I have all kinds of foot issues but for some reason, booties (bootlets) hold my foot well. These Merrell's are very comfortable walking shoes and I adore the way they look with jeans or for a funky look with dress or skirt. For some reason, I thought that these were light hikers and trust me, stick to sidewalk or garden walkways in these beauties.The soles may grip a puddle but I fell three times on forest paths twice for slippage and once to a hidden root. Lesson to be learned, hiking is not walking, get appropriate foot wear.

I wear a 9 or 9.5, and in these boots the 9 is very roomy, almost too roomy but I'd prefer that so I can wear a thicker sock if I want. They are kind of plain, but the buckle adds a little style, and more importantly, they are comfortable and the removable insole allows me to use my own insole. The older I get, the more comfort trumps style! (I'm 61) I have somewhat narrow feet and these are sort of wide, but that's ok. When worn with regular (non skinny) pants, they are kind of boring looking, like a plain black shoe, but with skinny jeans they are nice. I know I'll wear them often. I liked them so much I ordered another pair in the sand color. Haven't decided if I'll keep them. They are darker and less cute in person than the Zappos photo. Check them on other websites for a more accurate photo.

I ordered two pair. Black and brown espresso . I have much older pair of Merrell low boots. The black ones felt very stiff out of the box , but after wearing around house the leather must have stretched a little so they feel great. I also ordered the brown espresso pair and the brown ones felt great out of the box. It could be those were tried on before. They also were made in another country. Looking forward to years of comfortable wear in these. My old Merrell had zipper issues from the beginning , but I kept. These have no issues with zippers so far.

Nice fit and look but my jeans cuffs rode up on the top of the ankle boots, sadly will return.

The shoes fit well, as expected, and were comfortable. The materials were a great quality. I am always pleased with my Merrell shoes because of their consistent fit for my feet.

I love these boots. Right out of the box, I wore all day on my feet. They are comfortable and stylish.

They feel pretty comfortable. I haven't worn them out yet but they are a little more "boot"-like than then pair I was replacing. But if they work in the rain in the PNW I'll be happy.

These are fantastic boots for walking, shopping or whatever when the weather is wet and sloppy or snowy. Love mine, wore them all last season, and will this year too. Now I've ordered the taller, fur-lined version for those really cold walks!

I loved everything about this boot (in the darker brown). Unfortunately, I had to return it because, although I ordered my usual Merrell size, it was too big in length and width. I did not reorder because even a half size down seems it would be too wide and long for my foot.

Wore these all day right out of the box. LOVE them!

Love these boots.

These are attractive waterproof shoes that fit a little tighter than my usual size 8 bootie. The sole does not provide enough traction in the rain and I find I am slipping on metal plates in the sidewalk and smooth pavement. I walk 3 plus miles each morning and these are not my go to for that activity now, but will be fine for shorter distances.

Just what I wanted for lots of walking while traveling. The 9 was a bit snug but the 9 1/2 is perfect!

These booties are really cute, but they just weren't right for me. I actually loved them, but I broke my little toe last summer, and the boot reminded me of that break with each step. I might have kept them to wait and see if they felt better after my toe completely heals, but thought I should return them and try again.

I LOVE these boots, I wore them all last winter and they are in great shape. Just ordered another color <3 Thank you Merrell for making 10.5!!!
