We needed to exchange a size 11 for this 11.5. So I would say that the 11 was a half size too small. This is perfect.

The Moab 2 Prime Waterproof is excellent in fit and function. The strong sole provides great support and traction. These work all the way to the top of the Eiffel Tower.

This is my 10-15th pair of MOABs that I have owned. They are my primary walking/hiking shoe. I prefer the waterproof version as I live in the PNW, and the waterproofing works very well. My feet stay dry at all times, including wet stream crossings. My walking/hiking is primarily in the woods on dirt/gravel trails but these shoes also work well when traveling in Europe or elsewhere on hard surfaces. I have found then to be durable and are always comfortable. No break in required. Occasionally, as the shoe gets old, I will replace the insoles to extend the comfortable period of the shoe. I average 60-70 miles/week on the shoe (I'm retired).

I have three pairs of Merrell shoes. All three pairs have been fine right out of the box. No problems with any of them. They are very comfortable, and offer a lot of support for my feet. The size has always been exactly as ordered. The design and construction of the Merrell Moab 2 shoes is very good. The Vibram soles are great. I think these Moab 2 shoes are a good value, and I should get years of wear out of them.

Very comfortable, lots of support and kept my feet dry. Perfect for walking the dog through wet grass on a summer morning! I usually wear a 9.5, but had to go up to a 10. This was true of other Merrells I've owned. Really excellent hiking gear.

I was tired of my feet getting wet from the dew. Love these for light hiking and walks with the dogs.

Very sturdy shoes, attractive and made for hikes and prolonged wear. Can also be used as casual shoe, though truly is for adventure. Really pleased. Long-term Merrell fan.

Very comfortable almost right away. Built with lasting quality. living in Oregon having shoes that are waterproof in the winter is important. These shoes well fit this characteristic.

A great shoe, it is so difficult to find an all-leather tennis shoe, so many are made of synthetic material that gets your feet wet w/ the slightest drop of water. I have used these in snow and rain and my feet stayed dry.

They said they were waterproof. And they meant it. With their "Vibram" anti-slip soles (on wet rocks) and the waterproof leather outer covering holds up as a hiking sneaker that keeps your feet warm. The sturdiness keeps your feet stable while hiking. Another great product that doesn't disappoint.

Definitely go one half size up. The shoes are very comfortable, but they are very warm because of the waterproofing. Would definitely recommend these just take my advice and get a half size bigger.

Canvass - no way. Mesh a bit longer lasting. Leather is most durable. Add Goretex and you have a nice cool and wet weather shoe for spoing and fall hikes. A bit hot for summer. I order WIDE in most brands but Merrel Moab is wider than most in medium width. It has better traction on wet rocky terrain than many soles but long thorns can penetrate through.

Comfortable right out of the box and has performed great while hiking rocky mountain trails around Phoenix. Traction is on par with my Hoka trail running shoes.

Just wore these for first time on a short hike along the Coastal Trail on Maui. Good grip and very comfortable. I like that these are not as heavy as my previous hikers. Reserving the fifth star for rainy/muddy hike

I have to remember not to get the loops. In my case, the holes would be better.

PURCHASED FOR HUSBAND. HE SAID HE DOES LIKE THEM. HE WEARS THEM FOR WALKS IN PARKS AND/OR MALLS. HE ALSO SAID THEY DO TAKE A LITTLE BREAK-IN PERIOD THOUGH. OTHER THAN THAT, THEY'RE GENERALLY VERY NICE!
