Awesome sneakers, arguably the most comfortable and lightest shoes I've ever had. I definitely played a lot of park basketball in them(not ideal because thin material by the toes) My is question is waterproof/water resistant how? My feet were soaked in San Juan

I like the shoe overall, but the tongue is not padded like overs I've had. At this price they should be.

Read other reviews, and you will find that you cannot get a hold of a Hoka Specialist in order to ensure you are ordering the correct shoe for your body type/stride. The shoe was comfortable, but wore out very quickly (4 runs) on one side due to underpronation. When calling Hoka initially, and then to reorder and get help, we found it impossible to talk to anyone or receive assistance. Went over to Brooks.

The shoes are extremely comfortable except when the traction pad under the ball of the foot makes contact with solid ground - it pushes too much into my foot. Still comfortable enough to wear. And it will break in with time.

These come a bit narrow so if you have wider feet you might consider something else. My feet run hot in these shoes so because they are water resistant, my socks sometimes get damp. When damp you can get blisters which is what happened to me. I found if I wrapped my little toe with tape it solved the blister issue. I have had other Hokas that were not water resistant and have not had this issue with breathability.

I'm on my feet all day on concrete, in wet areas, they keep my feet dry and comfortable , this is my second pair of Hoka's and will be purchasing more in the future, the downside of this pair is the toung is thin and rubs my ankle raw, could use more padding in this area, but other than that, I like these shoes.

I love the speedgoat models. I bought a SG4 Goretex and it ran a little tight in the toe box area. I gave it a chance to get broken in but it's still snug. Probably one half size bigger should fit better.

Been digging the GTX Speed Goat for a few years now, very happy that I didn't have to think to order my pillows on feet bliss, just pick the color and select size 13. But now I have to wear 12.5's, and they don't fit as perfectly anymore. Super bummer but still amazing shoes, just be aware recently Hoka has changed sizing so make sure to try them on so you don't think you're losing your mind like I did.

Within the first week, a piece of trim came off near the front of the shoe. Manufacturing issues? Did develop right knee pain after wearing regularly for several weeks. Alternated wearing with my tennis sneakers. The pain resolved and now wear regularly. Walking thru puddles and across streams the waterproofing is impeccable. Have not experienced excessive foot sweating in hot weather.

Lots of cushioning in the forefoot, but little in the heel, which makes these great for running, but not so much for just every day use. Leaves you feeling off-kilter when standing still. Love the grippy, aggressive tread. The upper is stiff and takes some breaking in, but that's expected from a GoreTex shoe. They feel great while running trails.

A must have for wet and wintery weather; runs and feels just like the non-GoreTex Speedgoat I've been using for years. Perfect for Wasatch range year round, PNW wet weather on trails; steep, slick slopes in Nepal. I've put on about 100 miles so far on the GTX, here's my take: Pros: Lightweight but sturdy. Solid lug system on the soles digs in on wet, muddy, slushy, packed snow, and fresh snow covered terrain. With micro spikes, you will be invincible. Neutral drop, cushion, and feel is exactly like regular Speedgoat 4. Comfortable after 8 hours on my feet. Waterproofing is solid but you have to understand it only protects the bottom 2/3 of the shoe, so you probably don't want to jump in streams or deep puddles. To test, I slowly waded across a stream up to the visible waterproofing for over 20 minutes. Completely dry. Cons: the dreaded tongue! Please bring back the old tongue from the Speedgoat 3. HOKA changed the tongue on the 4 to save weight. It is too flimsy with no padding or structure so it slides around and, in several cases, digs into your foot. The laces are supposed to brace the tongue to hold it but I have not had any success with that. Still not a show-stopper for me but you must be aware of this change.

Great cush. Great grip. A little tight in the toebox. Got some blistering under the pinky toe on first long run (never had a blister there before)

These shoes are wonderful for regular trail running and pact trails. However, the rubbery traction can be very slippery against technical and loose rocks. The rubber also starts to get torn up by rocks after a while.

Great trail shoes, feels true to size. digging the rocker. Grippy. Wear tall socks, thicker the better. The gortex tongue will cut you after a few miles if you dont. Maybe that will change after break in. Good stuff overall.

This model Hoka shoe is missing the normal Hoka comfort profile. I think that it is because of the Gore-Tex bootie construction. The forefoot is stiff and lacks soft flexibility. I was hoping to wear this specifically for Golf. The sole has a nubby profile which ensures slip resistant stability. I was hoping to have the soft, comfort heel that I normally have with all of my Hoka shoes with the added benefit of Gore-Tex water proofness and the nubby sole for stability.

We already did feedback once but haven't heard a response. We ordered two pairs of the exact same shoe- same style, size, and color. One fits beautifully and one is super tight. We think we received the wrong size. I cannot find my email confirmation. I would like to return/exchange the tight pair.
