Such a gorgeous boot! Love it. I have a slightly wider calf from a blood clot but it's too small for extended wide boots. These work perfectly as they have a bit of extra give at the top. And they are absolutely beautiful! Such supple leather! Glad I got them!

I normally wear 7.5 in dress shoes and 8 in boots. Purchased size 8 and they fit well with tights or socks. Stretched to fit my 15.75" calves. Comfortable and classic.

I really like these. The footbed is spongy and feels like they'd be comfortable to walk in. The toe is a nice stylish shape. The calf width may be a bit wide as other reviewers say, but I think that's the way boots are and it doesn't look odd to me - it just makes them easier to walk in. The leather is a bit stiff around the heel and toe, but I assume will break in nicely with wear. The color is kind of a neutral dark brown, not exactly gray as other reviewers say, but I like it.

These are super cute and my new fall staple. The calf fits well, I find a lot of tall boots are too loose there. I had been looking for a pair of boots since my beloved Merrells finally fell apart after ten years. Hoping for an equally long life span for these. Highly recommend!

Beautiful leather, soft liner. The shaft is just too short for me. I read the specs but took a chance anyway. I'M 5'10", 145lbs. Also, on me, the shaft flares out slightly at the top. I have average sized calves. Unfortunately, I am returning.

I have warn the same pair of black leather Born boots for the last 15 years. Needless to say they needed replacing. These fit all my needs and look great!

Perfect boot for leggings and skinny jeans..

I have been searching all fall/winter for a classic flat tall boot and these are perfect! I have a wider calf but the wide calf version of these were far too wide for me. I decided to give the standard calf a try and they are a little snug but still fit. I’ve worn these a few times and they required no break-in period. I liked these so much that I ordered a 2nd pair in a different color.

Love this boot. I don't know what I was more excited about, the fit the comfort the color or the fact that it fits my muscular calves. My calves measure 14.5" a the thickest point. They zipped up beautifully and I could wear a legging underneath. I don't think jeans would work but leggings are good. I ordered in black but did not like as much.

Loved these boots!

These are beautiful boots, with a comfortable feel, like other tall born boots I've had. I wanted a not too tall boot (on my petite frame too tall boots look ridiculous), simple riding boot look in brown. I must have tried 15 pairs of boots starting in the fall. None of them were right! These look great, are comfortable and in good proportion for me. I'm so happy I found the, and at a pretty good price too!

I really love Born, and these boots are near perfect. They feel true to size. The leather is soft and kinda matte, not glossy. The plaid fabric lining is velvety purple and raspberry. And the low heel is a perfect height for my needs - more than an inch and my knees get achy after too much walking (and I do 5-10 miles of walking each day). The only problem for me is that in the last couple years I've started running, so my calves have shrunk by an inch in circumference (making them 14.5 inches each). So, the boot's 15.5 inch circumference just looks sloppy on my 5'1" frame. I do have to return these, and I'm confident I'll find something else by Born that is more flattering for my legs/height - maybe a mid-calf or bootie.

Love this boot! Perfect with dresses, skirts and leggings. Love Born boots and the quality of the leather. Would definitely purchase again.

These are my new favorite boots! I have high arches and am fighting off the beginning symptoms of plantar fasciitis and still wore these boots comfortably for 4 hours the very first time. Usually I add insoles to all of my shoes, but didn't even need to with these. The only complaint I have is that the calf part is a little wide. Sometimes born shoes aren't as comfortable for me, so I wasn't sure when I bought them. But these are amazing! I will be trying Born brand more often now. For reference, Brooks, Dansko and Ecco are my go-to brands which usually fit me well. Also, the leather on these boots is very soft and yet doesn't scratch up easily. They can be dressed up or down.

Fits nicely, no rubbing on the heels or toes, zipper is sturdy, and lining is warm, thinner material that doesn't make the shaft bulky. Could use better arch support and a more cushioned insole, but overall, these boots are fantastic.

I wear an 8 shoe, and normally purchase boots a 1/2 size larger, but I had to return them and go up to a 9 in these. The 9 fits perfectly, giving room for my bunyon and I'm able to wear socks without any bunching or crowding. These boots are very comfortable and I love the grey color.

I love these boots, exactly what I was looking for, plain and without buckles. I think they run true to size. I ordered both the 8.5 (suggested size by Zappos) and the 9 an kept the 9. The 8.5 was a little snug. A have a pair of Born ankle boots that are 8.5 and Born flats that are 9. I wear 9.5 in Clark’s heels if that helps you make a sizing decision:)

Leather feels lux, styling and construction high quality. However I tried these in 7.5 (too small) and 8 (too large) and so I do not get to own this shoe!

The medium ( not wide) calf was SO WIDE that I could have fit both legs in!

Beautiful soft leather, very comfortable but they run about half a size smaller. If you want to wear thick socks go up half a size.

Just what I was hoping for!

So happy that I could wear size 7 out of the box with complete comfort. I am on my feet, and walking most of the day as an elementary school Principal from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. I chose this boot to complement two skirts I wear in the winter months and the grey color was just right.

The boots look quite nice and the size is consistent with my other Born boots. I haven't worn them yet other than trying for size, but they felt as comfortable slipping them on as my other pair.
