Size 11, fit perfectly

As other reviewers have mentioned, these boots are not really gray. But they’re not really brown either. I personally loved the color. It seems to go well with any shade of clothing. I didn’t keep them because the leather doesn’t look very high quality (and at the price point probably isn’t) but that wasn’t the main reason I sent them back. They are awkwardly large at the knee. Just looked bad!

Not grey! Listed as grey, but the color is decidedly brown. Nice boot, but listed as the wrong color. Returning.

Beautiful boot, just a bit too wide in the calf area for this girl.

I love the look of these boots; however, compared to my other Born boots (same size), they are noticeably narrow in the toe box. There is some definite pinching, especially if I spend any time walking/on my feet. It's a bummer, because it's taken me almost 3 years to finally find a pair of tall boots in the right color and shaft circumference. I'm considering taking them to my local "shoe guy" to see if he can stretch them out a bit... hoping that will help because I really want to wear them more next fall/winter.

Quality was great but one boot seemed to be a size smaller than the other. They can't be stretched because of the zipper. The size ifssue was mentioned in other posts. I should have paid attention to those!

Comfy at the feet, but the calf is really WIDE. I feel like I’m wearing rain boots.

I purchased the boot in grey. I liked the overall fit of this boot. I did not like the color. I thought the color was closer to a brown color. I returned them for that reason.

The circumference of the calf was 2 inches to big.

I am 5' 1" and the distance from the bottom of my heel to the bend in the back of my knee is 15.25". This boot is perfect. It comes just below my knee cap and does not hit me at the bend of my knee. The boot looks and feels great. I look forward to wearing these often.

Great boots

I normally wear a 9 in this brand. Needed a 10. Gorgeous color.

I was looking for an alternative to black riding boots and wanted to love these. The color is beautiful and the leather is high quality, but the fit was off. Behind each foot the leather was so hard it felt like there was a bar behind my foot. I often shop for a wide calf boot, but read reviews that said this style had a generous shaft. I was pleased I could get them zipped up, but they would've likely been uncomfortable several hours later.

I love this boot, except the calves are way too large! And I don't even have skinny calves! Please Born, please make a version with smaller circumference.

These are beautiful boots, simple and elegant. The inside are soft, no need for tall socks. I mostly wear boots with tights. In the end, these gap too much at the top, making them look cheap and ill fitting. I am struggling to find boots that meet the diversity of body/leg types, while also being well made and will last through more than one season. :-(

Born is my favorite shoe brand and I’m consistently the same size. I loved the look and feel of the leather but the left boot felt narrower than the right AND the calf circumference was much wider than stated. The shaft of the boot had at least a 1 inch gap between my calf and the boot. They had the appearance of a rain boot once on and was not the fit I wanted. I really wanted to love them but I returned them.

I loved these boots so much, and really wanted to keep them, but unfortunately have to return them because of sizing. I wear a 5.5-6 in boots and I ordered a size 6 (as that was the smallest size available), but the the sole of the shoe was too long for me. A 5.5 would have been perfect. The design of the shoe is beautifully classic, with soft leather, a sturdy tread, a velvety soft lining, and good arch support. The shaft circumference was quite a bit bigger than was listed on the Zappos website, though. My boots had a circumference of nearly 16 inches. Wish I could have kept these, but they were just too big!

These boots are gorgeous! I am very pleased with the overall look and feel. The inner fabric is super soft and pretty. They are supportive and comfortable boots. Happy with my purchase. I'd recommend!

I like a more rounded toe, and the color is very dark.

I ordered a couple of pair of boots as I am 5'10" with longer legs and fairly narrow calves (13.5). The boots are not as high to my knee as I would have hoped, and the shaft was wider than I would have liked. The leather was good quality, and there is very nice lining making a good winter boot. The arch support was moderate and was comfortable enough, but I am sending back as it isn't a good fit with my leg shape. This is why I shop with Zappos as they make returns easy.

The shaft on these boots is very wide! I would recommend these boots to women with a quite hefty leg shape. I had to return the black leather ones, as it's a stiff leather, which made the wide shaft really stand away from my legs. However the gray suede version is a softer boot, and I did keep them, as the leather was more relaxed and the wide shaft didn't stand off the leg so much.

Love the boots as they are very comfortable. Only problem is the zipper they are hard to zip as they get stuck in a spot at the bottom of the boot. I tried a couple things to make them zip smoothly but the one boot seems to have a problem. Should have sent them back but needed them in a hurry. I would recommend them.

I love these boots so much, the leather quality is great and they have truly nailed classic styling. The size 7.5 is too small and narrow for my feet that are usually 7.5. Returning these and exchanging for a half size up, hope that works!
