I went with merrel when I should have stayed with my sportiva hiking boots that lasted me 9 years. These boots are "waterproof" for approximately 5 min. Even on a moderate hike through Vancouver's seymour reserve, they got wet with dew alone. They do not breathe and your feet will sweat. I'd say they are a good sitting around the fire on an october day boot, but then again wouldn't you want to be ready for anything? I have a pair of merrel climbing shoes that are one of my all time favourites...that is what led me to the purchase. However I have been let down with the Zion mid boot and they weren't exactly cheap. Save your money and move on.

These boots were great for the first day...save your money and go else where. Both toes split open and the whole dole is coming off after 2 months of use. I got these as a replacement of the Moab fst which were trash also. Merrell has really let me down and I feel like the boots get worse and worse.

I was really excited for these boots, but within a few months the shoes were broken around the toe area and the stiching was all fraying. Before they started to break, they were the coolest looking and most comfortable shoes I had worn, but they broke down much faster than is acceptable. They ARE super comfy, though. TLDR: I hate to leave a bad review, but I wouldn't recomend to anyone. I just got invited on a backpacking trip and I'll need to buy diffrent boots I can trust.

I just purchased these boots, brought them home and when I put them on I noticed the boot part was separating from the sole in several places. The adhesive that is used has given away.

This is the second type of Merrell shoe that's fallen apart on me after less than 3 months. If you're in the market for shoes, do yourself a favor and find another brand. Ps I idk what product usage is

I purchased these about an two hours ago. I got home and put them on to wear around the house to start breaking them in and noticed a click and awful sound in the toe box of both pairs. After inspecting them it seems the waterproof liner is not attached to the leather and rubber outer in the toe of the boot but it catches something sticky with every step. The feel and sound of it is just awful. It's like the liner is supposed to be attached but it's only partially attached and it's all I notice with every step I take. Very disappointed in the quality of a brand new pair of boots because everything else about them is exactly what I was looking for.
