Great shoe. The Wave Inspire 17 falls flat compared to the 16. I am a toe runner not a heel striker. My feet do not like the 17. The extra cushioning is nice but the responsiveness of the shoe to the road is poor compared to the 16, since my feet struggle against the re-conformed wave plate to get up on my toes. Not sure what model I will turn to after the 16's are gone.

.I am 67 years old. I run, hike, and walk dogs at the local animal shelter in these shoes. The shoes provide great ankle support. I purchase several pair of wave inspire shoes each year.

I was fitted at Elite Feet in my town when I started running on a regular basis. The Mizuno Wave Inspire worked best for me. Since then, I have bought the same shoe every time I needed new ones. I am always thrilled with every pair. They support my feet well. My feet don't hurt at the end of the day when I wear them to work. I would recommend this shoe for running, training or even every day use.

I always wear 1/2 size larger when wearing Mizuno. If you know this, then you'll never have a size problem. This shoe fits for those of us that pronate.

My daughter usually wears a size 9 in the wave inspire 16. I had ordered these shoes online from another website in a size 9 and they were too small. So, I ordered sizes 9.5 and 10 from Zappos. The 9.5 fit perfectly and the size 10 were too big. So, I'm returning the size 10. Bottomline:
ORDER 1/2 SIZE LARGER for the right fit.

I usually wear a 7 medium, but Zappos automatically upped the size, probably based on past reviews to 7.5. I went with it, and glad I did. From past purchases of this brand I can tell there is a slight difference in fit, but still a good shoe, and glad I bought them.

These are very smart-looking shoes and fit well, although a little wider than expected. I have been a long-time wearer of Asics and now swear by Mizuno, much more reliable as providing consistent support and fit without any substantial design changes that throw a wrench in being able to order them online.
