I've always worn Asics - Nimbus shoes but thought I would give these a try.
I loved the shoes but was disappointed that the tongue on the shoes rubbed my ankle when walking around the house to try them out.
Wish the tongue was in a softer material and/or shorter. I would have kept them...
The overall support and cushioning was amazing!

This is my 4th pair of Speedgoats, and after reading some of the reviews, I was a little hesitant. Wore them yesterday, out of the box and onto the trails...wow, they might be the best generation of Speedgoats yet! Stable, yet responsive and comfortable - no rubbing from the non-cloth upper or through the toe box. The toebox is narrower, as with all the previous generations, but they are a great fit for me and my bunion.

Overall I like it, for a Hoka they aren’t too bulky and that is fine, I like the speedgoat2 best for comfort

Love my Hokas. I wish the other running shoes had the Vibram soles - those last so long! These shoes are super grippy, perfect for that loose gravel run. The 4 stars on style was because the upper has plastic-looking material, seems sort of cheap.

I just received my new SpeedGoat 4's this week......this is the 2nd pair of SpeedGoats that
I have purchased....had been wearing the Challenger for the past 3-5yrs.
My only negative comment about the new/revised SpeedGoat is the tongue, cuts right into my ankle due to the lack of material used. Got back from my run after the 2nd time of wearing them and was bleeding, so have decided to try to cut back the material a bit to help
issue, as I love the shoe, and am not willing to just send them back due to this issue.
Hoping this helps you to revise the next round of shoes:-).

I wear these like 5 days a week. These were not the best of quality they started coming apart right after I got them & their are holes in the top where my big toe is. Not very happy with these shoes.

I returned my pair to a Fleet Feet. I got my feet measured there and I bought a different brand. My daughter has a pair that she loves.

Decent trail shoe, but I was hoping it'd be great! It just isn't for me and sadly I missed my window to return them due to a couple weeks of travel. I love my Hoka Clifton road shoes, but these just weren't as comfortable, especially for long runs. I will have to use a different shoe for longer runs. Maybe I'll use them for walks....

When I put the Hoka's on my ball area of my feet laterally and medially were squeezed. I have narrow feet so this surprised me. Also the back heel tab was jabbing my ankles. After 3 hours I had to return because my toes were numb.

I like the sole of this shoe better than the Clifton but the Tote box is smaller so my stubby toes are not as happy. The heel size is fine. I wear these for short runs but anything over 2 hours starts to hurt.

I wear a 9, but these were too tight. My big toe was pushed all the way to the front. The tongue was not cushioned.

Surprised to find this style ran small on me. The footbed just didn''t feel right either, after wearing Cliftons for so long.

The idea was great however the hard rubber tongue which is fixed on either side and is sharp at the top rubbed a sore on my Foot right at the bend between foot and leg. I had to send them back and will not be reordering them. This is a terrible design flaw double design flaw Foot right at the bend between foot and leg. I really want to like these but they are too long and my feet feel like they’re swimming in them. I have huge feet and shoes are never too big. I’m gonna try half a size down and see if the width still works for me.

The side of inside seam that attached the tongue to the front of the shoe is neither flat nor smooth. That ‘lump’ dug into my foot when I walked and knife-.like jabbed into my foot when I squatted. (The length was good, the shoe looked good.) I had a former version of SpeedGoat that I loved. Frustrating! For reference, 9.5 sized feet have a toe/foot area is wide-ish (but I don’t take a wide sized shoe) and boxy shaped (a la bear paws.) Returned.

Love the cushion, stability, traction. But after about 6 miles the balls of my feet and toes began to hurt and I couldn't wait to get them off. Some friends have recommended the wide, so will give them a try, but not too hopeful.

I've ordered Hoka shoes before. The Soeedgoat 4 has always been the most comfortable. This most recent purchase is disappointing. The I feel like I'm over pronating and my right ankle hurts when I run. I'll try another pair; perhaps the pair I received was not manufactured correctly.

I tried these shoes because my son recommended them. He also has plantar fascitis and said they are the best he has tried. Plus, I have been wanting more colorful shoes. I love the fit and comfort of the New Balance styles that fit my foot, which are the more expensive styles and also seem to be available in only a few, very conservative colors.
I ordered a New Balance style and this shoe. When I tried this one on, I liked the look and it felt pretty good. But when I put on the New Balance, I knew there was no real choice. The New Balance felt SO much better, better support, better fit for my narrow heels and need for wider, and deeper toe box.
So I would say that this shoe is properly sized and good for many people, but just not for me. I returned this shoe, although I was disappointed in having to return this colorful, attractive shoe.

This shoe was for going up and down slopes and through brush hunting mongoose with my dog. It's sturdy enough but was uncomfortable within 30 minutes.

However, the ones I got recently the tongue and the light cushion is already separating and I haven't had these that long. I am a long Speed Goat purchaser. I am disappointed this time.

I love fit, cushioning, my back didn't hurt, but the sole wore out in less than 6 months. Though they should last longer.

Ran on beach and had excellent traction. One annoying thing about shoe is the tongue length. It rubs and so I have to wear longer socks then normal. It still rubs but less. I'll probably go back to my cascadia for trail running and use these for beach and sand running.
