to come in direct contact with laces. Because of the extra toe room (which I don't need), I feel like they resemble clown shoes when I wear them, although I do have long feet (size 14). I will try a lacing trick to see if the tongue will stay put. For me, this shoe isn't a winner.

I recently re-bought a pair of new balance shoes (940v4 - I previously owned 940v3) after trying several other popular brands. These are the most comfortable shoes I own. I will never by anything else. Shoes fit great and give me support all day long. I am on my feet all day and these keep my feet and legs from being worn out before the days work is done. Thanks for making a great pair of shoes!

These shoes fit a little snug at first. They have a cool design but they work for walking. May have to look into more colors.

The toe of the shoe is quite large. All of my other new balance shoes are FE in width but certainly not as wide as these are. I'll give them a go though.

They look nice and fit my husband well. I swapped out the insoles for him. Downside, he wore a hole in the toe box already. Usually, he can get 9-12 months out of a pair of New Balance sneakers before this happens, it has been about 4 months since purchase. The construction materials don't seem as durable as previous pairs of New Balance sneakers.

So this is the second pair I've ordered in the past few months, where i got the EXACT same size I always get, and the same model (just a newer version) but with these newer versions, the shoes are a good inch to an inch and a half longer than they were previously. Why is that?
For the 940s, I can at least still run and feel like I'm not going to trip over myself, but I had to throw the motion control pair I had gotten in the garbage (1540 v3). They were ENORMOUS. Like clown shoes. There was so much extra room in the shoe compared to older 1540s I had that my foot was sliding all over the place. It was legit dangerous to run in them.
I've already switched to Reebok for my Crossfit needs, and now I am considering doing the same for running, which is a shame, because I have run a dozen or so marathons and half marathons and I always SWORE by my New Balances. I'd love an explanation for these changes in fit.

The shoe fit well, and true to size. However, it did not stretch very well during the day as my feet might experience a minor amount of swelling during a long day. I really felt the padding in the shoes did not last very long given the limited wear.
