I was told by other reviewers to order a half size larger than I normally would which worked out just fine

Researched at length to find a boot the would grip the trail, support, and provided stability based on what my wife had voiced as missing in her hiking shoes. She is 65 years old and walking 5 to 5 1/2 miles daily in our neighborhood. Here shoes are fine for this. She also hikes very challenging trails with her hiking buddy. She needed something light weight that featured everything mentioned above. The Speedboat, although a combo running/hiking boot meets the criteria. The test is in the actual use and she has hiked a number steep, rocky, lose gravel, and wet steep trails. She raves about these boots. I made a good choice and as the old saying goes, "Happy wife, happy life."

Love the Hoka trail runners. They offer a lot of support while running over uneven ground. Theses shoes are comfortable and light. My favorite shoe to run in.

Read reviews stating that these shoes run narrow. I have extremely narrow feet and seems like almost no sports shoes come in narrow. These are awesome! Love my hikes much better now.

These shoes block the wind and keep my feet dry on my winter walks.

I have many issues with my feet. Plantar faciitis, bone spurs and Morton's neuroma all on one foot. I love hiking but was beginning to think I would have to stop due to the pain. The very first time of wearing these shoes I knew my hiking days weren't over. I had absolutely zero pain and made it 10 miles with 600 ft elevation. I LOVE MY HOKA SHOES!!

These shoes are very comfortable! Similar fit to the Rincon and the Clifton. I sized up because I will be wearing a thicker sock with them for winter running and hiking. I look forward to wearing these more as the weather gets colder.

I purchased this shoe for a backpacking trip for yosemite and they were amazingly comfortable for all the miles we did. The material held up well the cushioning helped keep me going. I normally purchase Hoka for trail running but the hiking shoes were perfect. Definitely a great purchase

I purchased these for light hiking. Support comfy. They are snug putting on but I didn't have any trouble using the finger pull. I have a narrow foot and they fit great with nice ankle support.

These shoes are perfect for trail running and even hiking. With the shoe coming over the ankle you don't risk twisting your ankle. They are extremely cushioned and comfortable. Totally worth the money.

I've been an avid backpacker for the past 20 years. And I've become accustomed to dealing with blisters on most of my outdoor adventures. I've had top-of-line hiking boots and still dealt with painful blisters and cumbersome first aid stops along the trail. After adopting Hoka running shoes five years ago, I decided to give the Speedgoat a try. Wow! My only complaint is that I didn't buy a pair of Hoka hiking boots years ago. I just finished a 13mile, 5,000ft elevation backpack and not even a hot spot! Thank you Hoka!! I'll never buy another boot brand again.

I know these are trail runners, but I use them for hiking. They are the most comfortable hikers I've ever owned. The cushioning is unbelievable and my feet never get fatigued like when I wear vibrant soles shoes.

Absolutely amazing shoe for hiking, running, and clinging to the sides of building. The grip underfoot is super strong for those of us who live in rocky and humid terrain, the rocker positions the foot and knee perfectly, plus it's light, flexible and fun to dash around in. The shoe is snug, but it's meant to be that way, think of it as an "athletic fit" for shoes. All that is wonderful, except I had a problem with where the tongue met the outside of the right shoe, there is a large bump of material that hits directly on my right toe. This is clearly a manufacturing issue since the left shoe does not have the bump and this foot is very happy. Meanwhile the right small toe had the skin worn off after about 3 weeks of wearing. I returned through my "authorized retailer" and reordered through the same retailer. I'm willing to wait since the shoe is that good. This is my 12th pair of Hokas and definitely my favorite for trail running and light, speedy hiking.

I have not had a chance to hike in the shoe yet, but I have worn it to work several days. It is very comfortable. I can stand all day and feel comfortable. The shoes are a little flashy, but I like them.

The GTX high tops are my 5th pair of Hoka's and first pair of high tops. I purchased them primarily for winter walking/hiking. I gave a 4 star rating for 2 reasons. They are a challenge to put on and can be extremely warm if worn on days with warmer temperatures. Once I have them on and wearing on colder days they are exactly what I was looking for, which is warmth, comfortable to wear and water resistant. They held up very well in a steady rainstorm.

I love hokas. So still 4 stars! Because I've never hated hokas. I wear them for work, working out, and hiking. These shoes I wanted them to fit so bad! But they were so narrow. And when I sized up they were way to big. They looked amazing but I was so sad!

The sneaks/high tops are great and support my arthritic ankles. They are difficult to get on and I have to realize that I need patience to loosen the laces. Minor problems. Once on they are super smooth and supportive

They fit well...its not them, its me. Fit well, very comfortable, love my Speedgoats. I'm not big of things around my ankles so ended up going with the GTX version for hiking.

I ordered these for winter and assumed I would wear thick socks. My normal size is 8.5. I ordered a 9 in these and they are too large; too wide in the front. I STILL KEPT THEM because I hate returning items. I tightened the laces at the low end and that helped but they are still too long even with heavy socks. I have 2 other pairs of HOKA shoes, one is 8.5 and one is a 9. They both fit quite well. I will keep trying to find how to make these shoes fit better.
