I bought a half size too small. I will wear these. Super comfortable even too big!

I have a high arch, narrow feet, bunions, and love to backpack. This is the fifth hiking boot I have tried, and with the help of custom orthotics, have found them the most comfortable so far. My only complaint is how ugly they are. My 17 year old daughter and her friends find them stylish, but at 58, not so much. I wish the company would have made a pair with black soles, instead of hot orange. Hoka does make turquoise, but my daughter chose that color, and I didn't want to have to search the size in the shoe (yuck!) to tell hers from mine.

I have a couple of foot problems and have used the Hoka running shoes for pretty much everything so it was a no-brainer that when I got back into backpacking, hiking, snowshoeing, etc that this boot was available. It is lightweight, comfortable, and definitely waterproof. The tread is perfect for Wyoming ice and snow- absolutely no slipping or sliding.

Great hiking boot straight out of the box! Very grippy on rough and wet terrain ( went hiking out west). Nursing a stress fracture and they were awesome!!

I got these shoes to run the trails where I live. There are a lot of big slippery sandstones on the hills. I screwed Icespikes on the bottom and now they go anywhere. We recently had ice/snow conditions for 2 weeks and they were great. This time of year I wear Gortex gaiters over them because there are several creeks to go through. The shoes keep my feet dry. I think when it dries up outside the ankle height will keep rocks out also. The shoes are comfortable and cushiony and on more moderate trails the tread would be just fine.

I wear these on my winter walks! And we all know that not everyone cleans their sidewalks, so having great tread and water proofing is extremely helpful.

Super comfortable, light and sturdy. I saw a comment about being too narrow which I did not find even though I have a wide foot. Good room for toes! My only complaint is that the back part on the ankle slopes downwards so I did get some pebbles stuck in the heel of the shoe. Easy to resolve with gaiters.

I bought these for a trip to Colorado for hiking in the snow and they did not disappoint! I looked at the reviews before buying and I will have to agree they're kind of a pain to take them on and off, but if you loosen the laces enough, they're not too bad taking on & off. I fell down into multiple post holes in the snow and these kept my foot nice and dry! Plus in general my foot stayed warm and dry throughout the hikes. They also didn't have a break in period which was nice before they never rubbed or bothered me on the hikes. I'd definitely recommend these if you're wanting a light weight, weatherproof hiking boot!

I walk and hike all the time. This make of shoe is wonderful for any kind of outdoor activity. I love how lightweight these shoes are, as well as built in arch and overall comfort.

I never leave reviews but these are awesome. I was looking for something that wasn't a hiking boot to keep up my urban 3 mile very brisk walks in the ice, snow and slush and these do a great job. Totally water proof, amazing grip and all that luscious cushiony hoka joy to keep my meniscus-lacking knees happy even on the coldest days. Deep drifts of snow, ponds of slush, invisible slicks of ice - no problem. Highly recommend!!

These are the most comfortable hiking shoes I’ve ever worn. They needed no adjustment period! I have flat feet and plantar fasciitis abs these have been heavenly! I got them so that I could keep up with my walks during the winter weather. They are like walking on clouds and keep my feet warm. I haven’t worn them in much snow or ice so I can’t speak for grip factor but so far they are amazing. I also wear Hokas for running and training. Wonderful shoes! Most likely going to purchase another pair so That I can have when these are worn out. Also the colors are adorable and look great with whatever I am wearing. True to size. I wear a 7 in almost every Hoka. (I wear an 8 in Nike)

I suffer from knee pain and the vibram soles are amazing, I don't even renege my knees have issues to I put street shoes on again. Been out in the snow, up a mountain 5 miles. Amazing. Never going back.

These shoes were such a happy surprise! I had been looking for something that would work with my early morning outings with my dog. I needed something that would stand up to running on pavement, running on dirt trails, climbing on rocks, slogging through mud, gripping in snow and staying warm and waterproof throughout. These do it ALL. They are cushy without feeling sloppy and there is great ankle support, more so than a regular sneaker. I am a solid 7.5 and that is what I ordered; there is still room to wear a relatively thick sock, though. They felt broken in after two times out and, even though the design is a bit... “busy” for my usual black and grey style I have kinda fallen in love with their quirkiness and get compliments and questions all the time. Highly, highly recommend these shoes and will probably get a warm weather version in a few months!

Love love love these for winter walking/hiking/running.*Incredible traction (I hardly ever need my spikes). *Super warm (in Maine). *Great cushioning and comfort. They are a little roomier/more volume-y than my Speed Goats but I run less in these so its not a problem. Please keep these in the line!

This is my second pair of Hokas. I have the carbon X for road running, however, now I use these for road running instead. I got these in my normal size and found them perfectly true to size. I took them right out of the box and across the country to Oregon. I did some really intense hikes everyday. Anywhere from 12-20 miles each day. These shoes performed better than my wildest dreams. No blisters, so bouncy and comfy, waterproof and a solid grip sole. I've continued to use them 3-4 times a week here in upstate NY. Once a week I do about 8000 stairs in snow, rain or mud then trail run in them. These shoes are a beast and will go with you anywhere. Couldn't be happier with this shoe.

Purchased the Hoka Speedgoat mid for a trip to Deer Valley, Utah, in December. Wanted a waterproof hiker that would let me feel sure footed on snow and ice. These did the job perfectly. They fit my high arches even with my arch support inserts. My feet barely felt the cold while walking in the snow. The plastic of the shoe feels cheap but it did it’s job of keeping my feet dry, warm and the soles allowed me to never feel in danger of slipping! I do have a narrow heel, high arch and wider forefoot and theses shoes worked good for me.
