This shoe lasted me a really long time. I put on about 20,000 steps a day! I just purchased these to replace my speedgoat 3's I've been wearing for over a year.

I wear the Speedgoat 4 for both trail and road running. Very stable and cushioned. I highly recommend. Consider sizing up 1/2 inch. I often wear size 10 but 10.5 is perfect for this shoe.

I use my Hoka OneOne trail runners as hiking shoes and have hiked the John Muir Trail in them. I had the Hoka OneOne ATR5; however, the tread did not hold up on rough trail and terrain. It was also slippery on wet surfaces. The Speedgoat Vibram sole solved all these problems. I hike a lot on granite trails and the Speedgoat sticks like glue even when the granite is wet. One of the best shoes I have owned for traction. I have confidence with each step placement and don't worry about my foot slipping. Comfort is spot on too. I have a wide flat foot so I ordered the Speedgoat in wide width. My Speedgoat shoes provide miles of comfort plus an added bonus is they look cool too!!! Fashion and Function...a great combination!!!

What a relief on my feet. For the first time, I am managing plantar fascitis, which I believe was caused by the sneakers I used trail jogging. I set out to find a way to undo the damage that was done. I've tried a combination of treatments (compression sock, cold treatments, etc.), but my Hoka One One's have been the most effective treatment. I started with the Speedgoat 3, but realized I needed the wide shoes and got the SG 4 wide. I now have a Speedgoat 4 for trails, Bondi leather wide for work, and a Gaviata wide jogging and walking. I'm hiping they come out the Speedgoat mid gortex in a wide. They s are lightweight, great grip, and good protection for your feet.

They run smaller/narrower/1/2 size down than Clifton 6. I exchanged for wide and and now it’s all good. They feel like pretty good hiking shoes too - good traction, pretty solid outside shell, but quite light and comfortable.
The area under laces could be thicker.

I've worn the Stinson ATR for a few years, but recently decided to try out the Speedgoat for a change. I've only got about 50 miles on them so far, but I'm into them. They're lighter and grippier than the Stinsons, and I only notice a small tradeoff in support. The real question for me is how they'll hold up over time/distance. With the Stinson, the soles have always worn down long before the uppers get sloppy, but the upper material on the Speedgoat is so much thinner and lighter that I'm curious to see how they're holding up at 500 miles. So far, I'm loving them!

I "ruck" regularly (5 to 10 mile walks with 35 to 45 lbs in a backpack). The great construction and cushioning of this shoe have eliminated aching feet at the end of mutli-hour walks with heavy load. The "wide" width was very helpful for my big old feet. :-)

My daughter recently introduced these shoes to me and couldn't say enough about how wonderful these are. She's on her feet constantly working in the health industry and dealing with feet problems. She has gone through several types and brands of shoes in search of comfort that she doesn't have to think twice about. I purchased these for her hubby which works on his feet all day as well. Although pricey... you won't be disappointed when you feel the comfort.

Great trail running shoes. I also use these for hiking. Did tons of miles in Yosemite in these, and they were perfect. Flying by all of the tourists.

Love these shoes as far as comfort goes, I've worn a pair as everyday on concrete and trail as well as for light hikers. The traction is amazing as well as comfort and cushion overall. They seem to be wide in the toe box too which i like. currently wearing with blue superfeet and it's a magic combo for an all around shoe. If you haven't worn Hoka before this is definitely a maximum cushioned pair but you get use to real fast.

These are probably the cushiest, most grippy sneakers I have encountered. I switched from Altra Superiors for a little more padding on long miles. I have been very pleased with the transition. Super recommend them for trail runs and hiking. Going to get a second pair in another color!

True to size and the toe box is wide as they claim. Nice design and colors are exceptional.

I work in boiler a/c room of hospital. not a cushy environment. hot , lots of walking , climbing ladders, wet, these are the most comfortable shoes ever. live in the northeast so not good for winter , but. was little worried about how well they would last, not an issue. still have good support and comfortable after 6 months of everyday use. size 10.5 wide

I purchased the Speedgoat 4 for trail running. I ordered them in the wide just like the Bondi 6. I love my Bondi 6, but needed a little more support going over an uneven and rocky surfaces. So far I really like them. I tried the Challenger ATR 5 too, but didn't like it as much. Those two shoes were my only option for wide shoes in trail running. The Challenger ATR 5 was lighter, which was nice, but I personally like more support for longer runs.
