I work for Fedex up in the mountains where it snows an average 5 months out of the year. I also have some big feet (size 15 to be exact) so when i first wore the boots they felt slightly too snug, but I wear them all day 5-6 days a week and i broke them in and now they feel amazing. I also didn't order the boots in a bigger width. These boots blast through the snow without a problem while keeping my feet really warm and they have some really good grip on the ice. I bought them around the black Friday sales and I couldn't be happier with them. I will buy the boots over and over again.

These boots are warm, waterproof and have great tread. The only thing I don’t care for is the way they lace up. I can’t seem to get them tight enough because the tongue is so puffy. Then when I tie them to the top the lace wants to slip over the top of tongue. If I don’t double knot them they always come untied. Maybe as l break them in more they’ll get better. Hopefully.

I wish Merrell still made this boot. The fit is exceptional and is warm. I've worn it regularly in below zero conditions and it keeps my feet warm. The traction on ice and slippery surfaces is the best of any boot I have ever worn.

Perfect boots for living in coastal Maine, whether hiking or simply going through days of frequently changing weather. Warm in winter but suitable for all seasons, great traction, waterproof and extremely comfortable right out of the box - just like every pair of Merrells I've owned. Worth every penny!

I am a technician for a solar company and i often work in the cold, rain/freezing rain or snow during the winter. These boots are durable, comfortable and by far my favorite winter boots that I have ever owned.

Only got to use these once before winter let up. Wore them on a 3 mile hike over ice and snow. Comfortable right out of the box, the grip was excellent, feet stayed a comfortable temp, and they look good to boot!

After 3 winters of use, the Thermo Glacier Mid Waterproof is still performing very well under rough winter conditions. The Vibram Artic Grip outsole is great and I don't think I've ever slipped on wet ice. The M Select DRY impermeable membrane is still highly performing by keeping my feet dry and letting the moisture escape efficiently. The boot feels light and comfortable. I'm very satisfied with this boot.

Very satisfied so far (one winter), works very well here in cold Sweden, looks better than all other winter boots. A question to Merrell: what maintenance do you recommend to keep them in good shape for many years?

I work inside and outside all winter at a ski resort. In the cold and snow, slick and other conditions these boots perform admirably. They are extremely comfortable, waterproof, and warm enough for all but extremely cold conditions. Enough traction to go for a winter hike, enough support to be on your feet all day. They really do it all. My one gripe is that the lace loop on the tongue is in a useless position to be able to still tighten the laces.

I bought these for my husband who has been wearing the same boots for 20 years! He absolutely loves them. They fit great and have wonderful traction. And they keep his feet warm! Definitely recommend these boots!

These are excellent boots! I hike in the snow and these are comfortable and have great traction. Have really great arch support. Waterproof through and through. The tread does not gather snow pack which is amazing. They are also an attractive boot on.
