Not much support, but I believe with the right insole it would be perfect. Would recommend wearing crew socks because the design of the heel may dig into the back of your foot

I absolutely love vans.I have about 30 pairs. All day every day I wear nothing but them (Besides for work). When googling non-slip shoes, little behold vans popped up! I was beyond excited! I HAD to have them. Pro, love the design, well put together. Con, I slide everywhere! Working in the restaurant industry these are not the right fit. Very upset I can't wear them to work.

Were these to work today, stood for about 6 and 1/2 to 7 hours on concrete floor (retail) And yeah my feet still hurt and my back is killing me. I like the shoes, but they are definitely not for standing all day if you have problems with your feet hurting.

It is very hard for me to give VANS a bad review, Ive used Vans for over 30 years now for everything from skating, to hiking to working in the kitchen. That said, its the second time I receive a shoe with a colorway that is not identical to the one advertised and bought. This time I bought all black For the Makers Old Skools, which upon receipt are more like Black & Gray. Last order, they came in a greenish gray hue with black stripe and suede. I cannot give less of a rating because these shoes are incredibly comfortable and, in my experience, durable. I work in kitchens all day 6 days a week and my feet are happy.

I work in the restaurant business and have been wearing this line of non slip vans for the last 4 years. I've had 4 pairs so far, 3 different styles, and they have all gotten holes, rips, the sole coming apart.and some only after a month of wearing them. I keep buying them though because they look better than the other non slip shoes out there. I wish the quality was better considering these are more expensive then regular vans. I have many other vans and they do not fall apart like this so easily. If you wanna be stylish go for it but just be warned they don't last long. Also the color turns green on the shoes after some time.

Not as non slip as I was expecting but fine. The sides look dark green in normal light not black. I wish they just looked black everywhere so that's annoying.

The toe and heel a black as can get, but the textile on the sides didn't appear black. Usually it looks dark green depending on the lighting.

I'd like to start by stating they're NOT sli resistant :( I slip more in these than my regular shoes! I work as a waitress in a restaurant and we literally make jokes and throw me around because of how slipper these shoes are. A side from that they're comfortable and they stay pretty clean for the most part and I love that they're somewhat water resistant. I just strongly wish they were actually slip resistant def not like 100% slip proof I just want to be able to walk around normal without having to hold onto something so I won't fall.

I love vans. Always have. I will continue you to buy these for work because they are worth it to me. However I only wear these shoes for work 4 -5 hours a day and only five days a week with breaks during the year. The bottom of them have started to Separate from the soles of my shoes and I have only had them about 9 months now. It is disappointing to have to buy another pair to replace them. But I will willing do so time and time again. They are my comfortable childhood shoe upgraded to suit my job as a cook. Love them just wish they would have help up a bit longer.

I purchased these for my daughter for work in a restaurant. Her employer told her she could not wear them to work because they were not slip resistant in oil. Luckily, she really likes them and thinks they are comfortable for regular wear, but I wish I had been wiser about checking for oil-resistance because she was unable to return to work until we could find her different shoes. These did not fit that bill.

I'm a bartender and I work in a brewery. I've had these shoes for about 2 weeks now and although they look killer and are super comfortable I've had two slips in them already. Be careful!

Very comfortable for all day wear. Already busted my butt in them so the anti slip part isn’t accurate at all, as other reviews have stated. Look great on, but the stain resistance is sub par as well. Already have a big stain on the toe from honey mustard. Have waterproofed them now to prevent further stains

Although it is stylish, good quality and comfortable it is not slip resistant. I work in the kitchen and I'll be slipping with these shoes. Last time I will get them.

Like what the comfycush shoes are supposed to be. Just has extra thick insoles that kill my feet and knees. If would just have a flat insole or if there was at least an option to buy other insoles like the classic flats then it would be perfect. Unfortunately the options seem to be classics without a liner that rub my feet raw or a more comfortable sock liner like this shoe, but a thick insole that causes pain.

I've had the canvas ones for over a year now and have even had coworkers also buy them after seeing them on me but i will say I'm disappointed in the way they stay to separate on the heels especially. I finally broke them in and now they look older than they are. Yet i still would like to but another pair but have been sold out since forever.

I tried this in both a women's 9 and 9.5. The 9 ended up being the better fit, so maybe size down if you're between half sizes. I think these are just okay... they look better in pictures online. I can see what people meant in other reviews about the canvas looking dark green, not black. The suede is a way darker black than the canvas- makes the shoes look faded, even though they're brand new. I would rate the non-slip quality of the soles to be moderate. They're less slippery on a wet floor than other shoes, but still more slippery than the Shoes For Crews brand. I am a full-time server and tested them out a bunch of times before writing this review. The insole cushion is pretty good- my feet never really hurt after a long shift. All in all, I don't really think you get what you pay for with this Made For The Makers line, and I would not purchase them again.

I bought this product because I didn't want the regular ugly work shoes for not slipping; it isn't my style. The vans are slip resistant on certain stuff but when I mop I tend to slip and I wouldn't recommend however I think they're meant for skating however I'm going to buy the crocs for slip resistance and test them out (:

I've bought 2 pair of these shoes. The first lasted about 6 months and the soles came off the second pair after 2 months. They look great but don't hold up as well as they should.

I wanted to love these shoes so bad, but I just can't. They're not at all non-slip or comfortable. My feet always hurt after wearing them at work.

They first pair that i bought i loved the made for makers 1.0 they were the slip on in black and had they had the white rubber part. They looked amazing and then they changed to all black the 2.0 i did notice that they wear out fast and too expensive for how fast they wear out

These shoes are not non-slip. They look great, and are pretty comfortable, but they are just as slippery as normal vans when worn in a restaurant setting. The only difference is that they cost more.
