A little tight the first time, but I love these boots. They allow my feet comfort during 10 hours of standing!

This book was beautiful in looks, but I found it to be too tight at the ankle and then way too large at the top. Sadly I had to return it, but it might work well for someone with larger calves.

Not waterproof but I love my boots! ??

This boot is soft, supple and comfortable right out of the box. This is a classic, simple, but elegant style. I have slim calves and it fit just right. I’m wondering if some other customers may have been sent the wide calf version by mistake? One of my boots has a glue smear on the toe as well . I’m going to order another pair and hope it doesn’t have the same issue.

I loved the buttery leather, simple style, and comfortable fit of these boots. However, the calf opening was quite wide. I feel that my calves are actually pretty thick, so I was surprised that these boots gaped so much at the top. They looked more like Wellies/rain boots than I am looking for.

Arrived today. Great classic style. Like a previous reviewer, mine came with a spot on the toe. It seems to be glue — like a little dipped on the boot during assembly. It’s not THAT noticeable, but.... I’ll keep eyeballing it to see how much it bothers me.

I love Born shoes, and these boots were the perfect height and calf width. The only problem was that the zipper curled inward right above my ankle and dug into my leg. After a few hours of wearing this was very painful. I ended up donating them.

Loved the sleek style but the ankle area was too tight for comfort.

LOved the foot-bed of this boot; however, the boot was too wide for my for small calf’s. Bummer!!!!

I liked them until I walked in the snow...leaky boots??? My toes were freezing and wet...I guess they’re more for looks than function, but seriously?! At least they were on sale...

Arrived scratched; returned. Otherwise fit true to size. I felt like the leather around ankle was very loose/bunch when walking, and I did not like how it looked.

Boots are very attractive but the calf area is too wide

I liked the look of these boots- sleek lines and a nice rich brown color. However, the soles are this weird clear rubber which looks cheap and made the boots squeak loudly when I walked. There is also a weird arch lump... it felt like an actual lump, not actual arch support... which I think would have been very uncomfortable if the boots were worn for a period of time.

This shoe is a very different color. It's in between a grey and a brown. I called to ask if it was brown because it looks more brownish on the pictures, the woman said it was closer to brown. I just don't care for this color at all. Also, the top of the boot is quite wide around my calf, which I don't usually have any issues with other boots. I'm sure it's good quality, it's just not what I was looking for or hoping it would be.

I have worn Borne boots for a very long time and they are my favorite! So when it was time to replace my old ones I thought this was going to be very close. Unfortunately the calf was loose and it was loose around the ankle. My old boot fit like a glove. I feel like it was more of a boxy fit.

The shaft hung a bit weirdly on me.

I purchased the gray of the Born North and I love them! Unfortunately, I did not get the same feeling from the Black pair. Did not have the same impact, kinda boring and something was off on the left foot.

This boot is not 14 1/2 inch around. I wanted a slim shaft and on me this is not. I am keeping them anyway, good price & can wear with jeans.

I felt like the left shoe had been worn previously as there are scratches that look like they have been buffed out.

I love the style of these boots, but I was really disappointed with the color. I ordered the gray leather, but they are really just a shade of dark brown or very brownish taupe. I loved the idea of having a true gray leather (not suede boot) to add some variety to my typical brown or black boots that I wear all fall and winter. Unfortunately these are not a true gray, and I'm not going to try the gray suede since that material typically doesn't hold up in the wintry weather conditions where I live. If you are looking for a true gray leather, I would not recommend these.

The boot is so comfortable. Kind of snug in the foot portion but you can tell they will stretch to your foot. These boots are seriously very comfortable and also warm because of the nice lining. I am returning however, because the shaft is waaaay to wide. They are so wide that they just don’t look right- they start to get weird bends in the shaft because there is so much space. The shaft fits more like a rain boot. The wide shaft compared to the snug foot- they just don’t match each other. I am not a small person with super skinny legs. I wear a 9.5 shoe, I’m 5’6” and 145lbs. I’m super bummed- been looking for the perfect black boot for years, but these have to go back. If they were $50 or less maybe I’d make an exception but not at $130. ?

Fit was fine and the suede was nice quality. But overall the boot is casual and I was looking for something a little more dressy.

I really wanted these to work, as the leather is so soft, and the soles have the perfect grip to avoid slips on any surface. However, I have narrow calves and these were super wide with major gaps all around.

I purchased these boots with the hopes of replacing an old pair of Born boots that I absolutely loved, they were also a gray color. The quality of the leather is nothing like the old ones but I have not been able to find them anywhere even though I know the name and style number. I think they just don’t make them anymore. The leather looks a little too plastic for me and even though I have wide calves the calf is too wide as well. I think other reviewers mentioned that. I probably needed a half size smaller then my usual 7. They feel like they would be very comfortable though.

Nice boot but the calf was too large -- to much of a gap between pants and boot.
