I had this boot for less than a week and the top speed hook came out. Been wearing them without lacing them all the way up every since.

The lacing system used made it too hard to get the boot on and off. Not using lacing hooks was a major mistake. Also because of not using lacing hooks, making adjustments on the go was hard to do. I've had 3 other Hoka boots and loved them, wore them out but, they all used lacing hooks.

Not what I am used to from Hoka. These are narrow and not plush cushioning. Will be returning. Very disappointed!

There is no bigger fan of Hoka than I. I even bought Deckers stock earlier in the year. I bought some Speedgoat mid Goretex 2 last month (July). I got back from a 8.5 mile hike in Joshua Tree NP today. I have used many models of Hoka in the park, and they have been flawless. After a hike, I typically empty my shoes of the small amount of sand and small rocks that accumulate. Today, my new Speedgoat mids somehow got rocks/sand in the lining. I completely emptied the shoe in every way possible, even removing the laces and pulling out the tongue. They are still somehow loaded with sand/rocks. They sound like a baby rattle when you shake them, and the debris cannot be removed! THIS IS A DISASTROUS DESIGN FLAW AND YOU SIMPLY CANNOT PRODUCE SHOES LIKE THESE. I HAVE NEVER EVEN SLIGHTLY DISLIKED YOUR SHOES, BUT I HATE THESE SPEEDGOAT MIDS!!!

Hoka products are only made to be supportive to one type of foot. If you have high arches weak ankles wide feet or your feet tend to point or roll while walking or standing THESE ARE NOT THE SHOES FOR YOU. Returned this product and hoka wouldn't stop emailing me for a review!

Used for dog walking in light snow and slush. About 40 miles of light use and both shoes leak in the toe

Unfortunately I had to return after 2 hikes. Created quite a lot of pain on ankles & knees, and also bruising on the ball of my feet.

I’m a big fan of the HOKA brand and have owned over 20 pairs of the shoes. I loved the HOKA Speed Goat Mid 1s and I wore them everywhere...these Mid 2’s are horrible.
1. Run small: I have worn a size 14 in the Hoka brand going back to 2015. In the past, a size 14 gave me ample room for my foot to expand with activity, however, these Mid 2s in a size 14 were very tight (narrow) and small (length) on my foot just standing in them...14 is the largest size that HOKA makes.
2. Stiff: The previous Mid 1s were soft and comfortable and even after having surgery on both of my feet I was able to walk. This is not the case with the Mid 2s...they were stiff and rigid just while trying them on - - they actually hurt my feet.
I don’t know why HOKA ruined a very good thing that they had going with the Mid 1s because these Mid 2s are terrible...I couldn’t be more disappointed with these shoes. It is hard enough to find size 14 shoes that don’t hurt my feet after having foot surgery. So now it’s more hunting to find a pair of shoes and maybe an entirely different brand that works for me.
