I ordered a pair of these boots for a very difficult hike. They didn't arrive until the day before the hike and obviously I was concerned that I didn't have a chance to break them in. I must say that after 13 miles over rough terrain my feet felt better than I could have imagined. I had brought some comfortable loafers to change to after the hike but my boots were so comfortable I kept them on! I had never heard of Hoka before but I can tell you I'm their biggest fan today. Looking forward to trying some of their other products in the future.

Have several other Hoka's shoes in size 11. I want to like these but they fit I bit on the tight side.

I like the Speedgoat Mid GTX 2 shoes as they are light and comfortable; but I really need a 2 E and as with most models they need to be available in wide widths. I have had four operations on my left ankle and foot and Hoka shoes are really the only ones around that I can wear in comfort but my model selection is usually very limited (I have 7 pairs of Bondi's) because of the lack of wide widths in the models I can wear.

Fit was small and seemed narrow, next size up seems better hopefully it will get a little wider after a few wears

This is a very durable boot. It is a must though to replace the insole.

Comfortable Cush. Upper is a possible concern for hard-core hikers. But it is a "trail runner". So in that regard it does the job. Wish they had it in a 4EE width.

I am used to buying topical merril or Solomon hiking shoes that last many years. Saw these shoes on a friend, and thought they looked super cool, and i wanted something lighter and less bulky. These are super light and very comfortable, feels like a regular sneaker, not a hiking boot, which I like. With that being said, I get the feeling these aren't very durable and won't last more than 2-3 years. We'll see, I hope they do, but I see some initial wear on the first 2 hikes that is concerning. Otherwise, if you don't mind that, and you don't hike often, the lightweight and comfort is superior to other brands

I love how light this boot is. Super comfortable. The only downfall is on the rear of the boot where the sole and heel connect is starting to separate after less than a month. Granted I'm a UPS driver that walks about 8 miles a day

I bought them to go hunting in, may take longer to break in than I expected.

I love the shoes except for two things. One, the loop that you pull your shoe on with is so small I can only get my pinky into the loop. Second, there are only holes at the top for tying your shoe, whereas I prefer the speed lacing at the top of my shoes. It just makes it easier to get my shoes on and off.

This is my 3rd pair of Hokas (Speedgoat 4, Speedgoat 4 EVO, and now this mid/GORE-TEX pair...). My other two pairs each took me to the summit of 2 different Colorado 14ers without incident, and I have a similar plan for this 3rd pair. I have only done short walks/hikes in these to date (2-4 miles), but they are comfortable and light... I'm as satisfied with them as I was my others. My only observation, and reason for docking a star, is that my feet seem to sweat A LOT in this GORE-TEX lined model. I have not had this issue with other GORE-TEX shoes I've worn, but I know that some people have, so I'm not shocked that I'm experiencing it. I'm not too concerned, but time (and the mountain) will tell; hoping to avoid blisters on soaked feet. The fit seems a little snug compared my other HOKAs, likely due to the GORE-TEX bootie, but not so much that I would size up. Overall, still a satisfied HOKA customer.

So far, so good. Only had them a month or so. Very comfortable. My wife and I walk early morning in our pasture in wet grass and our feet stay completely dry.

Great for casual wear. I'm not planning to walk the PCT with them, but after 20 or 30 miles in them, no blisters or tenderness on the heel or ball of my foot. (Like my Solomons do) Only issue, right shoe was pretty tight across the metatarsals. Re-laced them a different way, and things have been peachy since.

Unfortunately you don't have a wide in my size so I had to return. Regular size 12 doesn't fit me comfortably.

I have purchased several pairs of these and they are my daily shoes for work and hiking, especially on wet or cold days. Great cushion, great grip on trails, and comfortable. I'd give them 5 stars if the toe box was wider as my outer toes are cramped. If Hoka made a toe box like Altras, it would be the perfect shoe!

This is a great shoe. Durable and comfortable right out of the box. I wish it was more breathable and had a slightly larger toe box. But still one of my favorites.

I got these shoes for work, as I am a vet tech and on my feet for 12-14 hours per day. I specifically bought them because I need red shoes for work. This color is listed as Mandarin Red/Gold Fusion - THEY ARE NOT RED AT ALL, THEY ARE ORANGE. Other than that, they are great. My back pain has lessened and my feet no longer hurt at the end of my shift. Just beware that the color is incorrectly represented on this website.

I have been using Hoka shoes for a while. I found them and have used them literally hiking the world. I used them at Machu Pichu and in Guam and Japan. I have very flat feet and they work well. The new Mountain Speedgoat miss are much more narrow than any other Hoka I have had. I hope it's just a break in period.

This purchase was my wife's idea. I really didn't think I needed a lightweight hiking shoe. I already have a pair of boots that I really like that are reasonably lightweight for the amount of hiking I do here in the Southeast. The speed goat mid were a revelation. They were light comfortable from the first try on and very supportive for a mid rise hiking shoe. I found the Vibram sole to be very grippy but also very flexible. I would highly recommend his shoes For someone who thinks he doesn't need them.
