Laces are too short to allow them to be double knotted

Great shoes, heavy but the best support

I bought this shoe because my primary doctor, who is herself a long-distance runner, recommended them. And so far I couldn't be happier. I was starting to develop plantar fasciitis, and within a couple of days, my symptoms all but disappeared. Thanks for making such a great product.

I have worn Brooks since 1978, and have always worn The Beast, great shoe, can't say enough about it. Can one buy the cushion support insoles separately?

Felt great the minute I put it on. Runs true to size(10). Changed from the new Addition, in the earlier 12 and below they seemed small and I went to 10 1/2, the 14 was true to size and too large and soft. Love the Beast. I hope it has durability built into the new price.

4x width are hard to find. Especially when you are a overpronator. Thanks Brooks!

I like Beast. Period. Way more than my Adrenalins. The support in them has helped me in my posture and has been better for my back than for my knees. I've been wearing beast for over 15 years and I have always appreciated the way the shoe has evolved in these many years, not only in looks but also in the features but most importantly it became an environmentally responsible shoe. However, in this rut of evolving the features of the shoe, unfortunately the company compromised on the quality of the material used. My last shoe was Beast 18 which wore off in 5 months of normal walking. I was travelling to Dubai and while running for the metro, the mesh ripped and my foot came through the front! How embarrassing was that! Given that I only wear the beast, it was a herculean task to find a shoe store that carried brooks in Dubai. There was none! Well, luckily someone guided me to a discount shoe store and I found a previous generation of the beast, beast 14. Boy! Was I happy!! Again, unfortunately the insole of that shoe has a big hole and the sides of the mesh is getting ripped. I am so so disappointed. So, I am sorry to say, dear beast we had a good run but unfortunately our love has run its course. :(

This shoe has a stitched ridge that runs over the top of the instep. I returned them. I needed a wider toe box.

Sad to say, but the Beast as we used to know it is dead. 2020 has made a habit out of tearing apart the old and ushering in the new but unfortunately, the new is not always better. Initially one can't help but be impressed with the look and weight of the new Beast but for the real runners out there who have relied on the stability and extra support the old beast provided, this is not your shoe. I was recommended the old Beast and it allowed me to run without being in pain, something I was unable to do before. After running with the new Beast I have knee pain, back pain, and shin splints, which were never an issue. While I am in no way saying that the new beast won't be favorites among many wearers, it simply is a broken promise to those who truly relied on what the previous editions offered.

Comfortable and supportive. I like the understated design. Wish the laces were easier to adjust. I've been wearing Beasts for 15+ years.

Great shoes!!! Have two pairs!!

I absolutely love the Beast. I have been wearing the Beast for the last 6 yrs. They keep my knees feeling better. I do not run but do a lot of beachbody workouts and these work great. I wish there were more colors to choose from.

Needed to replace a pair GTS Adrenaline's that took a real Covid beating in 6 months. (see photos) Called and decided to try stepping up to the BEAST but it turned out to have too much support and cushioning for a person with naturally flat and wide feet. It caused pain on the top of the ankle and along the inside arch area of one foot. I went online and ordered a pair Adrenaline GTS 20s and its almost like heaven. Love Brooks shoes but will have to return the BEAST.

I have plantar fasciitis. I feel less pain on my heel and felt less tired than before. I wear the shoe for walking and standing.

Shoe hurts my toes, this is my second pair ,first did not hurt ,same size Not happy.

Most excellent shoe. Supreme padding. Lasts longer than other shoes doing 5 days a week running. I love the extra support, saved my ankle being twisted more than once.

Best running shoe for a big man with flat feet!
