Comfortable out of the box and I really like the style. I’ve purchased at least 10 pairs of Merrell’s in the past the quality has decreased greatly. If I’m lucky I get 6 months out of a pair before they start falling apart. You can’t beat the out of the box comfort. But they aren’t durable anymore

Comfortable and light. Wore out fast on rough trail.

The quality of the boots is good, but the problem is the toe box. A long hike in these boots caused blood blisters underneath my toenails (which has never happen to me before). I also strongly suspect the pressure on my toenails contributed to an ingrown toenail.

Returned. At least one size smaller than regular foot size. Doesn’t look like good value for price.

I like the fit of the boot, however the quality has been poor. I've had a few waterproof issues and the sole has already split after 7 months of light use.

I don't normally have smelly shoes as an issue but due to waterproofness of these shoes you will DEFINITELY notice it. Very athletic feeling, comfy as heck but WOW do they cause foot sweat issues. Maybe a non waterproof version?

Materials are great, styling is great, colors are great. Quality control might not be as great. Or at least size consistency or proper labels being put on shoes. I purchased these in Men's 10.5. They were pretty comfortable upon first try on. I tested them out in the desert for a few days and they seemed to be good until I noticed my big toe starting to develop pain. I guess I need another half size up. I bought a size 11 and some how they even tighter than the 10.5 size was. How is that even possible. Sizing issues or wrong labels on boots? It's unfortunate, because I would love these boots if they had accurate sizes. I love everything about these boots if I could actually get a correct sized boot. I shouldn't have to chase down or return something 3 times to like it. And they dont carry them in stores anywhere in San Diego. If they could figure out proper sizing on these. They would be great boots. But something is just wrong.

I returned these shoes because they run extremely small and they do not offer 1/2 sizes upwards of 12's. I have been buying Merrell's for years and I'm always a 12. These felt like 11's to me. They were extremely tight in all areas, which was surprising to me. I probably would have returned these either way because they are not very attractive shoes in person.

I have been a fan of Merrell quality. I replaced my older trail runner with the Zion Mid Waterproof for I loved how it looked and the comfort that the older shoe offered. The shoe definitely looks and feels great. The grip is awesome as well. To my surprise, I feel confident on wet surfaces as well! There however are a couple of problems I have with this shoe: 1. It fits smaller than expected. I read some of the reviews of this one and got half a size bigger. Yet, it is very snug even without any socks on. 2. The rubber is very soft and hence flexible. I wore these shoes to work for a day to break in and I could see depression marks on the rubber.

First off, I a big fan of Merrell I have owned many shoes from them and they have never disappointed, until now. I ordered these to do some desert hunting at the end of the summer. Hiked many miles in rough terrain, the comfort is what I expected in a Merrell shoe. After a couple of rain storms that pasted through the area I went out on the hunt for deer, after about an hour of hiking through the wet vegetation my right foot started to feel wet then another 30 mins my left foot was getting wet. After about a 3hr hike my feet were soaked, I never walked through any standing water only wet grass and brush. Comfortable shoe but not waterproof.

Comfortable but not waterproof. Hiked in them in the woods, and they got soaked almost immediately. Got them specifically for fall off trail hiking because it said waterproof. Disappointed overall

I was really hoping these would work. They're very lightweight and feel kind of cheap. The high top rubs the top of my ankle bone, sore after a hike. I wish Merrell had a "try them and if you don't like them, return or exchange them" policy, like REI.

Absolutely loved these boots when I first received them, incredibly comfortable, good grip and looked great. After about 4 months however the boot started to show its wear pretty significantly... Some of the stitching started to fray, the sole lugs have worn down to almost nothing and a seem cracked open on one of the boots.

I typically get 1.5-2years min out of each of my Merrell boots. This is everyday wear...I've never questioned the durability of any of my Merrell products...until now. First the positives. Comfort as always is superb. Traction and stability were also great. But within 6 months of regular, not abused use, the boot is separating from the sole and have become unwearable. I'm very disappointed in the quality of this specific pair of Merrell boots, as it's not something I've been conditioned to expect based on my prior 15years of experience of wearing ONLY Merrell footwear for my daily wear.

I have wore these boots on several small hikes and they performed perfectly. However a simple twig ripped the strap on the side right off which has bumbed me out completely. There boots aren't even 6 months old and look trashed now. I've had other Merrells that have last way better. These boots would work well for a urban hiker, but not on the trail.

I came back to update an apprehensive review I placed after first buying this boot. A happy Merrell customer, I was retiring a pair of boots I'd had for years with little problems. Thise boots were the most comfortable I'd ever owned, fitting like a glove in the store. These? I had to put in my old insoles to make them work. I was fine with the fix, but after only 8 months, the upper has started to separate from the sole. Stitching has also frayed. That and I've had numerous experiences of very poor grip on wet surfaces (not ideal for a formerly waterproof shoe.) Very disappointed and I can't recommend these like I could my old boots. Quality and comfort seem to have changed over the years with Merrell which is very disappointing.

I've had this shoe for just over a month now. The fit was pretty spot on for me. Insoles are a different story. They are super thin and did not stay in place. After three days of wearing them I whent and bought a new pair of insoles. Which was not a huge deal breaker for me. There was some stitching that started to come out in some places. The sole on the left shoe is already coming apart from the rest of the shoe after only a month of wear. I am extremely disappointed for that considering the price point for these shoes. About the only thing I can say positive about these shoe right now is they are comfortable. Other than that I will definitely not be buying another pair of these in the future.

I've had these boots for about 2 weeks now, and while they are comfortable they certainly are not waterproof. I wear them for work on a golf course and the morning dew is enough to make my feet wet for the rest of the day. I expected more than a few days of dry feet at work.

I bought a pair of Zion's in September for a backpacking trip in Rocky Mountain National Park. They performed very well at first- great fit, waterproof and comfortable. Because they look like sneakers I used them as an every day shoe in the winter. The boot fell apart. My feel got soaked in the snow. The soul of the boot came off the shoe. I was really upset because I thought I had found the perfect boot...

I really want to like these they have great aesthetic , but they are taking forever to break in. My main concern is the lack of what I perceive to be quality control. The right boot fits completely different from the left. The left has an odd stitch in the liner that makes it uncomfortable at certain angles. That being said I've been wearing these for about a month and I still am hoping that they will break into be comfortable. I am very disappointed in this product so far especially considering cost to comfort and my perceived quality.

My first time trying Merrell and Bought them to Hike Vermonts long trail 275 miles. The inside liner started move and slide around at 60 miles, 100 miles the front toe boxes started to peal away and the rubber was chipping away. 125 miles in and the right back heal where the leather meets the rubber started separating. With the help of duck tape I was able to get just under 200 miles before then went in the Garbage. Its was a total disappointment because they felt great

Wore these to work in a furniture warehouse for 4 months, they broke down with the soles coming off, and holes on both sides. They sent me a new pair, and the same thing has happened in 90 days. They look cool, but aren't built with lasting quality. I understand they sell dedicated work shoes/boots, however the selection is ugly and lacking any style.

Worst boots I've ever owned. I bought them in March and I only wore them snowy days the last few months and there are already holes in the seams. I'm happy to share photos but I am not happy with these shoes
