I would like to see Brooks keep the 18 and still have the 20 or discontinue the Addition 14, and replace it with the Beast 18. As a 60 plus years old short stocky male the Beast 18 just feels more sturdy overall. I have been using the Beast for running, weightlifting and walking for the last 15 years. Approximately 7-10 years ago Brooks switched to a less sturdy shoe for about a year or two and then returned to the more sturdy version.

Love them, just one thing they tear on the outside by the toes. If they didn't tear there they would be amazing all around.

Look great, and feel wonderful on the bottoms of my feet. However, the outside is a little hard for my taste, hurts my big toe a little bit when walking more vigorously.

Much lighter than the beast 18 and very comfortable but felt the a bit narrower than previous model I ordered a 2e width and it’s been always been perfect but this time I think I need a 4e width size otherwise seems good can’t seem much difference from the transcend

Let me start with I have Diabetes and neuropathy. I normally wear New Balance 1540 11 1/2 4EE which have always been comfortable and worked well for me. On the advice of friend with similar foot problems he told to try the Brooks Beast that he really liked them. So I decided to give them a try. They seem like they will work well but.... I dont find them to be as wide as the new balance in the front half of the shoe. Yes i bought the widest they had. I will keep these till I wear them out, but will be going back to the New balance 1540 unless they make the beast as wide as the New Balance.

Same great support and comfort I've come to expect from this model. Nice neutral colors. I would, however, prefer to not have the model name written on the outside side edge of the sole. This seems like something a young person might prefer. I'm not young and I suspect many Beast owners are middle-aged or older.

Unlike my other Brooks Beast, the New 20 are quite wider than all I've had from Beast 14 (which I still wear around the house) to the (3) pr of Beast 16 and (2) pr of Beast 18. I'm exchanging my (2) New pr of Beast 20 4E for 2E.

Love the shoes, in fact I?d like to buy a second pair but the color options are terrible.

Beast 20 is a good shoe. I?ve had multiple pairs of The previous version of Beast. This version is noticeably lighter, but unfortunately has sacrificed motion control and support. Still a good shoe, but I don?t think runners purchasing this shoe are too interested in saving a few ounces over motion control

Recommend by Dr. Really helped husband's leg pain. Very comfortable and they come in wide sizes, which he needed. Ordered last pair online - CS great. Only negative - Expensive. Diana Dauter

Preferred previous models with reinforcement in the toe area. Using just thin fabric does not provide the support Brooks is known for.

I like the fit and feel of the shoe. They have been a favorite of mine for years. I would give them 5 stars if the design wasn't so bland.

Good Stability, keeps me from rolling my ankles, which helps manage the pain in my left knee with arthritis in it.

There is not the same amount of cushion in this shoe as the beast 18 and it seems a bit narrow

I like these better than the previous design. These feel as if they have more stability and support. They even feel like they have a slight cushion. They?re not as supportive and comfortable as Beast in the past but they are still my go to shoe for now.

The style is ugly but the support is excellent. They look like the shoes you would buy in an Amvets magazine all they need is a Velcro strap. But I am 72 with a large build and I walk. I had to stop jogging at 53 after 33 years. I should have purchased size 13.5 but it was not offered.

While I find the overall support of the shoe great, I'm not really a fan of the mesh material on the top front of the shoe, it feels flimsy. Not quite as "Beast-y" as older versions.
