The shoes have a built-in tongue, so they are difficult to put on - I need a shoe horn every time.

The tongue is attached to the shoe making it more like a water shoe, hard to put on. It was very light and padded which was good. Prefer conventional tongue on the shoe.

This shoe is obnoxiously tight. The base is perfect. Fit true to size length and width wise but the fabric that wraps around your foot is insanely tight. I have never had this issue with any other brand. It was like the shoe was designed to cut off circulation or something. I am so disappointed as I was very excited to get this shoe.

The shoe is ok but when I put it on its squeezed the top of my foot and started it to hurt. I'm gonna try some different ones and see if it helps

Very comfortable shoes but the fabric makes it very hard to keep clean. It collects a lot of dirt and then some. Would recommend wearing them in the gym only.

Certainly soft and cushiony when running, but when I added my insert I felt like I lost some stability. Also, I ordered the white and the outer fabric seems to attract and pick up tons of dirt. Doesn't take much for them to look extremely weathered.

But my first pair & I love the sneakers from a comfort level but unfortunately the right sole always moves so have to give it 2 stars vs 4 starts.

Shoes are too rigid and cause problems during my workouts. The sizing chart was helpful and that's was the reason for 2 stars because they fit great but are not what I expected after all the good things I've heard about the brand and the shoes. They are okay for everyday use while just walking but as far as gym shoes or even goin in short runs I do not think I will be getting another pair would suggest shopping and trying in person every one has offer to feet and I'm sure there are some who could benefit from these shoes but they are not for me

I was very disappointed in the shoe. I have owned a previous pair that are the most comfortable I have ever found. With shoe not true. The toe was so had and uncomfortable that I could hardly bare to wear it.

First, I am an exclusive devotee of your products! Ronnie my dog every day required me to invest in proper running shoes. My brother turned me onto your product and have been enjoying our runs where I didn't before. I purchased these lightens during a Black Friday online sale thanking I'd give something new a shot having purchased the same cavu's I have purchased over and over again. Unfortunately the toe seems tighter and I hadn't realized how much the forgiving nature of the tongue is great for my fat foot. I'm continuing to wear them to try to like them better but I think I am fooling myself....But Thank you for all your other amazing products!

once you struggle to get your foot into the shoe, it is light and the design of the platform is responsive and comfortable. wish there was a model that opened up like a traditional shoe, being able to splay it wide, get the foot in and tighten it......sadly, the constricted entrance makes putting it on a task. plus, I purchased an all white shoe and after one day of wear the shoes are very marked up with my day to day activities.....due to the design I doubt another pair are in my future, unless you offer a model that can be splayed open, and then traditionally secured.

Cool color. Good feel in mid-foot to heal. Toe box more and narrow than previous Cavu. Wish I would have ordered a 1/2 size up or gotten wider fit.

There is no outsole, full stop. They are basically soft midsoles on the ground. I wore out the soles in less than 6 months of moderate use. 25 miles in a week does not seem too much to ask.
These are super comfortable for casual wear. But for the price, I'd expect them to last a lot longer.

I feel like i received defective shoes due to the shoe squeaking loudly every step that I'd take. I wore it for over 2 weeks and message CS, they had no sympathy and just told me to return them! Seems like this is an ongoing complaint! I've worn cheaper shoes that feel better and don't squeak! i expected this brand to be great but it not! Don't buy expensive shoes like this! brand sucks! and no attempt from their team to make things better

This nothing great about the CAVU 3. The tongue is sowed into the top of the shoe which makes it next to impossible to get on and off! IT the worst shoe I have ever purchased from Hoka. And I have purchased many shoes from Hoka.

I find the CAVU, well, the older model I had, were the most comfortable shoes for my daily 3 mile walks. I wore the old ones out, and went to replace them, but this model was different, it had no tongue in the shoe, which I personally do not like.

As far are the sole of the shoe goes it feels great, however the shape and fit of the upper was incredibly awkward and uncomfortable. I would say this definitely runs on the small side of the sizes.

I did read other reviews before purchasing, I should have heeded the warning.
The opening is so narrow, it's really hard just to put on. After 6 minutes wrangling my foot to get them in the shoe, I gave up. They went right back into the box to be returned. Just really bad design

He hated how the tongue of the shoe was attached and not separate . We returned them over 10 days ago. Still waiting for our refund on our credit card

I have the older Cavus and love them. The Cavu3 is one of the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever worn.not wide enough and very stiff.a really strange fit. I wanted to love them but did not and sent them back. On a positive note, the return process was very easy!

The stretch arch strap doesn't allow my foot in the shoe. I would have returned them but disposed of the box before I tried them in.
So I have to cut the arch band to allow my shoe inside, I am totally disappointed in the shoe and company.
