These shoes are deceptively small. I tried them on indoors and they seemed to fit. After walking on the street it became obvious the toe box is ridiculously small for a supposed boot-type shoe. I usually wear 11.5 or 12 in Merell shoes, in the past size 12 would feel roomy and comfortable. Not with these shoes, I don’t see how they will fit anyone comfortably. I miss the old Merell quality and reliability, something has happened in the last 3 years. I would like to return these but I already tossed the box since they seemed to fit when I bought them. Avoid this shoe it’s a terrible fit for what it costs.

These shoes are not suitable for regular heavy use. They're so poorly built that I'm finding myself replacing them with less than a year of use. They're hot and do not have traction on wet surfaces. The inner Achilles-area fabric has worn down to its bone. The rubber toe-kick is peeling off significantly, the leather has wrinkled in an unattractive fashion and even sections of the rubber sole have chipped off. Not worth the money. Would not recommend.

I have been wearing the Merrell Moab 2 shoe almost daily for longer than I can remember. I have two pair, and wear each every other day to even out the wear. Well, actually, I have eight pair - six are in my yardwork/work shoe pile and the other two are the ones I wear daily. I didn't wear Merrells to church, until now - this pair of leather Moab 2 Prime shoes is now my "Sunday go to meeting" shoe. What can I say? I'm a simple man and like things that are functional and comfortable.

I bought my first pair of Merrell shoes (the current Moab model at the time) 2 years ago. I wore them for work 4-5 days/week. The still looked good, but the way I walk wore out the heels on both shoes. So, I didn't hesitate to buy another pair hoping they last as long.

I don't hike. I own a pool maintenance business that I run on my own. Protecting your feet is part of the business. The Moab 2 is a tough shoe. It's a bit stiff and there's some heel lift, but it's rugged and waterproof. The heel to toe transition is abrupt drop instead of a graceful motion. The outsole is like a tractor tire, not a race car tire. I've been through a few waterproof shoes and boots. Most only last a season. I'll definitely find out what these shoes can handle!

I wear my Merrills every day. I put in an average of 9,000 steps a day. I walk on sidewalks in town and dirt on the trails. The typical trail I hike is about three miles. Not arduous My Merrills always fit well. I use my laces as a barometer. Once they fray it's time to buy a new pair of Moabs. Typically, once every 4 months.

Super comfortable right out of the box! I've been wearing Merrell shoes for years, they have always been extremely durable and stand up to heavy use. These are no different, I'll definitely buy again!

Tried these on and they were perfect from day one. Wore them though hiking in Acadia Natl Park as well as walking 10 miles in them, on our area trails. My feet have stayed completely dry though walking through puddles of rain and mud. My spouse ended up getting the same shoe and loves them as well.

I bought these because I needed comfortable shoes at work but I frequently have to walk through several inches of water after a rain since our entry way floods. Used to spend hours in soaked feet after a rain... Not anymore... These shoes repel water and keep me comfortable through the work day. Good show for trails as well very sturdy great traction. Recommend highly would and will buy again but 6 months in these are going strong

These are the most comfortable show that I own, from the first day that I put them on. Merrell is the show brand I will buy online, as I know that the sizes are right on the money!

Outstanding, hiked far N California, Montana, Idaho panhandle, Washington, UK peak district, Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. Have become my everyday shoe. Just ordered my 3 pair although both the other pairs are still in good shape.
