These shorts are great if you're looking for longer length. They hit me right at mid knee. They are super comfortable and flattering since the legs are slimmer cut. I purchased the size 10 and they fit perfectly--I'm 5'7" and 160 pounds.

These shorts are so comfy that I almost feel naked... not an exaggeration! I bought one pair and now I want one in every color. They also look really great on... I have a plump backside and they fit every inch with no binding or gaps anywhere. Buy them!

I bought one pair to try, then bought two more! These are comfortable and flattering. The longer length works because the fit through the thigh is slimming without being tight. Highly recommend!

I'm a yoga teacher and am constantly looking for better shorts, capris, and pants. I LOVE THESE and have bought them in every color except Tusk and would keep buying them if they keep making new colors. They fit nicely, are stretchy, light, well-made, and don't show sweat, which is important when everyone's looking at you, if you know what I mean. I'm 5'3, 130, size 8. I have big hips which they don't accentuate. They fall right below my knees.

These are so comfortable and good looking they will be my favorite pair of pants. Length is good for casual evenings. Fabric will wash and dry well for travel. Light Grey is exactly like on my monitor.

I'm 5'9" and they hit mid-knee. Love the length, love the fit. So comfy and slimming.

I bought the Women's Anytime Outdoor Long Short last year and loved them. They are great for hiking, exercising, yoga and even as water shorts. I was so excited to find them this year and bought another pair for me and one for my sister. Keep offering these shorts; they are great!

I haven't worn these yet since it is still a little cool for me outdoors. But I have tried them on and I know I will enjoy wearing them when the weather warms up a little more. I am between a size 8 and 10, so I ordered the size 10 and they fit perfect.

The style and fit of these shorts are all I have ever wanted. I am 5'3" and curvy with a small waist. I love the drawstring waist, for I can make them fit perfectly around my curves. The length is the most flattering out there and the fabric always looks great and is incredibly durable. Great dressed up or down for adventures!

Fabric light weight, does not wrinkle and stay looking good all day.

These shorts are great! They are so comfortable! They fit perfect without being too snug or feeling sloppy or loose. It seems like the longer I wear them the more comfortably they fit. The length is not too long or short (I'm almost 5'8") and they will be a good protection from the sun. I am looking forward to wearing them in warm weather all spring and summer. Thank you Columbia for finally adding more colors, I love the india ink blue color! I would buy even more of these if there were more colors--like a green or darker gray but for now these are awesome. Please never stop making these!

These are my new favorite shorts for hiking and for around town. They are a little loose in the waist but they have a drawstring which helps to bring it in a little.

I love these shorts and have purchased all the colors. They are cut slimming following the form of the leg, which is way more attractive than the squared off bermuda type shorts. I love getting them on sale, but would pay full price if they had more colors. They have just the right amount of stretch for comfort, and pockets for holding keys and necessities. I hope they keep making these forever!

I love these shorts! I am really into a "tailored" look and these shorts deliver.

If you are looking for a /comfortable/workable fit without feeling strangled by tightness these shorts are for you. I am not a large person but have curvy hips that these shorts hide without the tight hugging features of most styles. In other words they are slimming.

I can't say enough good about these shorts. The material is awesome; stretches and moves with you without stretching out of shape; extremely comfortable in our hot, humid climate; flattering cut. PLEASE NEVER stop making them.

They were smaller than the size indicated. The fabric was nice and comfortable. I plan to return them and get a pair 2 sized larger. I don't like tight fitting close, especially if they are supposed to be like sweat pants.

Really like the fit overall-except the top. I really don't prefer the drawstring top. It's inconvenient and unflattering.

This is a very nice pair of shorts; pretty well made, nice light fabric, stylish, and should serve me well on the golf course on hot days. The one drawback is that the waistband is snug and has no elastic in it. This is the only pair of Columbia bottoms I've found that actually fit me. The trail and cargo pants I've tried are tailored to be body-clinging for thin, young athletic bodies, which excludes those of us who are active and older, but no longer - or never did - have slim, athletic builds. The rise was uncomfortable, they were very snug through the thighs and rump, even though I'm petite - 5'1', 130+lbs., so not heavy. I hope Columbia takes that into consideration when designing women's bottoms in the future.

Love the material, the pockets and especially the length which is why I purchased. The only thing I don't like is there is sort of extra material on the outer part of leg which sort of gives a jodhpur look. I'm an average build so maybe this extra material is for someone more muscular? That's the reason for the 4 stars.

I would give these shorts 5 stars, but Columbia's fit is so inconsistent. (I too order a size up in Columbia.) Within the last two months, I've purchased these shorts twice in size 8 and love them. When I purchased another size 8 soon after in a different color, they were way too small. I've noticed this type of problem (buying the same size in the same style, but the fit is different) in a few different Columbia pants and shorts styles over the past few years. It's very frustrating that Columbia can't seem to get their act together regarding consistent sizing. Otherwise, I love the style of these shorts (a dressier casual short), and, when the pair I order fits, they're very comfortable.
