I love the fact they are very very light, and the cushion is great. However I believe they are too narrow, which is a surprise has bought several Hoka and never needed to go wide; also the top of the shoes / laces, feel pretty tight, difficult to adjust , should be easier.

These are comfortable and I was wary of getting a light colored shoe so I was disappointed when the blue highlight strip bled into the shoe the first time they got wet

Come on Hoka. Bring back the Rincon 1. The Rincon 2s are complete trash. That is why I tried Mach. The work ok but don't last. I'm burning through the sole.

Ok, it's a good shoe but I didn't realize it was a slip on. My fault! To me it seems a little feminine. I did not send it back because I did wear them.

My husband and I both ordered the CAVU3. We both returned since the fit was too snug,
The support was great but the tightness was uncomfortable. Hated to return.
Love HOKAS

My son has a pair of 11.5 which is why I ordered these in an 11.5. They run small and are being returned for a refund. You go not have the shoe in the color that I ordered in a size 12.

Love HOKA's support and footbed. I have a narrow (AA) , these fit too tight.
That has never happened to me before.

Was very excited to get my first pair as I had heard a lot of good reports. Shoes are very comfortable but difficult to put on as the tongue is sewn in. I'll probably buy another pair that doesn't have the tongue sewn in. Overall, happy with the comfort.

The tongue is attached all the way to the ankle so its real hard to get the show on or off. The laces are essentially useless because the rest of the show is so tight. The Cavu 1 was a great shoe and these changes are not for the better. I would dread slipping them on my feet if I kept them so they are going back.

I really wanted to love these latest editions from Hoka (I've been running for years in their Hupana's and can't find them anymore) but they're just too narrow. I've tried loosening the laces, but then the toe cage is loose. I've tried tightening just the base laces, but again the outer edge of my foot gets sore and starts with "pins & needles" by about mile 3. I've finally resorted to trimming the outer edge of the insert to relieve the pressure and this has been acceptable.

Tremendous heel support just as all my Hoka purchases. But this one really demanded a Wide version, as my feet are just a little snug for the regular.

Too difficult to get on. The one piece tung was not shown. I have been wearing Hoka for years, and this shue has turned me off for buying on line. I will only buy from stores.

Loved the looks, but unlike my other two pairs of Hokas, your size was WAY OFF. I could stick my toes into the entry of the shoes and that was it.

I like the comfort of running in the CAVU but like others, am not a big fan of the "no tongue". Makes them a little harder to put on and take off

I'm not a runner but I walk 20-25 miles a week. About 2 years ago I switched to Hoka after trying on several different brands at a local running shop. First the good news. They are probably the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. Now the bad news. They simply don't last. The original Cavu wasn't too bad, but the Cavu2 (I went through 2 pairs in about 7 months) were a disaster. A walker should get more than 3-4 months from a pair of shoes. After three pairs of Hokas, I've switched to another brand. I'm guessing a hard-core runner will sacrifice durability for comfort, but I'm not that guy.

I was a bit disappointed with the Cavu 3 model. In fact, I returned the 2 pairs that I purchased. I currently have the Cavu 2 and I wear a size 7.5 in Men's. These shoes fit me perfectly. I ordered the same size in the Cavu 3 but they are too small. I also didn't care for the fact that the Cavu 3 now has an elastic/stretchy tongue and the shoe laces are laced through the tongue all the way up and down. I wish Hoka would go back to the traditional tongue on their shoes!

I have OVER 15 pair of Hokas. Wear NOTHING BUT HOKAS.
Ordered this because wanted less height in cushion to use as golf shoes;
however, upon arrival I found out this is the FIRST pair of Hokas I've
ever seen that the tongue is not moveable. It's what I call elastic, makes
one use a shoe horn to get it on each day. I AIN'T USING A SHOE HORN.
I will NOT wear anything but Hokas but hate the way that elastic works.
SORRY,
DD

This is the second pair of Cavu's for me. I do not run in them as they are very minimalistic...I wear around the house now that I am working from home. The shoe looks great, very light but the major design change of eliminating the tongue makes the shoe tighter on my foot and therefore eliminates any wiggle room on size for people buying online. The tongue will allow for some people to dial in the laces to get the proper fit and feel. With the absence of a tongue, the shoe will either fit or not which could lead to return shipments before you get the right fit. Not a deal breaker for me but a significant difference from the last generation.
