I bought them to visit NH. For the wet slippery weather. They were great, light weight and good traction.

I use these for trail walking all season especially the winter. I've had them in snow and mud. Kept me dry, warm and good traction. They're very comfortable and a bit more rugged than typical Hoka running shoes. I love them. My wife also got the women's Speedgoat. We're mid 60's and we love them.

Great comfort even though this wasn't the model I first looked for.

I have idiopathic neuropathy and finding shoes that are comfortable is very difficult. Although my running are days over, I bought the new waterproof gore tex speed goat specifically to play golf in this winter. I've found the HOKA trail running shoes are perfect for golf - they have great tread that prevents slipping, they're well balanced and very comfortable. I've also have a pair of Challenger ATR 5 for golf but they are not water proof. Also have a couple pair of Bondi's that I use for walking and in the gym.

I wear these to work, right now we are on 12 hour shifts because of peak season. I put on over 10 miles of walking daily, up and down stairs. These are very comfortable and breathable for my feet, and I was surprised to find out they come with Ortholite foot beds already. I have low arches and usally have to buy aftermarket foot beds, I don't with these! I like the lacing system, I wish it came in a BOA version as well (wink, wink, hint, hint) I had so many people ask me what shoes I am wearing, in the time I've been working I've never had people ask me that. they're stylish and very comfortable. I enjoyed them so much I bought the MEN'S SPEEDGOAT MID GORE-TEX 2 as well to add to the line up of switching out shoes. I swap from another brand and I am very happy I did.

I mainly use these for work, where I am running, jumping, standing and walking 10-12 hours a day. I can safely say that they are extremely comfortable and the new soles will last much longer than previous Hokas. Just a heads up, these shoes are waterproof which means the "mesh" parts are merely cosmetic. Your feet will sweat

No shoe is perfect for everyone but for me this is as close as it gets. I've read complaints about the less padded tongue compared to earlier models. I find the new thinner tongue gives more control over your lacing. I've also read that the shoe is stiff. It tends that way but I like that in a trail shoe and, for me, it feels fine on the roads as well. It handles northeast winter weather like a champ. The new sole design is fantastic. The Bondy 6 saved my aching feet and shins. This shoe is not as padded but in some ways works even better for me. It doesn't hurt that the grey/black version is exceptionally good looking.

I've had several pair of HokaOneOne shoes and they are always comfortable out of the box. This pair is a new style to me, but they didn't disappoint me at all. Again, comfortable out of the box.

Water resistant, good traction, foot sleeve like shoes, tight on the instep, and a little narrow. Was hoping it would be wider.

I wanted a Gore-tex shoe and had a great experience recently with my first pair of Hoka's for running (Bondi 8). I was hesitant to purchase due to the price, but have had bad quality experiences with my normal Gore-tex shoe (Merrill) and thought I'd try these.
My first impression was the shoe looked differently than I expected, and not in a good way. Somehow I missed the yellow trim in the pictures, and the tongue is a thin piece of material that I worried would make the shoe laces (which also have yellow) feel uncomfortable if tied to tightly (they're OK).
Putting the shoe on, it felt stiff and very tight, even with the laces relaxed. I was worried it would rub/cause blisters (I tend to get blisters behind/above my heel quite easily with boots), but once the shoe was on it felt fine, and I was pleasantly surprised at how good the soul/cushioning was - similar to my running shoes and unexpected in a waterproof shoe. They do feel a bit narrow in the toe-box for me, but maybe they'll feel better after breaking them in more.
The grip is incredible - it's almost as if there's suction cups on the bottom of the shoes. I haven't warn them in a wet environment yet, so I can't comment on the waterproofness (one of the main reasons I bought them).
I'll be wearing these at an amusement park for a week soon. I may update this post depending on the outcome. For now, I'm still a bit undecided.

Love the comfort, grip and protection -- more like a 4.5 out of 5. Would be a perfect 5 if more durable -- I've owned many Speedgoats and they tend to last me 4-5 months with daily use (hour hike per day on average). After 4-5 months, can feel rocks more and tread worn down considerably. I tried the Alpaca and durability moderately better but not as comfortable or light as Speedgoat.

Still breaking these in so can't give them a 5 star yet.
A little hard to get on but comfortable once accomplished.
The most noticeable feature is the outstanding grip! Have not gone off road yet but outstanding on pavement.

Tongue is a little stiff so unusual fit where it flexes above the laces. Otherwise good fit and comfortable.

At first these were extremely painful rubbing a hot spot into my Achilles area. I stuck with it though and now they no longer do that. They feel a little constricting to me feet, compared to, e.g. the Clifton 8's.
Overall though, I'm glad to have them as it rains constantly all winter where I live.

Very comfortable for rugged trail running. Good grip in snow and the gore tex liner keeps feet nice and dry. Only downside is that the top of the tongue will rub your skin raw if you have really short socks on (like balega running socks.) A longer sock is needed.

I love Hoka shoes. I've ordered my true size each time and have enjoyed perfect comfort. On these Speedgoats, going up 1/2 a size would've been better. Even after breaking them in, I still find the fit tight on the outer toe, regardless of sock thickness.

Overall I love the shoes. This is my second pair of Hoka's. Their was a break in period which surprised me. I almost sent them back because they hurt my feet at first. After about three days they broke in and I have been wearing them since with no problems.

I walk 3-4 miles four to five days a week. I wasn't sure on my first walk about the comfort but after the third day I notice the difference. They had a tight fit at the beginning but after they were broken-in a little I began to notice the comfort.
