The whole line of Moab's are amazing I highly recommend just getting one pair in each color and only wear Merrells in all that you do!
One of the best shoe companies on the planet keep up the good work!

I recently purchased my second and third pair of Merrell shoes because I was incredibly pleased with the first.

This boot felt great right out of the box. Will be great for our Minnesota winters.

Very comfortable boot right out of the box. No break-in needed. Looking forward to the feel of this boot as it wears in to the shape of my foot and my walking characteristics. Was apprehensive to see how a hiking boot meshed on my BMW R1250GSA adventure touring motorcycle in regards to the foot controls. No issues! Thanks Merrell for a great product.

This is my second set of Merrell Hiking boots and I can't beleive how light and comfortable this boot feels. I've been in Law Enforcement and the Military so I've worn a fair share of boots. Works as presented and would definately recommend.

The comfort for my feet, which have nerve pain, is the very best support I need to hike. I highly recommend

They seemed about a half-size bigger than the pair of Moab 2 low-rise that I have.

These boots were comfortable right out of the box. I have only worn them on one hike so far, but they had great grip and feel. The leather is sturdy and the boots feel well built overall. They're my third pair of Merrells. The only complaint might be that the shoe strings are a bit short.

Sizing and fit are quite a bit better than most. I wear a size 14 and Merrills are the only boots since my Zamberlans that give me enough room in the toes for extended descents. The heel counter cradles well enough that even the first time out, there were no hot spots. I've been trying hard to like a pair of Oboz boots for a couple years now, but I've never really been satisfied as they hurt my feet after just a few miles. After wearing the Merrell's in the house for a few weeks, I finally felt confident to wear them outdoors and took a 10 mile hike on fairly easy terrain. My feet always get a little sore after a longish hike like that, but I was pleasantly surprised when at some point I realized I hadn't been thinking about my feet at all. The Merrills will continue to work really well for me as long as I don't use them on rocky terrain, as the sole does still transmit more point related pressure than comfortable. That kind of terrain is handled better by my Solomons or Zamberlans.
I'd also recommend:

I truly love Merrell hiking boots they do a great job providing style, stability, comfort, traction, and everything that makes hiking fun a great pair of hiking boots! The Moab 2 prime are the best of the best! I love everything about them. They do run a bit bigger than the regular Moab line.

I have the Moab 2 Prime shoes and I like them a lot, so I decided to get the Moab 2 Prime Mid to replace my old Moab GTX which served as my primary hiking boots for years. These new all leather Mids are the bomb! Out of the box, they were a bit stiff, but I figured that's just because they were all leather and built sturdier. I put them on and they were comfortable right away. Went hiking the very next day and they broke in easily after only a mile. Love these boots.

First the bad: I bought the medium width in my normal size and it was way too tight in the toe.
Now the good: Still, even though uncomfortably tight, I fell in love with this shoe after a week of intense hiking across England and then all winter in the snow. Extraordinary support. The shoe kept my posture in check and years of back pain vanished.
Next season I bought the shoe in the wide and it was a bit too wide in the toe, but still the soles gave me the support I needed. I used my old tight pair as fishing shoes after attaching felt to bottom. Best fishing shoes I ever owned.

I wanted some shoes that were all leather and mid style. These shoes looked great on Zappos website and so I ordered them. Excellent shoes, very comfortable. I'm very picky about my shoes because my feet are flat and must have good support. These are great and they look very nice also. Zappo's rocks again!!!

Okay, I'm a little biased having owned well over 30 pair of Merrell boots but here it goes. I like this boot a lot, just wish it came with a gortex lining. Only time this boot comes off my feet is for sleep (honestly, I have slept with it on several times) and the occasional dry out period. I'm frequently in this boot over 14 hours a day and never think about wanting to get it off my feet. Seems to be mostly waterproof have had no issues washing vehicles and walking in the snow, no water leakage, feet stay dry. Boot seems to dry very fast and maintains NO odor. When it gets really, really cold my toes get mildly uncomfortable but I'm talking about being in below 0 F, stationary without a lot of movement for 30 minutes or longer. The grip on ice is not overly reassuring but I'm thinking anything short of spikes on my soles wouldn't be any better but I'm open to suggestions on that. This boot has great support and is a real pleasure to walk in. Looks good for pleasure wear with jeans and foots the bill for a work boot, all around well accommodating. I would buy this boot again!

Working as a Marine Technician and Manager, I'm always looking for comfort while on my feet for 10hrs a day and Waterproof is a must! I've owned 3 pairs of Gortex MOAB hikers so I know they last.
With winter coming up this past fall, I purchased these Prime 2 Mid-waterproof anticipating the same. So far, so awesome! Only wish these were Gortex as well as these will definitely be a bit too insulated and warm come summer months.
