I clean houses and I have to be going up in down stairs all the time and I don't feel pain anymore in the arch of the foot

This is my third pair of Hokas and definitely my favorites. They have great cushioning and the soles are perfect for walking or running on dirt or grass. I saw that another reviewer complained about the plastic tongue but I haven't experienced any problems with it. Compared to my other Hokas, the toe box is a bit less roomy but still works for my regular-width feet and are better cushioned.

Hoka, thank you a zillion times for this shoe, and the Challenger ATR!! I've gone thru about every other brand of running/workout shoes for years. When I began having foot troubles 2 years ago (arthritis/plantar/metatarsal), I still thought Brooks was the best for me. But I was constantly trying to get the right arch insert, etc, to make them feel better. Even the most expensive one, the Glycerin, just didn't last in comfort and wasn't enough of anything to keep providing cushion & support. My husband finally convinced me to try Hokas, since he likes them so much. But, not every style worked -- until I tried this Speedgoat and the Challenger. I have to get wide widths, so it's great that the selection isn't too huge to pick from. I got to looking at trail shoes, feeling that they probably have more good stuff to them for stability, comfort, etc. We do take walks & runs on dirt roads a lot, but also pavement. As soon as I tried on the Speedgoat I knew my feet were happy! I did try my usual 7.5 in a running shoe, but they were HUGE! So, I got the size 7 and they're perfect!! What an excellent combination of cushyness and stability and grip! Man, you feel like you can grab onto anything in these! And, actually, I'm pretty sure you can - I tried going up a very steep grade above our house (dirt/rocks) and there was no slipping, even going back down! As you wear them, they seem to conform to your foot shape and feel better and better. Now I don't feel like ripping off my running shoes and throwing them at the wall when I get home! I actually don't want to take them off!

They are a little bulky however I welcome the support. Testing them in a short run tomorrow.

I use this shoe for long day hikes and multi-day mountain hikes w/lightweight packs (15-18 lb). The trails I frequent are challenging but rarely super technical and have mixed conditions including rocks, scree, and steep grades. I have not taken them off-trail yet. The shoes are comfortable, lightweight, stable, and very grippy on hills and rocks. I still use trekking poles in some areas, depending on conditions. They have helped me speed up on steep sections, going both up and downhill. A great shoe!

I use my shoes for walks in the neighborhood, hiking and strength training. I've tried other Hoka hikers and they just have not worked well for my foot. You have to find the right shoe for your particular foot needs. The great thing about ordering from Hoka is that you can try them and if they don't work well for you, send them back within, I think 30 days? Please double check on that return policy as I'm not sure!

Have run with these only on extremely rocky, loose terrain so far and absolutely love them!! No slippage on up or downhills and can't feel the rocks through the sole like my previous trail shoes. Another happy Hoka customer

I do wish Hoka made a narrow size, but the Speedgoats run a little narrow so it works for me. Feels like pillows on my feet.

I haven't used these on trails yet, but have used them in wet snow and some ice and they provide nice traction. They run true to size with my other Hokas, but as compared to other running shoes, they run about half a size larger. I love the bright colors and they have a nice amount of cushion.

I just bought these for myself because I want to hike with my kids but my knee keeps hurting. I figured out it was because of lateral motion so went shoe shopping for something more stable. After one day in these shoes I feel amazing. None of my joints hurt and my feet feel like they are healing. I'd recommend these to everyone. I was wearing Asics for pronating before. I'll never go back.

I climb on roofs for a living and needed a durable, comfortable shoe that also looks nice. HOKA speed goat delivered! I love how secure I feel on the roof in these shoes. I can hike, run or just go out to coffee.

I use these for trail running. They are everything I've been waiting for in a trail shoe. Absolute perfection! I like to size down half size in these, so the little bit of extra toe room is just what I needed! They are so light, fast, flexible, secure, technical and the cushion is excellent. I can run in these all day long. I hope these stick around for years to come.

Fit on these hokas is perfect, they are light and my feet feel like flying in them. Im not sure why Hoka is producing the speedgoats in non-breathable synthetic material. They get hot in the summer and hold in odors

I ended up keeping these but I'm not crazy about the very soft, thick, bouncy sole.

Hoka is still my favorite tennis shoe on the market however I recently tried the speedgoat 4 and was disappointed by the cushioning compared to the Bondi 7-with that being said I am sure there is plenty of people that don't want the extra cushioning and this would be a fine fit for them. I will definitely be buying another pair and I could have returned them but I chose to keep them.

I'm on my feet on concrete all day. These are wonderful for comfort. Not at all slip-resistant on wet epoxied concrete which isn't great, but I purchased knowing the risks. The seam from the sole to the toe is starting to pull away. I've worn these every day for about three weeks, so that is concerning. I do spend a lot of time in moderately wet environments with a variety of chemicals, so there's that (I run a dog boarding business). So, while I'm happy with the comfort and fit, I'm disappointed that these will probably not last longer than the Skechers I usually buy.

This is my second pair of Speedgoats. The earlier version provided more support to keep the foot from moving laterally on uneven terrain. While the newer shoes are just as comfortable I only gave 4 stars because of the missing support.
