The outsole is the best outsole of any hiking boot I have seen and that includes over 10 major brands. That being said, the shoe is more narrow than I am used to. The 13 length was correct. Toe box was tight. Ankle collar was impossible to cinch tight. The tongue seems to have too much material which makes it hard to get tucked in. Once the shoe was tied, i had gaps in the heel collar which would have allowed for lots of debris. Also, the final knot after tied, would roll over the tongue as well. I tried different lace techniques to resolve this ankle collar issue but could not get it resolved, despite my love for the outsole. This shoe is too expensive to have to resort to multiple tactics to achieve comfortable fitness. So, i will be returning these.

With an orthodic insert provides good support for an injured ankle. Comfortable to wear for all activities. Second pair. Only got about 18 months with first pair before the soles were worn out. Good shoe but for the price I was expecting a longer life.

The toe box is sort of decent for a wide foot (I have a 4EE foot). So a 4EE option would make it perfect for me. Based on the current shoes available in the market, I would buy this shoe again but if somebody comes out with a 4E that works I'm going in that direction. Only because of the size of my foot.

Used for walking outdoors in all types of weather. I like the Vibram souls and Gor-Tek boots. Last longer than Biondi leather. I wish you offered more color options

First 15 mile hike was good . Following day hit another 15 mile hike about 10 miles in I started getting a blister on the inner left part of my heel. In the correct size ,wearing my Smartwool hiking socks. Needless to say they are durable and waterproof but mileage may vary .

I wear a size 14 and it is hard to find a sturdy light-weight hiking shoe. This pair meets those specs perfectly. I live in Mn and have been in Zero degree weather hiking through powder snow without issue. very comfortable and warm. Slight issue is that when the temperature gets above 35 degrees, the seams seemed to become wet and seep through. I seem to remember theses claiming to have a waterproof liner, however, even the removable sole was damp after a 3 hour hike in 1ft of snow.

My second Hoka shoe. These are the greatest. Wish the hiking boot was available in wide, but still good.

very comfortable snug fit, I can walk in the wet grass without my socks getting wet. Very pricey and the dirt sticks between the treads on the sole and leaves dirt throughout the house. how about a coupon now and then.

Lacing system is slightly awkward. Otherwise satisfied. Fairly new - we'll see how long they last.

LOVE THE SHOE AND HOW IT FEELS. EVEN TRIED TO BUY ANOTHER PAIR BUT YOUR OUT OF STOCK ON THEM. WOULD LIKE TO SEE MORE COLORS LIKE THE ONE I BOUGHT IN THE TAN/LIGHT BROWN COLORS. SOMETIMES THE COLORS HOKA OFFERS ARE TOO BRIGHT OR IN THE USUAL BLUE, BLACK OR GREY COLOR. PLUS OFFER MORE TRAIL BOOTS IN THE NEAR FUTURE.

Got these for work since I love my old style HOKA's and these seem to resemble the earlier styles. I love their older tennis?running shoes but I am not sold on their boots. They will work for sure but a little diappointed. Still serching for that perfect light weight work book.

I bought these after wearing the running shoes for almost a year and I love them. The only thing I would change is the sloped top design. All my other hiking boots are straight tops. It just took so getting used to.

The boot is very comfortable and gives great support. However the sole is coming apart. I am sad because finally found a boot that is awesome. And sole is apart.

I have severe arthritis in my right foot due to an ankle fusion in 1985. My Orthopedics recommended rocker sole boots and these fit the bill. What I really need(ed) was a substantial work boot. These are not those, but I can wear them all day and my vicodin use is down. PLEASE make a work boot!

Most comfortable, Goretex protection, super grip traction, and unmatched support. After owning these for 5 months, and had them on a few rugged mountains, and under 200 miles of hiking, these have held up well with one exception. A piece of traction tread came unglued on a local hike yesterday. With the 30 day return policy expired, I will attempt to use Gorilla glue to fix it.

I have a weak ankle and work in a busy hospital. These boots give me the ankle support I need along with the cushioning for standing long hours on hard floors. The Gore-Tex will help for any liquids I may come in contact with as well.

I bought my boots at an outdoor store and 70 days later the sole inserts started falling out. The store said I would have to deal with Hoka. I sent the boots back and had a new pair within 10 days.

Great support and very comfortable. Has help with my bad knees and allowed muscles around knees to strengthen. I recommend Hokas to everyone!

I've on been hiking small mountains so far and the boots seem fine. I'm disappointed that I couldn't get the color advertised on line. The toe box is roomy and comfortable.

Love this shoe, but it falls apart! That is a lot of money to pay for wearing a shoe for a short time. My husband has had to glue them two times already :0

I own a pair of KAHA size 14 and the very hard to find Tor ultra hi 2. I wear the KAHA hiking in the cooler and colder weather and they work great wearing spikes or snowshoes. The gortex material will eventually get too wet with the snow and your feet will get colder over the course of a day in snow. In all other conditions they are great Enter the Tor ultra hi2these she's are waterproof instead of gortex and anyone who understands the difference is that gortex is fine until water gets over the top of the boot and then they are rough to dry out I've just returned from a week hiking in Arches NP and wore the Tor ultra hi 2. I'd rate that boot 5 stars. Great traction hiking in and around " the fiery furnace" within the park. The sole gives you a lot of confidence while scrambling which is something I would think the tennis version would given the longer heel that the tennie does. The tor ultra hi2 is a great shoe for summer hiking and you would think that hoka would have these more readily available. Others see my shoes on the trail and when I tell them they only reply that hoka is "out of stock/sizes" So.I know hoka is primarily a running shoe company and they are always coming out with new version but where is the same consideration when it comes to hikers/backpackers?? I'd like to get another pair of size 14 to have on hand. It's sad when you no sooner find a pair of shoes or clothes but when you go back to get a other pair find they are no longer available. I feel the kaha is a good shoe for most conditions but the tor ultra hi2 is a great shoe when the conditions warm up
