Wear my pair around city where I live. On my bike fourteen miles a day in Bare Access XTR; super comfortable. Wear barefoot or thin socks - or your normal size will feel tight.

I love Merrells and have many pair. These run very large. I’m returning my usual size and reordering one size lower. Very odd for Merrell.

I have had every bare access irritation. This is the best one yet. I have tried so many other shoes and nothing compares. Please keep the bare access family going. I ran a 100km race in these last month and they performed flawlessly. No blisters, no injuries. Perfect!

Please always keep something like this shoe in your lineup. Hard to find 0 drop moderately cushioned shoes that work well for both casual and trail. This one fits the bill very well.

I love Merrell shoes, doing a lot of running over the years and now CrossFit I need a show that performs. Merrel have excelled in both. Man of there shoes has an amazing gym floor grip. I bought these for new running shoes. In and out of the gym. The Bare Acess feels lighter than advertised and is heartier when i run on pavement or side streets. Highly recommended these shoes for any foot.

Just got them a couple of days ago and thought I would have to break them in to like them. I have a wide foot and was skeptical of the sizing. However right away they were comfortable and sizing was perfect for me. Already thinking of another order.

I'd forgotten how used to metal eyelets I'd become after 77 years! Voila! EYELETS! Wow! How did we ever forget them? Oh, yeah. 'Progress.' 'Newer' is much better than 'older.' 'We can only sell something if its 'cutting edge.' Blah, blah. (Sorry.) Ahem . . . oh, yes, the review! Although I've been a runner when younger, I walk for daily exercise, now. I've been buying the '0 heel to toe,' series, ('Glove' ??) from you for several years . . . maybe 5, or 6 pair. . The 'barefoot runner' is a perfect shoe for this. The last several pair of your shoes I've used have the terrible cloth eyelets that tie okay, but always tangle and trap a foot, (or both,) when putting them on. Most often the laces end up under my foot, so to tie the shoe, one has to remove it, sort the laces, and put it back on to tie. These modern idea marvels probably look great on paper, but they're really a lame design. Marketing and sales staff probably love them. I don't. Now, the great thing! These 'new' Bare Access XTR are, overall, the best light weight shoe I've ever had. I love them! I use them as walking shoes, but also have pretty much replaced a couple pair of my Brand X 'sneakers',(also with cloth eyelets,) with your excellent shoe. They 'look' good, are very comfortable, and 'go with' jeans, Khakis, etc. Five stars, follks! (And PLEASE keep at least a couple eyelet laced shoes in your line!! GA

Size 10 fits perfectly. Quality seems good. My neighborhood borders an open space park with a few trails so I've taken these out on the dirt a few times already, lots of loose rock downhills. Good traction. I've also used them for general conditioning runs. There's enough cushioning for asphalt, at least for me. Merrell's products are still the only shoes I will pay full price for! Keep up the good work.

I'm a total Merrel fan. My work has me on my feet all day and alternating between my pairs of Merrels has been a real treat for my once aching dogs.

So these are my first pair of barefoot style (zero drop, wide toe box) shoes, and they are a welcome change. I usually wear more casual sneakers like Saucony Jazz and Onitsuka Tigers, but these Merrells are so much more comfortable. After three weeks of near-constant wear, putting in about 5 miles a day, I have not noticed any durability issues. I look forward to walks more, and they are relatively good-looking compared to other barefoot style shoes (I realize these aren't proper barefoot, but they are the closest I've tried). I did a bit of trail running in them last weekend. I do agree that they are a bit slippery when the ground is wet, but I haven't had any issues with them. I would be interested in a more casual look, as these are a bit sportier than I tend to like normally. But overall I really like them!

Many other zero offset running shoes are either too bulky, or too minimalist and close to the ground. This new Merrell Bare Access XTR is agile, flexible, light, with just the right amount of support and cushioning, not too much, not too little.

these have been my favorite running shoe so far. I feel connected to the ground and they are SUPER grippy. I can feel comfortable running in the rain without slipping too. High-quality materials.

These shoes are super light weight but incredibly comfortable out of the box. They have a great feel on the trail. They provide enough feedback to feel the trail texture and give you confidence and a sure footedness that no other shoe provides. Indoors they make for a great shoe for long airport concourse and tarmac. Merrell has sure perfected this shoe.

I decided to try out a zero drop shoe I could use hiking/walking on paths and trails. I sometimes deal with plantar fasciitis and I've been experimenting with different types of lightweight walking, hiking, and trail running shoes. I was looking for something lightweight, comfortable, with good support and cushion. Bare Access XTR seems to fit the bill so far. My walks/hikes vary from 3 to 8 miles daily. My intent is to pick up the pace and use these for trail running once I've lost 10+ more pounds. I'm also into ultralight backpacking so I'm curious how these will feel when I add a little weight on my back.

The color attracted me & everything else fell into place. Have already used them on a WY hike & them performed well. I would like to get a yellow size 12 if there are any more to be had.
