For 5' 2" and 105 lbs, the XS was way too tight in the chest even for a chest circumstance of 32" The XS hit almost at the knee so the small would be too long.

This jacket is warm and was the style I was looking for but unfortunately the feathers have been coming out since the moment I got it. Less than 2 months in and everyday I find feathers falling out or on my clothes. I am fully aware that it is a down jacket and there may be some feathers that fall out, but in this case there are simply too many large feathers falling out. I went into the store and asked to return the jacket at the Edina Galleria and the lady helping me was very rude and told me I had to massage the feathers in.. she then tried to do as said and ended up pulling more out.. not happy!

This jacket is a great length, very warm, and stylish. I only wish I could wear it everywhere I need to go without constantly losing the down fill. My car seat is absolutely coated in down fill. When I walk tiny feathers float around me. I've followed all of the care instructions and three weeks in I'm still consistently shedding down each day. At this rate this jacket will be useless to me before winter is over and at this price point that feels unacceptable.

I was so excited for this product, saved up for over a year for it. I noticed the reviews for the feathers falling out but I assumed it would not be that bad but unfortunately it was. It started off very minor but within months it was out of control. I got the XS and the jacket also tended to look too long for my petite frame but it was good at keeping me warm, that was until the feathers kept falling out.

I ordered this jacket because I live in Washington and it could get really cold. I've only had it for 2 weeks now and the feathers are coming out of the seams.

There were feathers coming out of it as I took it out of the box ?? Very sad that NF quality has gone downhill. I have the last version of this coat and it’s still in great shape , no feathers flying after two years

The feathers that come out of this coat is ridiculous it's like wearing a bird

Worst coat ever purchases from Northface! Zipper doesn't zip probably The hood snaps off as soon as you touch it! Called customer service NO HELP.

The hood constantly comes off with the slightest pull. I can't even put the hood over my head without it falling off. You can't hold the jacket by the hood because you'd be left with the jacket on the floor and the hood in your hands. I specifically bought this coat because I needed a lighter jacket that had a hood to wear when it was too warm for my Canada Goose jacket. The sleeves are slightly too short but if that was the only problem I'd let it go. Don't buy this coat if you plan to keep the hood on it.

I have this coat from 10 years ago but handed down to my daughter and bought this for myself. The quality is so disappointing for the prices. Metal hood snaps on past coat are now plastic and never stay on the hood- Slightest touch and the whole hood falls off. The zipper pulls are cheap. The feel of the coat is cheap. I ordered directly front the website but it almost feels like a poor knockoff. Not worth the money. Bring back quality Please.

I wear this coat to the gym and run errands and to shop the hood is terrible on this coat .

Snaps on hood are TERRIBLE. They changed them for whatever reason... maybe to save a buck... my last North Face has great metal snaps. Now they are tiny plastic things. Every time you touch the hood it comes off!!!! Sooooo frustrating!!! Wish I would have read reviews before I purchased. Would love to return!!!!

Winter coat

I like that it is long enough. It also is warm for how light it is. I do however not like that my car seats and clothes are covered in down from the coat.

Warm coat, don't like the hood

For the amount of money this coat costs I should not have all of these problems with it.. it is poorly made. Disappointed totally.

I have this same jacket a 5 years old and the older version hood works great. This version the hood easily unsnaps when putting it over my head. If the wind blows the hood snaps off. The hood is absolutely useless. For such an expensive winter jacket I'm very disappointed. I expect better quality NF.

Sleeves seem small in diameter. Wish there was more room for moving all around. Snaps for hood are COMPLETELY USELESS. Why in the world would TNF produced the Metropolis ll AND Metropolis lll with such horrible snaps? Doesn't the amount TNF spent in return shipping justify the expense of using quality snaps?

I have had this jacket for only a couple weeks and there are feathers coming out of the jacket everywhere. Like a previous customer said, my car seat is covered in feathers and my clothing. I am so disappointed in this jacket.

For this amount of money, a removable hood should not be built with cheap, plastic snaps. Literally every time I remove my purse, or a bag, or a seat belt while wearing this, the hood comes completely off. I have had much cheaper coats better-designed.

I just bought this very expensive coat and hood is constantly coming off. I would not recommend due to this.

I'm in the process of trying return this coat to the store I bought it from or send it to the warranty dept. at North Face because the snaps on hood do not work.

This is not a good coat. I Purchase this coat from Northface and feathers were everywhere. feathers came out for five days straight and a lot of them so I had to end up returning the coat. I have no idea how it got five stars.
