These shorts are made of a nice fabric. They fit well and are very comfortable. Good purchase.

These shorts are longer than "shorts", a little longer, and are perfect for many occasions that you may not want to look like you are wearing shorts. The fabric washes well, and does not wrinkle. I bought 1 pair last year, and loved them so much I could hardly wait for them to be on sale this spring, so bought 2 more pair.

They are the pants but sewed short. If you like the pants then you'll the shorts. Soft and flexible. Wear in hot or cool weather.

I wouldn't say the fit is small as much as body conscious in the way of most athletic wear. I usually wear a 10 and I have both tan and black in 10 that fit well. Super stretchy. Quick drying. Flattering. Perfect balance of form and function. Plus the tan doesn't show sweat lines! Great travel option. Packs well and useful for excersize or dinner out.

These shorts fit me very true to size, love the light weight but strong material, love the style and length and love the fact that they are nice and stretchy and so comfortable!!! The black is not a "black" black but more of a soft black that is very nice too. My only complaint is that I can't order more of these as most sizes and colors are sold out!! I wish I had discovered them earlier!

I bought a pair of these in gray because they looked good online and looked like they'd be long enough for me (I'm 6 feet and have trouble finding long shorts). These are my favorite shorts -- so comfortable and easy to care for. I bought them in every available color and wish I'd bought more. I can't get enough of these lightweight and stylish shorts!!!

These shorts are very comfortable, form flattering and lightweight. Love the versatility from trail to yoga class.

Love these shorts. I wear them all the time. I'm 5'2" and they come just past my knees -perfect! If they get wet, they dry in no time at all. The fabric is perfect for traveling -no wrinkling and very packable. I don't see the need for a zipper -pull-on with a stretchy waist and drawstring is just fine.

A friend introduced me to these shorts, and I love them. They are very flattering and are great for travel and for those times when you don't want to wear shorter shorts. I like them so much that I ordered another pair right away!

Love these. I'd say I love these shorts but I have pants, capris, shorts, and long shorts and I love them all. Very comfortable, travel well, and the fabric functions exactly how they should on the trail. I wear a size 12 and bought a size 14 based on the other reviews and they fit comfortable. I could probably go with a 12 and say the same thing but I prefer more flex on the trail. These are my go to items for nearly everything. Light weight and perfect for hot summer nights.

I was skeptical that these shorts would work on me, despite the positive reviews. I tried them anyway, and must say the reviews are spot on. They are stretchy and lightweight, and very comfortable. I am 5-7, 140 (bought a size 10, normally wear an 8), with some weight around my middle. These shorts did not accentuate that, and I felt that they actually made me look slimmer.

I liked the pair I ordered so much I ordered a second pair. They are a bit long for shorts (about halfway between capris and shorts) so they may not be best for very hot weather. But they are nice looking and oh so comfortable. I brought four pairs of shorts on my recent vacation, and I had to force myself to wear anything but these.

I'm leery about buying clothes online, but sure hit the jackpot with these shorts! They fit perfectly and I love wearing them - so comfortable with a lightweight stretchy fabric that never binds. The elastic drawstring waist keeps it as snug as you want. I'm tempted to buy several more pairs lest they disappear on me, especially since I couldn't find them in the outlet store.

These pants are super comfortable, fit well and are great for almost anything. The longer length makes them good for everyday wear as well as sports. I would love to see them in more colors.

These shorts are comfortable, light weight and cool. These shorts are modest for a lady that wants to hide aging legs. The material is very flexible; there is no binding.

I bought several of these shorts in black and washed them along with an old pair that I had for two years. When they all came out of the dryer I couldn't tell the old pair from the new ones because the old pair still looked so fresh and new. I love the longer length that hits just above my knees and has a slimming appearance. Great comfort and style.

I purchased these in a beautiful blue color to use in teaching yoga, Pilates and group fitness. They're very comfortable and I continue to be very pleased with Columbia products in their lightweight fabrics and durability.

We do alot of boating, the shorts are so cool and comfortable, if they get wet they dry right out. Love them.

I am so excited. I just received these shorts today. They fit like a dream, are very complimentary and feel so soft on. I purchased two pairs for a cruise in August. I can't wait to wear these. I am 5'2, weigh 167 and normally wear a size 12. I ordered up to insure a fit. And they do fit. Very flattering.

I purchased these because I wanted something shorter than a capri that did not come much above my knee. These shorts are perfect for that purpose. I am 5'4" and these came just about to my kneecap while standing. The fabric is light weight and comfortable. They washed up really nice as well. The only, very slight, negative is that they have a tie at the waist that is really extra long. I just tuck it down inside the waistband for now but may remove it all together.

I wear mine dragonboat paddling, gardening, hiking, or just out. They are light-weight and crazy versatile!

Love these shorts. They are very light weight, super comfortable, and dry very quickly. They look great as well. I am always being asked "Where did you get those shorts?" Please don't stop making these! They do stretch out a little while being worn, so the waist ties are good to have.

I own at least 10 pair of these Anytime Outdoor shorts and pants, and have worn them for over a year now in many conditions. Wore these through out my second pregnancy (very comfortable and stretched great), after having baby, and now for hiking, walking, everyday use, and they are so comfortable. Only things I have found is that these are great everyday shorts, but if you are hiking through any brush or bushwhacking, they tend to snag easy. The material is light, but be careful in the backcountry. Also, the drawstring is great, but often comes out in the wash. I have knotted mine at the end to hold it. Drawstring can be threaded manually, as I've done this many times, but it takes about 5-10 minutes, so not convenient when in a rush. Overall, I love these shorts and pants.

I live in Arizona. These shorts stay cool and dry. If I jump in the pool they dry quickly. Incredibly comfortable. Fit true to size. I loved them so much I bought 3 pairs.

I absolutely love and need these shorts. They serve more than one function. Besides being extremely comfortable and breathable, they are a great river short and for kayaking. They drain water well and dry quickly. I own 4 pairs and want more! Living in California, allows me to wear them year round.
